My intention was to do plenty of racing in GTAO as I enjoyed it very much in IV, but Slipstream and Catch-Up ruined it for me (not to mention other players...)

I remember GTA IV was a big disappointment to me... mostly because of the map. But I loved playing GTA IV online, one of my favorite online games (especially racing).....

I've done alittle over 600 races right now. Got pretty bored of racing and took a break from it because I was only racing for the first 2-3 months and did missions to get money. I'll probably come back to racing now that I have over 10mil from grinding.

I've done 63 races and lost 45 of them, but I don't care. A) I'm not really a race fan and B) the losses mostly came from letting people beat me to get wins for unlocks. I'm not even a deathmatcher either. I mainly free roam and do some missions every now and then. I'm just a sandbox junkie.

I'd probably have over 4,000 races if the game had a filter for quick joining. I typically back out of 15 races before I find one that has catchup off.

Not enough since i recently have been focusing on chasing awards and since i got cars in each class all upgrades for my second character who is a street racer, ill probably start racing more often but i mix it up when playing as i don't like doing the same stuff over again.

Level 166 with 10 races won, 14 lost, 24 races total... yeah, not a big fan of racing, as you can see.

I'm not terrible at it, but it's just not that interesting to me unless it's a game dedicated to racing (like Forza or Gran Turismo), as they tend to have first-person driving and are more polished in the driving department. GTA V's slipstream and catch-up options, as well as the race rammers, don't encourage me to do races much at all, either.

You're not finding the right crews.

 

One of the crews I'm in does something called Multi Class. Here's a snip of a short explaination:

 

"... multi class endurance playlist .... 2 classes of cars, I'll use the last event as a example we used sport class and sedan class and the cars we used were sultan and feltzer in sports and schafter and primo for sedans and what i proposed was you would have 1 good class car and one lower so the choices of cars would be the schafter and sultan or the feltzer and primo .... "

 

There are all sorts of events. People can be randomly teamed up in pairs, and one must use the slower car and the other the faster car.

 

"Tryhards" may be more or less true, but polite unless just razzing each other. Maybe I'm not up on the lingo as to what exactly a "Tryhard" is, and why it's bad. I'm trying just as hard after a few snifters of whiskey, just not as effective.

I think my stats on SC said 281 wins 1135 losses.

You're not finding the right crews.

Ah ok lol. Believe it or not, there are people with this many races. I know a few that have close to 10,000 total.

Somewhere around 1400-1500 with about 750-775 wins and 650-675 losses. Don't see too many with a positive record so pretty decent

1300 wins and 1700 losses. Like many others in here Im heavily involved in a racing crew ,Apex Stalkers, but take the time to race with other crews like World Racing Elite, Red Rum Racing and Nonchalant Dominance.

As someone said further up the thread its hard to keep a positive win/loss ratio when you're racing against some of the best drivers in the game on a consistent basis. Anyhow racing is the only thing keeping this game going for me but having some good, clean racing battles with some incredibly skilled racers is still a hell of a lot of fun!

• Three-quarters (75%) of the forum have done less than 1000 races, ~2-3 races/day average.
• Only 10% of GTAF members have done 2000 races or more, ~5-6 races/day average.

 

For the half of the community that hasn't hit 500 yet, get on your racing game and do more races!

around 300 i think, i unlocked all car upgrades. havent really raced since. my last race was a sports classics, where some modder appeared in an entity and won.
