GTA Online: Rumors & Speculation

The chances of a new update coming out tomorrow are pretty good. R* is well known for releasing updates even though half their game is broken. Plus it'll then give us a month for the Xmas DLC which I presume will be the same as last year. Which will be quite boring since I've already experienced that and was not able to keep my Xmas gear yay!

 

The lack of content is ridiculous at the moment. I don't play online anymore since I have nothing else to do - no goals, nothing to unlock, nothing to gain - nothing! And since DMs are my main gameplay - the idiocy of spending so much time trawling through 10000RP$$$$ DMs is too overwhelming for me at this point. And of course a few missions would be nice other than rooftop rumble.

 

No thank you! My PS3 is getting a rest while R* tries and fixes their game for now.

 

In ending, I have analyzed the situation in great detail and can only conclude that the online playerbase (Except for a few) are morons.

Honestly, I do not believe that we will get the h-word update tomorrow. Remember that Rockstar said that we would get some news on the upcoming updates first...

I doubt we'll receive an update tomorrow. Possibly news relating to heists, but that's really the closest thing you'll get to heists tomorrow. Remember, this is Rock Stars most wanted update, they wouldn't release it without any news prior to release to create hype.

I honestly don't think that R* will drop Heists without a massive PR campaign. Look at the fuss they made over Flight School (although I thought it was nowhere near as good as it should have been).

 

I think they will have at least 2 weeks of hype for Heists, trying to pull in more players before dropping it

I speculate heists tomorrow, or information on them, followed by a release next Tuesday.

Heists will come out on Christmas Eve. It will include Santa's Sled as a new vehicle, a candy cane melee weapon and new character customization such as elf ears for our Online characters. Reindeers will also appear on the map during the limited time snow period and there's a new mystery mission which will involve trying to find Rudolph. In the end of the mission you have the option to kill him. It will also include balaclavas, which are useful for both heists and Christmas. Hence the name: "Christmas heists dlc"

Seriously though I think they're coming out on December at some point. That's all I can really say about that. Hopefully some info tomorrow, but I wouldn't even keep my hopes up too high for that since they're probably focusing more on fixing Online.

Come to this thread on a Monday and all you'll find is false hope. We already know the hists will be included in the next "Online Update" so, what funmw2 is finding shouldn't really be a surprise. It would be great if they released them though because then it would get people to continue trying to play their broken game.

Probably news, or even more likely pre-hype news: Probably a teaser, maybe "We can't wait to tell you more about the roles you and your crew will pick and play as you plan our massive and fun heists! Stay tuned for more!"
Followed by two week PR campaign w/mini content and possibly a CVG/IGN "We've Played Heists!" article.

^ It's just a fee you pay for when you eat, drink or smoke in your apartment and automatically drop the item on the ground after having used it. The "maid" (not an actual maid, just a cell reset) cleans those items up for the next time you enter your apartment.

Nothing to do with the maid seen next to the washer/dryer machines in that screenshot from a few weeks ago.

I do believe some info will hit this week either about a new patch for the matchmaking or the heist DLC, but that no content will actually hit right now, the online still doesn't work well enough to bring out such a big pack.
