How long did it take you to beat GTA: V?

Transpiring from the acquisition of Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V at circa 11:00AM on September 17th, I allotted myself about a collective eight weeks to conclude the storyline as scrutinizing the unparalleled world and all of its complexities and microcosmic details definitely took dominant precedence. :) Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V for my former Playstation 3 and its accompanying escapades were truly an immeasurable spectacle of astonishment and a feat for realism, chiefly in the way of its emulation and deliverance of the missions in a compelling and riveting movie format. :) I absolutely loved it.

When I had heard the first utterance of Michael ripple from his mouth in a most bellowing, apprehensive, shrilling and vehement tone via a leak, which I simply could not dismiss, it was so chilling. That very footage, wherein Michael's hurls an: (...) "are you *ucking kidding me?!" at the irate Russian woman, to which she eventually follows up with: "You; you're a dead man!", that was like an epic foreshadow that struck me deep within, exemplifying just how immersive, forthcoming and 'right-up-in-your-face' Grand Theft Auto: V's mission load was poised to be; and was it ever and more. :)

It is in turn for one of the pivotal reasons of Grand Theft Auto: V's professional caliber, gritty voice acting roster, that I simply could not bring myself to surge through story at Mach 5 speed. There was, and in the case of New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V will be, a reservoir of teeming nuances that will subject the player to diversion from the main objectives, the storyline. Respective to Last-Gen, it could not have been more enriched with beautiful detail, and with Michael serving as my compass, having amassed miles upon miles of surveying the vast landscape in and of himself. This accounts for one of the reasons as to why my story progress was prolonged and my percent status remained idle for one or two days. I wanted to lock myself into that climatic moment and be enthralled by all of the dialogue and watch as the actions and accounts of the missions progressively molded the characters. :)

Day one of New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V's jaunts will be fully encapsulated by First-Person driving and no other action outside of seeking out the aforementioned nuances about the map. :D

People that play these games from start to finish the day they receive them.

That's like a mental illness. You're never going to feel you're getting your money's worth if you finish it in a day.

Or get a girlfriend, or escape the basement, but I'm guessing those are secondary life motivations.

Get girl, find basement is what I always learned.

4 or 5 days, I believe.

Started playing September 17th and got the achievement for beating it on the 21st or 22nd. Can't remember.

Story about 20 hours and 100% around 24 - 25 hours.

It only took you 20 hours to beat the story, and then took 4 hours to do everything and collect all the stuff for 100% completion? Lol gtf outta here with that sh*t.

There is no way in hell that you beat this game AND attained 100% completion in only 24-25 hours of play. Why post a blatant lie?

3-4 days after launch, I played for some hours everyday.

Second time it took about 14 hours, only doing the story missions.

PoeticWhisper

I don't understand why people would finish the story so fast. What's fun about that?!

I don't try to no life games. I just get very sucked into them and can't stop playing. Before I know it it's over. It never bothers me, cause I can just play it again and do it slower.

No matter how you look at it. Say it took me 25 hours to complete the story. I could do that 25 hours in about a day and a half, but if it took me 2 weeks I'd still only take me 25 hours of game time. I just choose to do it all in 1-2 goes. I don't have to worry about getting off and wanting more most of the time.

A little over 60 hours... And there were a lot of side things I didn't bother doing.

It took me over six months to finish the single player story line. I always go very slow on GTA, taking in all the sites, going on tons of killing sprees, doing as many side missions on my own. Basicly doing as much stuff as possible without the help of a guide.

Now it only took me a little over two weeks to get 100%, using guides I found on here and on other websites.

About 12-13 hours, due to its short storyline.

It's possible, considering its short story. Heck, I've managed to finish IV in 18.5 hours.

You did not beat GTA V in 12 hours. Sorry but that's just a heaping crock of sh*t. Unless you are a speedrunner, that is impossible and you are simply lying.

I'm fairly certain the current speedrun record for GTA V any% is just shy of 8 hours.

Wait, I don't see how that's bullsh*t. If possible, use taxis instead, even if that means you're not gonna get the gold medal.

EDIT: Just realized that 12 hours is the time to beat the storyline combined. 5 days for me, from February 28th to March 4th.

Even using taxis dude, there's still just no way.

You simply can't beat the game in 12 hours unless you're speedrunning. You can't.

I've watched a good amount of speedruns for this game. I know what Im talking about and I'm telling you right now you cannot beat this game in 12 hours. Nor can you do it on your first play through, lol. That's a joke.

I beat the PS4 version of GTA V in roughly the same time it took me to beat the PS3 version; about two weeks.

It was 30 hours for the storyline and in total (100%) it took around 50 hours. Was pretty nice, not too short but story could have been longer.

Lelouch The Zero

I don't remember. But I still can't be bothered to get 100% on last-gen now that the new-gen version is out. I rarely 100% any game, in fact, I don't think I've ever 100% any game, if I did I don't remember which ones. Just too much sh*t to do, I'm lucky I get the main story completed.

Speaking in "weeks" has no sense, maybe you should better speak as "play time".
I have 80h of /play on ps4 and the Beverly "Partnership" bug. Quite pissed off :v

It's an even with Beverly, it may bug and does not appear at all. There are also issues like this with Tonya and Dom, so feel free to get informations on Google (or the GTA Forums) if you are heading to the 100%.
