It will be pretty disappointing if Rockstar passes up on GTA V's anniversary.

 

I sure hope that September isn't our first month in awhile without content. The serious lack of leaks means Rockstar is cracking down on secrecy or we simply are't getting anything.

 

I still Speculate that an event will start up on the 17th of September and last for a week to celebrate the GTA V Anniversary (I mean we had the Contact Services discount recently out of nowhere) and a GTA Online Update on 30th September so New Content can be enjoyed on the GTA Online Anniversary the next day...

 

Although there is no reason to expect anything and all of this is just speculation, I would be disappointed if nothing was done for either 1 Year Anniversary when R* are committed to providing Updates to the game so it is not hard to time an Update to make themselves look good and keep fans happy.

I'm very keen for them, and like to give a nudge at their lateness, but the game is great without them anyway.

 

Not really a drama.

More interesting will be how the new version plays out.

Honestly, with a study as gigantic as Rockstar's, I wouldn't be surprised if they finished heists a while ago and have been delaying it. I mean, they released capture and race editor, and those gamemodes can't be that much more complex to make than heists, besides recording new voice lines.

If R* is going to make any update, expect it to be on the birthday of GTA Online and not GTA V. After all, the updates are primarily geared towards online.

 

Not only that, but they've also recently released the Flight School update and even more recently announced next-gen. They're not going to ruin next-gens momentum by talking about current gen that soon. Plus, November 1st falls into their month-by-month release window for DLCs.

It doesn't say anything. It's just a black & white R* logo. I seriously think they are just f-ing with us. ;)

I can read it fine. Its got the new gen announcment then after that the trailer and after that the live stream.

Also look at the Tags at the top of the Post and PS4 & Xbox One are there but PS3/360 are not...I do not think we can read much into the blank post.

My newswire background just changed to a road surface without me refreshing the browser. I then refreshed and it loaded the info but no background

 

Edit:now the background changed again and is a pic with Micheal holding what looks like an asault sniper?? Either new weapon or old pic (I havent see it before personally) with cut content

Rockstar has a serious issue with removing things that are useful. I remember some of the artwork from GTA IV showed that you might be able to snipe from a helicopter (which obviously was never implemented into gameplay) and on top of that they made aiming from a helicopter with any weapon extremely difficult and almost obsolete. The artwork they make is extremely misleading. I jumped in GTA Online thinking that we could rock different colored face bandanas and play gang banger but I was disappointed, not to mention the emphasis on suit wearing mafioso crime, like okay I understand the game is about bank roberies but where's all that gangsta sh*t?

I don't get why they removed that AR-like sniper either, a semi-auto sniper carbine would be a charm in the game.

Yes, it does change, also there's a artwork for the assault sniper since day one.

 

Even though the servers got down for few minutes today, it said they were doing manutention.

We are already discussing that in another thread. Just read the URL: "grand-theft-auto-v-release-dates-and-exclusive-content" - It's the exact same name as the previous one about the exclusive content. Very likely just a bug.
