Is owning a Helicopter worth it?

Don't really care for the Supers. I feel I should buy a Helicopter since i like em a lot more now. Is it possible to have your helicopter delivered to you so you can do missions?

Buying a Buzzard was the wisest choice I made in this game.

Though now with the new payout system I find myself driving 80% more often in missions and only really use the Buzzard when I need the fire power. I am yet to buy a super car or a heli yet on my second character as I haven't the need for either at the moment.

The choice is yours.

And yes pegasus will drop your chopper off nearby (sort of) when you request it, during missions or otherwise.

Yes, you can use any vehicle from pegasus in missions. The Buzzard is a wise investment, very useful for transportation, buy it.

It's not really needed since you can call for a merry weather pickup , and then shot the pilot.

Some missions are easier with a buzzard. Trash talk, los Santos connection.

After rank 50 I believe buzzards will spawn at airports.

Like the above guys said, you can't go wrong with the buzzard although it has the tendency the stall after a certain amount of time which is the only negative.

A buzzard is the only helicopter that's worth IMO. Pretty good for missions such as LS Connection. You can't have them delivered to you iirc so you have to pick em' up at a Heliport/Sandy shores Airfield/LS Airport

It's a Pegasus item so it will spawn at one of there locations.

Oops double post.

A Paradox from 94

The Buzzard is a great buy and can repay its cost within a short period. Outside of the Buzzard you have the Annihilator, Frogger, and The Swift.

The Annihilator can carry 8 people but is slow, and the guns are piss poor.

The frogger is my favorite unarmed Heli, with great speed, agility, and a guarded Tail rotor.

The Swift is fast but can be a little unstable at times.

M suggestion is to use them in SP and weigh the good vs the bad and decide if you want a Heli in the first place. I only regret buying the Maverick.

What about the the swift? I like the looks of it. Is it fast? I'll be using it for missions and in free roam when shopping. Why the fuk didn't Rockstar add a helipad on apartments?

Buzzard for sure, I even tried using it in a versus mission :D (didn't win though, couldn't destroy all the target cars in the multi-storey car park)

My main fun on GTAO is joining random missions, with the payout system change the other players are chosing a larger range of missions which is really nice, but now I'm level 364 and usually put with low levels I try not to storm through and dominate the mission so I doin't spoil it for everyone else, which can often mean not calling for my Buzzard or tank as they're overkill against the firepower the other players can bring.

You can own them all, but like all owned vehicles you can only use one at a time.

I can't think of anything more boring than doing missions with a buzzard. Can someone that does this explain to me why you bother even playing this game?

I've had a Buzzard since the billionaire days, it's great for missions. Well, at least it was before the most recent patch. Don't really need it anymore.

My second character has a Swift (grabbed it with that free Swift glitch a while back) and it's much less useful. Free roam has plenty of Froggers around, and despite the Swift being the fastest chopper, it's not THAT much faster to make any real difference.

Given the payouts the way they are right now, I would not bother grinding for a Buzzard. And definitely would not invest in an unarmed helicopter.

My problem is learning to aim with the damn thing. Maybe need more practice. I know you can switch views in the machine gun helicopter, but its still hard.

The Buzzard missiles lock on to the bad guys in missions, so aim does not matter.

As (almost) everybody above says, the Buzzard is THE right tool for several key missions. :^:

Buy the buzzard and never look back. It will be the best gta decision youll ever make.

So they can add them later at a cost of 500k- 1 mil to upgrade your high end apt to have one. Haha cmon this is capitalism baby!!

^ I'm with this guy.

No wait!!! I think he edited his post...

Just buy the Buzzard and never look back, like he originally said.

And the Cargobob if R* didnt patch that yet.

The buzzard was essential up until the great payment stuff up of 1.16. Now it's just armed transport or a bounty hunting machine for freeroam.

Still a great machine but has limited money making potential now. Before you were a nobody unless you had one.

The unarmed buzzards on top of the police station used to be great free transport for delivering the document in RR (you can get up there with a ruffian bike). All pointless tactics since 1.16 though.

Buzzard is the way to go, very worth it. BTW, don't feel bad about struggling with the guns, they're basically useless because of the turbulence. Other heli's are nice but are no help in missions without good weapons or any at all. Just luxurious transport.

Buzzard is nice, Cargobob is a lot more fun to fool around with though. That being said, i'm not sure if you can still glitch/buy it.
