Race heads poll: how many races have you done?

Personally, I've done upwards of 3000 races, and looking at the character selection selection screen in most races, I seem to be way above the average number of races most people have played, which is usually under a thousand. But then again, GTA races are basically all I play in the way of videogames, aside from the occasional free roam shenanigans. But I'm curious to see how many races yall have done and what's considered an "excessive" amount of racing.

I love to race and have a positive win loss ratio. But I hate that the majority I join are stupid tracks and or have catch up turned on. That should be off by default for the noob hosts. I've done like 700 races.

I would've gotten sick of racing within the first couple months if it wasn't for Rockstar rolling out custom player-made races. Ezula, Unspoken ouch, and BlazeMoreGaming (Xbox) really know how to make some sickass races with original ideas that can keep me entertained for a very long time.

My favorite race at the moment, and a lot of people's new favorite race that I play it with. Turn GTA on and set it for multiple laps (6+), and watch the chaos ensue. It's like a deathmatch on wheels with a lot of fun in between, highly highly recommend for anybody who likes unique fun races.

That's casual game play, and I don't spend too much time on races because of the lower payout - mixed in with the other game modes when I don't need cash.

Do you even have second character? Win/loss race stats are shared between characters.

You need to join a Sliptsteam/Catchup OFF crew. I'm in a racing crew that also follows (as best as possible) F1 rules of racing and proper etiquette.

 

I'm over 2,000 races, but others I race with are over 7,000 races. I'm lucky if I don't DNF against these folks, but I love the challenge!

 

Also, there are a TONNE of awesome, custom races out there. So browse, bookmark, then make playlists.

 

In the meantime, continue to back out of Slipstream/Catchup ON races, they are being hosted by people who probably don't know how to change the default settings. These same people will be boring hosts, and won't have the interest or ability to change up classes to create an enjoyable racing experience for their guests.
