January is the PC release. 2 weeks of hype leading up to it. Hopefully online will be buttery smooth compared to the last two launches.

Oh right that 'ol thing is coming out. Yeah,anyone think R* would wait till the 27th for heists? They specifically said it'd be the first update on next gen consoles.

Is a cashpack something other than a dlc? Have we had an example of this before?

The cash pack stuff is ready as I think or why would R* set a start date for it ?

I think it's something to do with players who transfer/create their characters or a free cash pack for all players .

 

 

Probably a holiday promotion to boost sales during Xmas. So cash packs to lure in new players and have the snow for the already rich players that don't even need the cash. By then an update will have happened (first half of december) featuring those new free mode activities and hopefully the H word. R* probably considered the New gen version as an "update" (as it did contain some new stuff for Online for next gen) but since last gen has no update since oct 2, no way they are letting early december slide.

 

So my expectation for content;

 

Dec 1 - 15 possible new update with FM activities now that the Online is pretty stable. With info on the update dropping one week in advance.

Dec 24 rockstar use tunables to enable snow, the Xmas masks and will just dump the cash on your account. No update needed.

 

Leaves january open for a new content.

 

I'd like heists in January as it gives you something to look forward to during the worst month of the year......though I hope they give us snow until the 5th this time

Fairly confident Heist will be released within the next two weeks. We've gone quite a while without an Update now, and leaving late December for a Christmas special makes sense. They won't release Heists in January, because I imagine they would want to put their focus on preparing and hyping up the PC release, don't forget they will most likely release a Trailer and Screenshots like they did for PS4/One.

 

They can draw a lot of people in with the December month, Heists are an anticipated add-on to Online, which might convince last gen players to make the move, and a lot of kiddies will be getting new consoles for Christmas, so I'd expect them to do something for it again. You have to remember this a new generation of consoles and new players won't have got to experience Snow last time.

Cool I transfer on Dec 25th so does that mean I get a free cash pack? I already have 8 mil but I wouldn't mind more. Its probably 50,000 or something

I think it'll be this month too. R* specified it would be the first update for PS4 and XB1. They didn't mention PC because it'll already be out by then.

If snow happens again, I speculate it being one day just like last year. Christmas Day, short and sweet. Anyone thinking it will be longer will be disappointed.

Wait for pc version, pc version broken, trying to fix pc version, trying keep another platform in the same line of update again, screw the stuff again, trying to fix again, screw others, and then say heist will be delayed due to the bugs.

The mods keep complaining about spamming and off-topic posts but they never remove the main problem players. It would be nice for a mod to restrict his posting in this thread.

 

Would ATM hacking be something associated with heists now because of xbone/ps4 releases or will that feature never be brought back? I remember funmw2 saying it was a cut feature for micheal but it would be neat to see them bring that to online.
