How long did it take you to beat GTA: V?

When I played it for the first time it took me 6 days. That's my record.

Finished the story and random events in about 2 weeks after a week the game was released. Haven't gotten 100% and not planning to, got better things to do.

Whole story: 4 days

Whole game (100%): I'm still trying to finish it... JK. I finished everything in about 2 months.

About 10-11 months.

-That has many reasons: I enjoy the game itself and almost finish everything before I end the story as big highlight.

- I was doing random stuff that I always liked to do in GTA. Cop chases, just walking on the beach, exploring the environment with all it surroundings. I want to lose myself into such a big open world and that's the best way for me and it really pays out and tells me it was worth the money. If I just rush through the game without enjoying, understanding or exploring it then it's a waste of money in my opinion.

- I took a break of the game but found into it again.

This is exactly how I have played GTA's since III came out. Hell I even remember tooling around the top down PlayStation 1 games years ago. I always marvel at how Rockstar squeezes so much into each game, I don't want to miss all of the the attention to detail so I can say I beat the game in a day.

I am still not done with the story missions and am a ways off from 100% on GTA V; the A-holes who took to spoiling the story less than 24 hours after the game came out insured I wouldn't be dying of suspense and rush through to see the outcome. It's a sign of our ADHD/short attention span culture that so many proudly boast of beating GTA V in a day or god forbid two.

Rockstar squeezed so much into the game, pushing the last gen hardware to limits probably never imagined possible, it's a shame to speed through it. The PS4 version, aside from the facelift, first person mode and cats is so similar to the PS3 version it speaks volumes on how much they accomplished with last gens swan song. With all of the comparison videos and nit picking over foliage density it's easy to lose sight of the achievement; original version having 1/2 a GB of RAM and the "remaster" anywhere from 5GB to 8GB and aside from some visual sizzle, first person mode and beefing up traffic, wildlife and plantlife they're very much the same game. Incredible.

I will continue my leisurely pace through Los Santos, Blaine County and the rest because there's always something I have never seen, experienced or heard before right around the corner, and there are only a few games that offer that experience in all of gaming...and they are usually made by Rockstar.

I got the ps4 GTA bundle 15 days ago.

I finished the story missions the day before yesterday, did the last assasination mission today. 33 hours playtime as we speak.

ROCKSTAR MANIC

Well Op I don't know how exactly you "beat" a game. Eh?.. I guess with your fists?. More like how much time completing the game.

My first time 2 weeks when I was in high school. Takes me about 4 days if I don't do random stuff or explore.

I can't remember since it was last year. I intentionally play through the story a little slower than I did when I was a kid, because I prefer to take it all in rather than rush through the missions. I know I beat it fairly quick, even for doing quite a bit of free roam in between. Probably had the story finished in the first week, then went on to 100% which maybe took another week. and then i didn't play stock, ran out of money, and had to do it all over again, which was a bummer. I have no problem playing the missions over, but the tasks to get 100% are brutal.
