I honestly DO think now they have been holding on to Heists until now personally. Even if they were ready. They have been adding tweaks here and there and code. That makes total sense if you think about it, with the current gen release right around the corner, they are obviously going to be shifting their focus to that more. Why not give the players something they have been pining for since Launch rather than the usual additions of vehicles etc? Whilst I don't think 1.17 will be the last update for last gen, it's a good tool to hold players over if they make it meaningful enough.

exactly. It must be Heist coming next week. I even believe casino dlc might be included in the heist update. They open the casinos and other buildings so that we can both play them and spend our money but also plan our heist to attack them. Because Casinos have lots of money don´t they? Everything seems to add up perfectly now, because in the end we dont get a anniversary of GTAonline everyday do we.

 

*And it wouldnt make sense to just plan and do heist on banks.

It has been 38 days since the last update. Basically there should be a new update very soon.

The reason I think it isn't going to be heists is because of the Casino.

 

If the Casino comes out before heists, sure ill play Blackjack, I'll play the slot machines.

 

If the Casino comes out at the same time of heists or anytime after it, all I'm doing is knocking it over.

 

I mean you can't have heists and a Casino and not expect to pull a heist on the Casino.

Some people seem to forget that Rockstar still need to sell their game. Yes, GTA does sell itself, but naturally as a company they should want to do everything they can to make people confident about picking up a current gen copy as well. Not piss them off. I don't believe it will be LTS, as Rockstar would be able to clearly see that it's one of the least played modes, and not something people have been anticipating for a DLC.

 

I think that's been interpreted wrong, or is their way of hiding another DLC.

I don´t see the problem? It´s more unlikely to just have banks to plan heist on when we aldready did that for the last year on single player. A casino standalone dlc sounds stupid, a casino included in the heist update along other things seems perfectly reasonable for me.

But on what other buildings and enterprises would be good for making heist other than banks in the game? I can only think of a casino as of now. It´s the first anniversary, it going to be big. Taking part of the news on expanding ps3 memory for the next update it makes perfect sense for a Heist,casino and other things to be updated. GTA is all about money and it would be stupid to leave casino out of a Heist update.

 

Casinos are the perfect goal to make a heist on. Many people, plenty of cash etc.And also the coding leak for Heist and casino wasn´t so much far from one another timewise...Trust me, you´ll see that they´ve held on to a real bomb on tuesday/wednesday. The coding is there, both for heist and casino. This is it.

Humane Labs, pretty sure there was a code to do with Heists. Stealing something top secret from the Lab? Maybe something in Fort Zancudo too?

Big green fur coats, gold canes, stockings that can be worn with skirts for the girls, an old school Lincoln or Rolls Royce limo that you can customize.

Well there's no way anyone is going to take rockstar or the ps4 release seriously if we don't get heists before November so thats a given but it doesn't mean it's next week. We should probably get the full mission creator before then too. Can't for the life of me see any other point to this stupid timed mission payment.

Diamonds in a safe at Michael's.

 

"Zuckerberg" probably has millions at Life Invader.

Perhaps there are legal issues about Rockstar releasing a Casino update? What are the laws in the USA about online gambling? I was reading something about the Federal Wire Act that seems to suggest online gambling is illegal.

 

I know it wouldn't be a proper online Casino, but the fact you can buy shark cards and then use that in game currency to gamble may land Rockstar in hot water. Perhaps that's why it's not already opened the Casino and why you can't buy lottery tickets?

I don't think theres any issues as PS Home has had a casino where you buy chips with real money. I think any legal stuff comes from actually winning real money or prizes.

Thanks, that makes sense. It's not real gambling because there is no way you can withdraw any winnings. It's purely for entertainment.
