Aw man, looks like I missed a belter! Love reading the feedback, you guys remind me why I miss 360 meets so much; you just don't get the same level of feedback and enthusiasm over on the One.

 

Steve, as ever your cover of the event made me laugh out loud. I hope the lobby for W&W next week is half as awesome as this one!

Yet again another fun meet. Thanks alot for your time you put in steve it is always so good fun hanging and chatting with you all.

 

It went fairly well, the dust up on the bridge was just a bit of fun with me and Cactus having a fist fight and everyone joining in, was all fun and games but magnum pulled a gun and started shooting and that frustrated a few people when it was a fist fight to start with. A bit later i was pushing magnum around in the panto and everyone joined in but he retaliated with sticky bombs which i was totally fine with (i know magnum well and that's we do kill each other alot) but i can understand why people got frustrated at all the killings and i wont provoke him next time :-) Think maybe no guns next time magnum if your reading this.

 

The hill climbs you had found steve were brilliant, tough and challenging especially for me in the mesa which im still getting use to after sticking to a sandking most previous meets. The views were brilliant the trucks we all different and nicely modified. Anyway i didnt get many photos at the start as i was trying to clear the camara but here is what i did get..

 

Started up this climb behind hookers bar was a great climb to start with and what a view at the top

Got back down and took some photos while waiting for the others

Hmm that was bad timing lol

Very tricky part here, i didnt make it round and not many did

Waiting patiently for our turn. I didnt make it round this with the group but waited till everyone had their goes then i made it :-)

The route was very technical but challenging and fun

Up another steep trail and we found more beautiful views

Sand kings started appearing and a Pink Insurgent that was well beyond repair

These next to look like they are on the flat but as you can tell by the damage it was bloody steep

Matt green was the obvious choice for the meet been out door theme

We all made it up this one

Got to the top and it was off to change to short shorts, for a manly race.

I didnt get any photos of the demo derby as that all got a bit hectic so it was on to the podium which i must add was very well set up

Damn, it's so cool to finally see so much feedback from a meet! My dream is coming true! Also (and as always): great pics! Easily one of my favorite part of a meet is to see what went down.

I'm still wondering why no one has mentioned who it was that was killing other players as I'd like to watch out for them. If no name-calling is made just send me a PM of who it was if you know.

MT and Chewie thanks for your updated feedback and pictures. Chewie thanks for the feedback on the "extreme demo derby", i agree is a good idea to add a bit extra but with hind site i should not of encouraged it last night. For future events i shall set the rules firmly in advance and if additions such as flare's are to be added, i will announce this before the game starts.

So its my bad on that front.

 

In response to the shooting/ killing. The person responsibly for this is MagnumF4. Usually i take a firm line on killing other players on the rare occasion it occurs. Things are usually clear cut, eg the lobby is blown up, or a player is sniped or shot. This one is so far not as clear cut. On this occasion the incident occurred while i was starting up the mini game after the meet had finished. I did not see what happened and only became aware of an issue after a message. It appears a friendly fight broke out while players were awaiting the invite and this led to magnum jumping in a shooting players.

its a shame because despite having to be told about a few flares I was pleased to have magnum along.

 

As it stands i want to hear from magnum. A pm has been sent. And it will be sorted

Thank you, Steve. I really appreciate that you're standing up for what meets should be. I also would like to hear from others that joined the meet, if possible. From what I gathered there was a friendly fist fight between minigames (which can happen and isn't an issue) and Magnum saw this as an excuse to use a gun...? Also, I "liked" MT's post as I love the pics but didn't notice he actually discussed the Magnum issue (well, one of them). I understand we're all friends and know each other and that the fist fight made the lobby look "casual" but a meet isn't over until the host says so. I just find it disrespectful to treat other players in such manners. If players are fist fighting (only between invites, etc.), you can either watch the fight or jump in (this is coming from a host!). I just don't understand why killing players was deem necessary or fun.

Steve, please let us know how the conversation goes. If Magnum is reading this I would like to know your part of the story. It's no big deal, no worries, but I'm just curious. Being killed in a meet can piss off some people and can set a very bad tone for the whole thing. People join meets to escape the chaos of freeroam. There was a lot of meets months ago that required players to be in Passive Mode and anyone who left Passive Mode was watched closely (I never done this personally as I trust everyone to cooperate - setting up rules as such isn't necessary). If I'm joining a meet I'm not expecting to be killed by another player. Yes, I can spawn back but it's a factor of trust.

Anyway, don't let my investigation ruin such a good meet. I enjoyed all feedback and pictures. Really glad to see this becoming a regular thing!

Can I just say the Police treat Flare guns just the same as every other gun. So the people shooting flare guns in the Quarry brought all the police into the Derby and as most people know when the police come in the quarry full of people in stolen vehicles off the street they never leave. Just uploading the video of the Derby and the Bridge event as we speak

I'll be uploading the video from the Ratan Canyon meet tomorrow night when i get back home.

 

A reminder to those who don't know; there's a Sanchez meet this Saturday.

It's a bit different to normal, instead of off roading, the Sanchez is burning up the tarmac with a selection of races.

There'll also be a couple of guest bike races.

 

If you don't have a Sanchez in your garage that's cool as these are 'creator' races using 'stock' Sanchez bikes.

 

 

If you're interested, look for The Sanchez Experience in 'Events'. Hope to see you there.

Freddy thanks for the video. In light of the incident I will be warning magnum on future conduct during meets, should he wish to join.

 

Will be clamping down on the use of flares at meets. I the hope of stoping the disease becoming an epidemic ( every meet I have attended recently has had a flare based incident ). will be looking to create a flare based mini game providing an outlet for the pyromaniac people who have contracted f*ckingflareiitis the chance to get it out of their system.

 

Cactus can't wait for the video and looking forward to Saturdays racing, my sanchez is ready ! ...... But sadly I'm not, and Prob never will be. Never mind it will be nice to take some shots and videos from the rear...... (" insert your own pun here")

 

Guys would like you all to take a bow ! the amount of effort and time you all put into posting feedback, pics and videos was exceptional. It the best compliment a host can recieve. And I'm sure u had as much fun looking back at the pics and the comments as I did.

 

Not sure if there are any meets tommrow ? would like to join a lobby and take some Pantos out off-roading ? Or have a go at some mountain biking ? We could also run some trails and mini games ?

Wow, so many people yet the lobby is so silent. Where's the banter and chatting? Great camera work by Freddy on that one! Steve, really disappointed that you didn't slap Magnum on the wrists at the meet. I think it was Fred who was pointing out the flares blowing cars up and then the fist fighting was only fists (his voice was clearer than others so I think it was him due to recording). Come on, Steve! You gotta lay them down or else others just jump in and that's how you lose control of a meet. So many great players in that meet yet I didn't feel that the lobby was "alive", you know?

 

I'd definitely be up for some mountain biking or using Panto's to climb Chiliad! I've got a pretty hectic schedule at the moment so I'm only certain of joining events around 6PM EST and after. Anything before that can be a "maybe".

The build up to the demo derby was a poorly timed and over complicated event, which happend 4hrs into the meet. If people came over as lifeless in the last 20mins or so. its my fault For the the vast majority of the previous 4 hours. The lobby had been lively, enthusiastic and and relaxed.

 

Should have warned magnum at the time. Future mistakes will not be made.

 

I should be online from about 11pm tonignt, 6pm est, 5pm cdt for some panto fun and other stuff
