Because it pisses me off how pretty it is of a game, yet it failed in so many ways. So I read such topics and comment and like reading incite of what others are feeling, and by the looks of it, others have the same opinions I am getting, yet, me, Osho, OG, and others get singled out for not sugar coating everything like you want us to. We just say how we feel and it's the bottom line.

 

You seem to think just cuz I bash it, I rate V a 1/10 or something, if you are aware (which I highly doubt you are) you would know I've said in countless topics that I rate GTA V as a 6/10. However, as a GTA Title, it doesn't live up to past games, hence why I think V is the worst in the series. But saying that, it doesn't mean I think V is actually a bad game. It's a good game, for instance, if it'd be made my another company or franchise, but coming from a Rockstar and GTA Title, it's a piss poor game considering I can play any of the 5 3D Era Games and GTA IV + Episodes from Liberty City included any day, anytime and see that it feels like a GTA game. Even though the entire HD Era has a lot less to do than in 3D Era, and a lot more heavily scripted, I still love IV and it alternates as my favorite game in the series next to SA. V has fell short. And if you can't accept that, then my comments aren't the problems, you're the problem for not being able to accept it.

I am quite annoyed at Rockstar for not closing down GTA: Online. Nobody deserves it, yet Rockstar still continues to work on it and gets bitched at every day for every contribution they make to fix it.

Yeah I am extremely disappointed with Rockstar on many levels. The release of GTA beta for 360/PS3. The abortion that is GTA Online being their main focus. Putting out these precious "free" updates that usually end up screwing up single player mode.

I'm disappointed that they take our suggestions for things to add and then use them to try to sucker us out of $60 to buy the same game again in order to get those things.

 

I'm disappointed that they promised a major game mode that was supposed to be out shorly after online launched but was apparantly put on the back burner for a new version of the same game that they want to try to get us to buy all over again. A game that wasn't supposed to exist according to R☆. They didn't want people to wait for next gen. They wanted people to buy the game on ps3/360 and then buy the game all over again.

 

I get that companies need to make money but you can only thumb your nose at your fans so many times before they take their business elsewhere.

As a PC gamer, you can imagine how I feel about R*. They pretty much dissapointed me, but I still love them as they created GTA, my favorite videogame saga of all time. And I know I will love them even more when I get to play GTAV, despite the delay.

 

But yeah, I feel sh*tted by R* right now (and probably every PC gamer in this forum aswell) but patience comes with great rewards so...

I know R* read these forums because they've announced the dukes with much focus. They've seen a lot of people here complaining about the lack of this car on GTA V. Now I hope they also read all the 642 complaints here due to GTA V lacking gloves to use on custom outfits and balaclavas as a mask and add them at least on the PC version. This stupid delay need to add some interesting stuff like these I mentioned now. We can't be delayed to get the same sh*t as PS4/Xone versions!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah but instead of doing what a rational company would do, ie make the car available to the system people who are asking for it own, either via a free or paid DLC, they use it as bait to try to get people to upgrade. When R* announced that the other day i literally wanted to break my disc in half. I didn't, but after 63 days of GTA:O, i've about given up on the game until the Dukes is released on 360 or some other worthy DLC is added. If i had planned on ordering the game on next gen, i'd be seriously reconsidering it at this point based on how R* has handled things. But since i don't own a next gen system, and my PC is an amd x2 from 2007 running windows XP that had issues running GTA IV, i don't think i'll be purchasing the game a second time.

Yes, I do! From what I've played so far.

To begin with, this is a purely subjective opinion.

GTA V feels a totally different game - with the type of content that's a complete snoozefest to me, throughout. It doesn't deserve the near praise it's getting for delivering another brilliant * GTA TITLE *, which I strongly disagree! I don't see GTA V as another great title, the majority of fans used to love it - as much as the past games, on record.

It's f*cking ridiculous to see that R* has invested every penny in marketing this beautiful world they created, with an equally good environment that is stunning, YET, not long after completing the game for the first time, a dissatisfaction appears soon, at it's core experience, and the feeling of something missing shows up and sets off a strong disappointment, each time I play through, and find out to see the lack of interesting challenging activities, side fun and most importantly, the kind of mayhem possible with the previous games, has been severely toned out and taken a backseat for the realism thrown in, and the FUN, the creative freedom thrown out of the window!

What doesn't work is the consistently missing vibe of returning to playing another game titled GTA!

It's hard to keep a long running interest while the game doesn't give you enough reasons to change at all.

The protagonists, esp. Trevor and some side characters too, throughout the story are just so clumsy and irritating to the point of being pointless, that I wanted them to be killed off, and shoot them down one by one!

In short, the game doesn't shock you, in a good way, since there's nothing significantly original nor meets close to my expectations, that I haven't done before, outside the improvements.

This is a very standard casual video game with a f*cking free ONLINE service filling their pockets, while an unfinished single-player game, which I paid for doesn't excite me, for now, and just plods on for as long I'm playing, and begging for some significant updates to inject some life into it.

It's definitely the most advanced and graphically beautiful addition of the series so far, but not the best GTA game I'd find myself defending Rockstar for eternity.

We've been discussing such bugs since Patch 1.06...

 

Ever check the Help/Support/Troubleshooting Section?

 

Everytime a new Patch/DLC is released is goofs something else up in SP. Examples (and yes these are minor, but to some, they are large) - Vending Machines Stop Working, Fire Truck Water Hose Stopped Working, All Ammo Is Reset Each Time a New Weapon Is Added to a Real Low Amount, Vehicles Are Still Disappearing for People, Traffic Spawning Is Literally Broken for Some People and They Only See 2-3 Models of Vehicles on the Road, etc........This has all been going on since around 1.06-1.08 as far as I can remember.

 

I personally had to use a Save Editor to fix some of Rockstar's things to would "break" with a Patch, and then they fix it with the next Patch, meanwhile something else gets messed up. It's been going on since the start. IV had a total of 8 patches in 6 years. V....Well, it's laughable...

 

However, TheMasterFocker will say coding is difficult and it's a crap chute basically. Fix something, something else goes wrong. But all I gotta ask is why is every other GTA game fine, besides V? Too big for them to handle? Apparently...

It's sad to know that they aren't the same company from the early-late 2000s, they're turning into money-whores who can't keep their promises/shedules. They completly forgot the story dlc they promised, they haven't mentioned it since 2013.

I won't even mention heists lol. They earned sh*tloads of money, but can't still figur out, how to keep shedules? Hire more workers! The best thing they could do at the moment is to fire the R* NYC staff, because they're a bunch of incompetent.

I don't feel disappointed with R*, rather just sorry for them. I know that they make mistakes, sometimes little, other times huge, but with the way they try to please this fanbase only to have said fanbase spout hateful comments like, "they're cash whores" or "they're quickly turning into EA", I can see why the failed to meet some deadlines or keep their promises even with the billions of dollars in cash they've made. Sh*t just seems stressful for them.

I'm pretty disappointed with rockstar at this point. They were kickass back in the days of III and VC when they were still the underdogs yet at the same time knew how to run the show. Fast forward to now, rockstar is pretty much a triple-a title and now they're beginning to show their colors, what with minor DLCs rather than new experiences like TLAD and TBOGT and the remastering.

 

They're also showing a bit of valve in their colors too, what with not being able to make a release date for their heists and constant delays.

When people get confused, they do things they aren't supposed to, and don't work productively.

 

Putting multiple studios all over the world into a single project is counter-productive.

Why are you attacking me bro ? All I said is that you are an unpaid PR and Damage Control specialist for Rockstar, because that's exactly what you are. What's wrong with that ? It's what you do, you vigorously defend Rockstar on these forums the moment anyone criticizes and slates GTA V, and you always make sure you carefully explain away their problems and make up excuses for them in great detail. Rockstar are not paying you for it, as you do not work for them. So therefore that makes you an unpaid PR and Damage Control agent or specialist.

Back on topic.....Rockstar have really disappointed me over the last year with V. They did so well with RDR and GTA IV+EFLC and V was nothing compared to these great titles. the sad thing is, V had the perfect opportunity to greatly improve on these titles and blow them out of the water. I mean V is not even as good as it's predecessor IV, and it's a much bigger and newer game. It's insane that Rockstar has lowered it standards, and sad too.
