Why not be a billionare on current gen with all the new stuff? If you cant afford current gen just say it. Who would choose not to have more options and better graphics. I personally can not afford the new gen yet (yes ugotsmoked, I'm a loser) but I'm workin my way to it.

How can you be a billionaire in current gen online? Were you ever a billionaire in last gen? It was a pretty awesome thing. I don't want to buy a next gen console because I don't play a lot of video games, the only game I would buy on current gen is gta v. It's pretty much the same thing right? It wouldn't make a lot of sense to buy a completely new game system for one game I already own.

PS3/Xbox 360 has been jailbroken or whatever you call it. I haven't heard of anyone jail breaking their brand new consoles and even if there are some there, there are not as close to as many hackers running around causing havoc on current gen compared to last gen. Being a billionaire is the ultimate freedom for someone like me, I hate doing jobs, I can change my garage at will, buy an adder only to sell it for a croquette, change properties just because, blow through sticky bombs etc. Edited November 4, 2014 by Flyby29

I kinda thought the same thing you know-- wishing I had never been a billionaire stuff like that, then after a few months of being poor I realized how much fun being a billionaire is. Not everyone feels this way you know different strokes for different folks.

Well, I'm hoping for some dlc that affect the more core structure of the game and make it be the way it should.

 

No more auto-launching when you step into a job corona.

 

No more radar map clutter. I do not need to know the whereabouts of every job launch at every moment. Better yet, get rid of them all together, I maybe launched one job on purpose by walking into it, it's called the tutorial.

 

Get the details about an online session before exiting the current session. It should be able to tell me my friend's lobby is full before leaving mine so I can keep playing. How many times have I been put into an interim lobby after a long load time to be told immediately a slot has been open.

 

Being able to select the lobby or join friends after changing my character. I have to exit one lobby, choose my character, spawn into a second and then I can join my friends in the original, or exit to SP to start up an invite one.

 

Put certain contacts through select button. I go to access my vehicle through there to find its blown up, I should be able to connect to Mors (w/o any ringing) from there. Lester and Merryweather should be there too.

 

Oh and most important. BE ABLE TO TURN OFF COPS!!!

 

And a targeting priority system that doesn't target cops when I'm fighting players.

Hoping to see a lot new Interior footage soon. So far, not so much, but not much footage either. Fingers crossed for a much more "open world" than what has been delivered.

Why buy a lame-ass console that requires a subscription fee just to play online when I could get the superior PC version? But even then there's not much incentive to "upgrade" besides prettier graphics and a better framerate. The first-person view seems sorta cool but isn't a game-changer (funny how Rockstar said a while back that they had no interest in doing a FPV game). Outside of a few exclusive weapons and vehicles, it's the same game with a shiny coat of fresh paint and a few gimmicks to try to entice people to buy it again at full price. Of course the Rockstar blowhards will just write off any negative criticism by just saying "LOL U 2 POOR" which is pretty childish because that's just a poor assumption to try to deflect against people not shilling out for the game and pretending it's the best thing since sliced bread.

 

OT: I think the railgun will make it online and will be hilariously OP.

It's only mentioning what will be displayed on screen when you're transferring...what it does say is CASH, though, so I guess the doubters can finally shut it on that one.

All earned in-game money will transfer. Purchased in-game money that has not yet been spent will only transfer within a console family (e.g. PlayStation®3 to PlayStation®4).

Seems you haven't seen anything at all regarding the new game. I'll be finally able to toss my X360 once GTAV comes out on the XB1.

Sold half the games I got that I haven't touched in monthes. Got a total of $172, So I recommend doing that if you don't exactly have the cash to upgrade.

A little belated but these are some speculations I have on the newswire article on exclusive content for returning players.

 

This is the most disturbing sentence in my mind in the whole article.

 

"There will also be a bounty of content for all players, new and returning, to discover - including a fleet of classic GTA vehicles..."

 

Whereas it states "ALL players" it does specify "new and returning". This to me limits this content to current gen people, the fact that its an article titled " exclusive content for new and returning players on PS4, XBox One and PC" bolsters it.

 

Previously forum contributors speculated quantifying "fleet". I won't do that here but let's say any amount of vehicles over 3 would be considers a fleet. I'm definitely nitpicking here but that to me could mean last gen may NEVER receive more than 3 vehicles from the classic installments. Mitigating factor is that we have already received well more that that amount classic vehicles.

 

Vehicles is also a generic term. This encapsulates cars, trucks, boats, PLANES and HELICOPTERS. The hydra and hunter could be grouped within it, therefore we may never receive them.

 

I don't believe it at least on the Hydra part but the wording exists.

 

The biggest mitigating factor is that R* frequently mis-speaks and leaves ambiguity in their articles.

I personally don't get bothered with the exclusive contents. It's very normal if they want to give exclusive contents for newer version.

 

But some of you ps4/x1 owners are really acting lame with 'I got the latest toy' kid kind of attitude.

The first 2 leave me hope. We know from previously leaked audio files that the Maze Bank Arena may possibly be opened to motocross and stock car races. The NEW location (singular) appears to be by the satellite dishes. We've seen new livery Burger Shot, there could be 3 additional new ones., leaving other stock cars running existing liveries, Sprunk, Redwood, etc...

 

The terms "unique custom Muscle Cars adorned with logos from some of the companies that made this country great." and "new Muscle Cars" DO NOT NECESSARILY apply to the Stallion or the Dukes, stock or Highway Reaper with or without livery paint jobs as well as other classic and even some other new DIFFERENT muscle cars.

I believe the "Duke O Death" is obviously the specific Dukes that was spoken of as exclusive content for returning players, leaving a normal Dukes available for last gen.

 

Additionally I think the "DOD" is going to be so overpowered that it won't appear online. (Doesn't stop me from imagining it going up against a recomissioned JB700)
