Before the game released, The Benz talked about splitting payouts for jobs... Or not splitting them and ripping off your crew members. It looks like some form of that functionality is coming with heists.

 

Can't wait.

That really makes no sense though unless you play with friends.

 

I'm pretty sure that talk was exclusively about heists,not the jobs we play currently.

Maybe for heists a reputation system will be implemented- similar to mental state and names for numerical level, but permanent. The more trustworthy reputations requiring a higher cut of the job.....sort of like Single Player. The higher the level, the more untrustworthy you are.

 

Level 1- Stand Up Guy

Level 2- Mercenary

Level 3-Excon

Level 4- Crook

Level 5- Rat

Level 6- Republican

Probably not, but some people don't have friends that they can always play with so they're forced to play them with random people.

In al honesty that would be ridiculous if they wouldn't release a update before January because the last update was more than 8 weeks ago.

I want heists to drop too, i'm glad they've told us heists are the next update.

I doubt they will add it this week as online is still broken. Next week is a sure bet at this point.

A lot of people don't know this, but it's mainly only broken when you're in a public or invite only.

 

Go to a closed friends session, and after each mission, it takes literally ten seconds in the cloud to load down to the street. I played with six friends for about seven hours straight on my day off yesterday, nobody disconnected, nobody lagged out, and it was good old fashioned, police murdering fun.

 

If you have friends, I highly suggest playing in a closed session until Rockstar fixes the server issues. If not, it's hard to play online.

 

OT: yeah I don't see anything coming out tomorrow. They would've said something by now. Its heists we're talking about.

Even when or if heists come out, I'm not so sure it is going to work very well how will people divide up the jobs? Will the host choose? I can see it if you are doing it with friends you have worked with but if you only got randoms what if everybody wants to be the gunmen and nobody wants to be the computer hacker and people keep quitting while you are playing because they don't like their assigned job? What if people lose their connection and so all of a sudden your get away driver disappears? The idea is cool but I don't know how it will turn out.

The chances of a new update coming out tomorrow are pretty good. R* is well known for releasing updates even though half their game is broken. Plus it'll then give us a month for the Xmas DLC which I presume will be the same as last year. Which will be quite boring since I've already experienced that and was not able to keep my Xmas gear yay!

 

The lack of content is ridiculous at the moment. I don't play online anymore since I have nothing else to do - no goals, nothing to unlock, nothing to gain - nothing! And since DMs are my main gameplay - the idiocy of spending so much time trawling through 10000RP$$$$ DMs is too overwhelming for me at this point. And of course a few missions would be nice other than rooftop rumble.

 

No thank you! My PS3 is getting a rest while R* tries and fixes their game for now.

 

In ending, I have analyzed the situation in great detail and can only conclude that the online playerbase (Except for a few) are morons.

Your going to be disappointed. If anyone moans on here tomorrow they are probably just messing around or dumb. There is nothing to suggest anything is coming tomorrow so people shouldn't expect it

Well, they are still fixing connection issues, so maybe in December, who knows.

The release of the heist dlc will probably be based on 2 things:

1) Next gen online running "better"

2) Next gen players getting complacent with online

 

2 gives R* the most leeway, I think most next gen players are new.

 

Regardless we should have something before Christmas. I can't see them passing it up, even they just release last years dlc again. (Yes I was there for the Christmas dlc last year and except for the snow it was underwhelming. But the most of my GTA friends weren't online then and did not get to, and are looking forward to it)

 

I just don't see R* releasing them together. It would be the ultimate gift (that or the Hydra) but I think it would distract from rest of the dlc. And of course by that I mean the snow.

 

So I think heists will be next week but who knows.

 

It would be cool if they had snow balls as temporary weapon for Christmas. Maybe they could make you rag doll but not kill you!

If R* didn't care about last gen then they wouldn't be giving last gen users heists. Just because they put the game on other consoles doesn't mean that they are the favorites. They added hardly anything new to NG anyway. Just what you would get in a small DLC really. Apart from fpv and graphics
