Will Next-Gen/PC have interiors?

Hi guys,

Probably the biggest disappointment I had with GTA V on 360/PS3 was the complete and utter lack of interiors. There was absolutely no incentive to explore when you know every building you see, every shack in the desert, is simply a hollow shell with nothing to offer. I remember in GTA IV, my friends and I used to visit the massive multi-story apartments, and jump off the roof to land on cars we had parked as targets. You could go into the lawyer's office and have shootouts, taking out the security guards and any police that dared enter. It was so much fun. Remember the hospital? Going inside and beating up patients lying on hospital beds?

Now imagine if you wanted to travel to the desert and explore. So you're walking down a dirt path, when you notice an abandoned shack in the distance. You reach the door, and inside there's an AK47 beneath the roach-ridden mattress. It really spoils the fun of exploration. Rockstar had the potential to make the world exciting to explore, with reason to ever visit the north of the map; but instead we get small towns that look nice, but with no interiors whatsoever. Imagine if there was a police station similar to GTA San Andreas', and inside you could get into fights with the police.

I hope to god the Next-Gen/PC versions have interiors. It would add a whole new level to exploration.

Do we honestly have a hope in hell to see any new interiors? Rockstar didn't mention it as one of the things to look forward to, so I am highly doubtful. What do you guys think?

There is a Police Station with an interior on Pillbox Hill. Those apartment buildings looked like the same big boring staircases to me and the lawyer was nothing special. Did you even explore the map btw? I have found about 9 diffrent interiors driving around and from what i remember people in the file thread said this game has a good 80+ interiors. Please explore more than just around Downtown Los Santos.

I highly doubt it, I just don't think that adding interiors is that important to Rockstar.

@Cakelover21: The apartment building was nonetheless, still an interior. You could jump down the staircases and watch your character smack into the railings which was funny, get onto the roof, free-run, all sorts. Other apartments did have rooms you could enter. The lawyer firm being 'nothing special' is solely your opinion, in which others (like myself) have spent a good amount of time in there. I've explored the map and have found very few interiors. Fast-food restaurants are no longer enterable, and mission-specific interiors are closed, unlike most of GTA IV's mission-interiors that did stay open. Shops no longer allow you to equip firearms unless you spook the shopkeeper from outside beforehand, in which the police are called from that moment on anyway.

This is the thing I really have high hopes for next gen.
Having more interiors like Burger Shot, Cluckin Bell, Binco, Tequila-lala, Bahama Mamas, Police and Hospital centers, the Airport, Ben Machine Coffee, restaurants and night clubs on Vinewood blvd and ALL THE INTERIORS OF THE BUSINESS PROPERTIES  !!!

But the best would be to have appartements and houses interiors like in GTA San Andreas where we could do burglaries.

Undoubtedly. If there weren't, Rockstar would probably lose lots and lots of customers and loyal fans including me. That's also something that made GTA V less like its predecessors; there were very few interiors, no fast food restaurants, no Cluckin Bell, no Burger Shot, no Bean Machine, nothing. It made the city feel much more lifeless.

I doubt that there is going to be new interriors, but in the PC version it will be possible to unlock the old interriors - and there are many.

You seem very sure about that. Yet, you have absolutely no proof or indication that that's the case.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

And what's the point of unlocking interiors where there is nothing to do, no people no nothing? You're probably just going to take a peek inside and then leave and never ever come back again.

People don't understand a very important aspect of this game and it's interios and that is the fact that ROCKSTAR, won't ever struggle with interiors that are pointless and do nothing. So far we have 24/7 stores, clothing stores, a strip club, a bar or two I think and a few others ones but all these play an actual ROLE in the game, they're not there for the sake of being there. If they add up new interiors, they'll do it because they need them in a story DLC or something, but things like Clukin Bell and Burger Shot are NEVER going to come in at this point, I just don't see them coming.

So short answer, no, I don't think next gen or PC will bring any new interiors, probably not even unlock the ones closed after mission because Rockstar considers them to be pointless and they kind of are without people and thing to interact with. It was the same with GTA IV, 99% of the interios had a role, a place.

The proof for that is looking back to what modding community has done with III, VC, SA, IV and Episodes. Just imagine it and someone will mod it so we can be pretty sure someone will have those unlocked in no time for use after the mission there is complete.

If anything they'll just unlock the ones that are already there. I don't see them adding any new ones.

Gimme those motherf*cking interiors!!!!!111

I still can't believe the series hasn't featured escalators since Vice City. Such fun.

Oh and what about those glass elevators on the outside of the FIB building. Hell some elevators would be great full stop.

I hope we can now go on foot or via bike to the top of the skyscrapers like San Andreas!!

Get a bulldozer>Load the bikes into the scoop>Stay in the bulldozer as your friend picks up your bulldozer with a cargobob. Take it to any building/place desired>Unload the bike/s and get on.

Profit

If you look at the new trailer at 22 seconds you can someone interacting with the hot dog stand man. I know a lot of things were left out because of space. Next gen I'm pretty sure will have a lot more to offer :-)

I don't see any reason why PS4/Xbox One/PC can't have interiors. I feel that in a way Rockstar implementing interiors would make amends with many players in my opinion. Thoughts?

Cheers.

It'd definitely offer incentive for me to buy the PC version. That's what I love about Skyrim, a vast land to explore, with tons of interiors. I know they're totally different games, but I'd love to see GTA IV's level of interiors.

There's always ???? before profit ;)

OT: I don't think so, but in PC you can unlock the normally locked interiors, with mods of course.

New interiors would be great, no matter what any buffoon in this thread thinks. But trust me, don't get your hopes up. I'd love some new SP safehouses but Rockstar more than likely won't be adding any new interiors. At all. Period.

I would think tequi-la-la would be at least.

This and Bahamas Mamas. Both would be fun to visit in GTA O and Story Mode.

They should definitely unlock all interiors, that are locked in the LG version.

NEW INTERIORS = UNLOCKED OLD ONES.

Even after how R* has behaved, I have some hopes.....maybe it'll be a part of 'new content' they keep talking about.

I'd want to say that new interiors doesn't mean the pretty much obvious locked interiors, but beyond the present ones' - something extra!

I'm really on the fence when it comes to old gen, whether they'd be getting many unlocked interiors, let alone anything extra, but they better be unlocked and available from day 1 on release of the NG/PC version of the game - all those interiors that are pretty common and staple of the series.

I wouldn't build any hopes up beyond having them, but it'd be nice if they do add more extra interiors!

I'm very doubtful that Rockstar will add new and more interiors to the new-gen/PC versions of GTA V. They have mentioned it in recent announcements of the new-gen/PC versions yet, and that is not very encouraging to say the least. I hope they do, as that was one of my biggest disappointments about this game. Knowing Rockstar's ways recently, they probably will not bother.

To be honest I really don't think it's something they would announce unless it's a sigificant game changer such as residential properties for example.

Any new interiors will probably be left up to the players to discover themselves.

Do you think that interiors just might be an undocumented feature in the new versions? Perhaps Rockstar might be keeping that up their sleeves?

Cheers.

I want to be able to do a shootout at Cluckin Bell again.

To those who don't understand, opening up interiors makes the world of GTA feel more believable and "real" so to speak.
