GTA Online Class Action lawsuit dismissed.

A class-action lawsuit filed against Rockstar Games and Take-Two has been dismissed by a US District Court in California today, Game Politics reports.

The plaintiffs in the class-action suit argued that Rockstar and Take-Two failed to deliver the full, promised Grand Theft Auto 5 experience – specifically, the online portion of the game, GTA Online. The suit claimed the state of Grand Theft Auto 5 at launch last September was "unlawful," "unfair" and "fraudulent" on the part of Take-Two and Rockstar. Judge Virginia A. Phillips disagreed, citing there is no language on the Grand Theft Auto 5 packaging guaranteeing the online portion of the game "immediately."

GTA Online launched on October 1, weeks after GTA 5 made its $1 billion debut at retail. Since then, Rockstar has iterated on its multiplayer offering by adding race and deathmatch creation tools, along with Rockstar Verified Jobs. Co-op heists will be added toGTA Online later this year.

Those lawyers behind this should be disbarred for bringing vexatious and frivolous lawsuits before the courts, the plaintiffs who were involved in this going ahead should be horsewhipped through the streets for wasting everyones time, and then be forcibly neutered so they can't breed what are guaranteed to be sub-standard "human beings".

I do believe that everyone in america as a right is allowed representation, so who ever brought the class action suit, paid to be represented. They just be doing their jobs.

Now if it was a case by the gaming comunity rockstar would be f*cked as they have not for filled what was advertived at launch..

I think I love R* more because of how many lawsuits they get and they still get away with it (well, some of them). It's like a legend that you discover, buried in the sand, and then you read all about it and you're amazed by how much sh*t it went through yet it's still "living", you know? While it's not worth suing over for, I do think that showing heists in the GTA:O launch trailer and then not having them in the game a year later is a bit of a lie in some way. There's tons of topics about heists being "promised" to us so I won't get into it but it's pretty much false advertisement. I'm really wondering when heists will drop and how much of a sh*tstorm, good or bad, it's gonna cause. I honestly am more excited to see the feedback of heists instead of actual heists.

So it all boils down to what's on the box? It was in the trailer for GTA Online which is propaganda and that is false advertising.

I remember reading this old story back in February. Is there something new about it that I'm not seeing? I'm pretty sure that case was dismissed in court at the time of that article being published, not any time recently.
