Broken ramps since 1.16 / BMXing heavily affected

Since the last patch, ramps, especially the small one, have started to raise the part you get on a bit, right the moment when you get on. on the BMX this gives you a little bump that makes you jump in to the ramp, instead of driving on to it, and makes certain user created jobs much less enjoyable, if they can still be done at all.

 

i'm so ready for next-gen...

you dont know what you are talking about

 

every one ive ever played has way too many or launches you off the intended path or into a solid object or in a criss cross pattern so you hit each other, all of which f*cks your chances of winning, plus they slow you down. ramps have no place in races. ill grant you that they are cool if you like stunting/f*cking around for sure, but in a race they are retarded, and only used to give the creator and advantage in every one ive ever played so I avoid them, cause they suck and are not fun most of the time. very few have had one or two and were remotely decent to race on.

 

of course im not a 10yr old kid either, so maybe im just not hip enough for ramp racing. I prefer my tires to be on the ground so i can control my vehicle, lol

you need to play better jobs, that's all. i guess i'm lucky to have found the company of some of the best creators in this game, but then again, things like that happen if you don't spit poison on certain kinds of creations just because you made some bad experiences. also, most people who complain about bad ramp races, or bad content in general, never even made the slightest effort to proactively search for the good content and just join random invites, only to then start hating on all user generated content.

 

tl;dr loosen up, you're missing out. or don't, what do i care?

 

oh, and you can damn well control your car/bike in the air. simply press RB or A, then balance out the vehicle.

I remember the first time that this issue came about and thought that R* had fixed it way back when, I don't get why, with every new update, that old glitches come out of the wood works also.

I have noticed on the last few jobs I made, some of the small ramps are hovering about 6" above the ground. I have been making a lot of BMX parks and have not noticed any issues with them though. But mine are usually designed so that you need to wheelie up the entire thing to hit the landing zone... maybe that makes a difference?

yeah, mine are too. that's what makes this so sh*tty, cause if you wheelie before hitting the ramp, that little bump will make you jump a bit, instead of rolling on to the ramp clean. the only way to avoid it atm, is to either use the large ramp (medium is affected too) or to makes sure the ground is 100% flat.

Get a Ruffian, PCJ675 or Nemesis... fully modify it and do stunts. It's just as fun as a BMX.

Yah it's hit or miss on motorcycles. But I've found that it's easier to land the Nemesis off high jumps (maybe better suspension since it's a supermoto?). Just have to have the rear wheel touch the ground before the front wheel and you'll be fine. Land on both at the same time and you'll crash.

Yeah, works with some jumps, but have you ever tried the jump around the corner from Madrazo's...it's impossible to land on a motorcycle.
