No missions to do...

I've done 28 missions so far, and there are no new ones showing up on the map.

 

I've tried all 3 characters.

 

The last mission it says i've done is "The Multi-Target Assassination"

 

I've also done "Mini Sub"

 

but i've not done any flying missions yet, even after going to flight school...(I've not finished flight school for all characters, do i need to?)

 

just wondering what i need to do to trigger more missions and character contacts..

I couldn't say what is required for whatever mission(s) come next for you, but some require a phonecall to make a mission available, which takes some waiting.

 

More useful though, when on the character selection wheel there's a small black circle with a number in it, which shows how many mission that character has available. Try switching to a character that doesn't have 0 for that number and completing whatever missions are available for them - including strangers and freaks, I believe.

I've never noticed that number you mention within the wheel. I'll look tonight...

 

What if they either all have "0"?

or if they all have a number within the black circle?

Hm, if they all had zero then the only advice I would give would be to wait for a day or so in-game, since some missions don't appear immediately afterwards. You can sleep the time away, I believe. Apart from that, if there are absolutely no missions available of any kind, you might have to revert to a previous save if someone else isn't able to offer better advice.

 

If they all have numbers, do all the missions you can find on the map. If there aren't any, I guess the same goes for if there aren't any numbers - the gamesave might have messed up, meaning you'd need to revert to a previous save unless another solution is available.

 

Still, it's likely you just need to wait or just switch.

I've been searching for other missions but haven't seen any. the last one I did, was make a call to Tonya and did a tow truck pick up—that counts a "mission" right? but i had to call her to get it, nothing was on the map.

The minisub mission-- are you talking about the Merryweather heist setup mission?

 

Look at your social club page under checklist and mouse over the icons in the first secton to read the mission names.

 

Post them here.

 

You can also go on the social club and into your settings and make your stats public so everyone can see-- I did find your profile but it says "this member is not sharing game stats"

As an update, i tried to play last night, and with Trevor, one side mission showed up—kidnapping the actor and choosing to let him go for 10K—which i did. after that, nothing for either of the 3 characters...

 

Any thoughts?

Sorry for late response-- have been busy for a few days...

 

It looks like your save is stuck-- if you are sure you don't have an icon available you can either reload and earlier save and be sure to save over this "bugged" save-- or you can attempt to "unstick" this save--- there are many methods of doing this but none is fool proof.

 

To unstick try the following--

 

Save in a new slot using quick save. Exit the game entirely. Start the game so the new save loads automatically-- check if mission available.

 

Otherways...

 

Kill yourself (any way).

 

Take a cab a long distance and skip the ride.

 

Do a friend activity (ie as michael call trevor or franklin to hangout and golf or play tennis or something).

 

Do flight school

 

Go on GTAO-- switch to your character using the character wheel (play online for 5 minutes) and exit the same way... (not from your pause menu).

 

Get busted.

 

Any of the above may unstick your game as could just passing time in game... example for doing this... enter stealth mode and then tape your stick so character 'sneaks' around in circles-- this will also max your stealth skill after a while....let the game go for a while and go do something else-- check back on it later-- might want to save the game after the time as passed also rather than just exit-- as time passed in game might trigger something.

 

Really no sure way to fix this... if anything does work-- please post back what you may have done to unstick the game-- this has happened to many others...

 

Please be sure to save in a new slot often... I like to rotate saves among 3 slots and then create a new save every 5 or 10% of game progress....

so i do have several other "saves" that i can load—i think about 8 or 9. not sure if any of these older ones are corrupt or would trigger the next mission or not. any way to tell which save might still be in tact?
