How do I play online

Im new here and i have x box live and when I press A for online and it takes me to compatibility packs and stuff with other things, I download it and it doesn't go to my active downloads. I really want to have a crew. Please help

As far as Crews goes, you can either create your own or join one of the existing.

I Press A for online and it takes me to compatibility packs and stuff with other things.

Go to the Compatibility Packs Menu --> Press A to Download --> Confirm Purchase --> OK --> *Wait for it to download* --> Exit the Compatibility Menu (Press B)

It should take you now back to Single Player. From there you can load up GTA: O, via the Pause Menu --> Online --> Play GTA Online --> Go.

Make sure you download all of them. It should indicate if it is already installed
