Well its over the 1^st competition for the Around Los Santos Challenge. The Build up to this was long and when thats the case we usually have a few people drop out, and the connection/ hacking issues all played a part, but with it been the 1^st event this was not a problem, and in some ways it worked out better as 16 people in the lobby would have increased the time significantly.

So 10 people entered the fray to compete in the 1^st Around Los Santos King of the Hill challenge

Each person competing had submitted a small but difficult challenge and selected 2 vehicles to take on the challenges. There were some seasoned veterans of the meets and some newcomers, both performed amazingly, even when I was not involved there was some great bits of tension, and genuine nerves from some.
The overall winner was decided by points.

Each competitor had 2 attempts at each challenge.

• 3pts if you complete a challenge on the 1^st attempt
• 2pts if you complete it on the 2^nd attempt.
• nil pois (0) points if you fail.

Two spice things up (and stop impossible sections been chosen) the competitors had to completed their own sections, and had 2 attempts to do so.

• 0 pts if completed on 1^st attempt
• -5pts if completed on 2^nd attempt
• -8pts if they failed their own section.

There were also some great races and voting for bonus points !
Amazingly no competitor failed their own challenge, no one got -8 points ! Although there were a few -5s

We started with the voting for some early points. It was a shame we struggled to get both vehicles there.

• Most authentic off-road vehicle (3pts) : went to jamiem52 and his rusty rebel

• Best paint job (3pts): went again to jamiem52 but this time with his sandking

 

• Vehicle you would most like to own (6pts) : went to freddy and his dubster

• Best in show (6pts): went to cynister and his Huntley

 

Was the voting to shape the rest of the meet ???? ---edit--(apparently yes because i messed up) these 3 guys also took the top 3 overall positions.

After the voting we headed out the short distance to the 1^st section chosen by yello cactus a tough climb, having the great honour of been the 1^st to step up! Unfortunately this also meant he was the first to fall down, completed on the 2^nd attempt so only losing 5 points for cactus. One by one the competitors went before we headed down to the water for Quboys crossing, good points there !

We held a beach mini race: 3 pts for the winner cactus in the bifta, 2 for freddy and 1 pt for fuzzy seacow a newcomer to the meets, who scored some good points before having to leave early.

We had some more climbs and crossings before freddys difficult climb by the humane labs, before heading to the quarry to start the selfie race to the dam via the 1^st checkpoint at the powerstation.
Before the start of the selfie race 5 events had pased things were very close between, bunkerbeast,freddy, cynister and jamiem52. With only 4 pts separating the top 4 !
The selfie race results. 8pts for the winner bunkerbeast, 3pts 2^nd place cactus and 1pt for 3^rd place cactus.

This gave bunkerbeast a slight lead but with his and cynisters event still to run.
At the dam we had 2 sections both were tough, failing George lost 5 pts on his own event, but only a few others scored. We headed to bunkerbeast challenge. This challenge won drew him the comp ! no points were scored by any other competitor and he completed it 1^st time, great strategy hats off to you sir.
Now tied in the lead but with cynister and with freddy and jamiem52 still close behind. Its was bunkers to win just needing to score 7 pts on the next two events to confirm victory ,, 3pts on vapizt tough rock climb and 3 pts on jamiem52 vinewood hills climb, cynister pushed him all the way scoring max points on both of these and kept the pressure on. It was tie heading into the last event !

due to my points cock up im Gutted we missed an even more exciting finish ... it was neck and neck going into the last event. With Cynister needing to complete his own challenge 1st time and bunker beast needing to score at least one point to take the win.

We all no what happend. Cynister completed his challenge 1st time and bumker failed to score !!! The result was a draw !! Amazing really when u add in all the factor. Apologies to Cynister for this and i apologize to bunker beast in my defense spread sheets and gta don't usually go hand in hand.

We will hold a sudden death challenge. To decide the winner, as there can be only ONE ! Lol

I will choose the climbs. Ha ha ! At a time that is appropriate for both, it could be a long night ... As they are both v v good !

your prizes: bragging rights until the next king of the hill. Personal photo shoot (with hopefully some busty lovelies). Priority entry to future events. Video on YouTube of your path to glory. Plus a custom off road trail named after you, via the creator which will include yours and everyone elses sections that were completed in the event !

1^st place: bunkerbeast: 30pts
1^st place: cynister: 30pts
3^rd place: jamiem52 : 25pts
4^th place: freddy1kruger: 19pts

Great scores guys, and good showings. Sandkings were the vehicle of choice but the Huntley of cynisters scored him good points as well the dubsters also performed well and the biftas & buggys gained points in the speed races.
Some stats & facts

Meet time: 4+hrs
the most used vechile : sandking (as always)
toughest event: bunkerbeasts no poins scored.
Points on off road sections: max points avalible 27, bunkerbeast scored 22, cynister 21, freddy&Jaime 19.
No negative scores : although George came close (was nervous for him on the last few events when he pulled it into the positive J nice one mate ! )
Race points: yello cactus was the only competitor to score points in both races !
Most truefull competitor: chewie (bigd775) after leaving lobby (internet connection) attempted Quboys section on his own twice and failed. Awarded himself O points on his return, instead of having another 2 goes and keeping quiet.

The event went really smooth and I know it ended late for some people but in the end I think everyone had a great time.
My only complaint I I think some how Steve needs to compete also, I am sure he had as fun doing what he did but it would have been fun seeing him fail my event like everyone else (Too soon to rub that in LOL)

Was your section the one at the damn? If so I ended up beating it on my 3rd attempt and might have on the first attempt if I didn't think going to the right was going to be to easy and the wrong way lol. Oh well all hail the king(still think cynister won it). However I must say top 5 for me although there was a 10 point difference between me and 4th place but still top 5 baby. I had an awesome time tonight. Only a couple of challenges I could not complete and I am fine with that I still consider myself the off-road padawan. Steve this was an amazing time. So glad you threw this for us. I have to agree though you should have been in it. We all know you are the true king and crown holder(although cynister would give you a huge run for your money plus this new guy bunkerbeast). Anyways to the event itself. It started off kinda in one of those hey are we going to be able to do this what with those ddosing wankers about. It kinda made everyone on edge. So we set off to some house in the hills where we had to try and get both of our vehicles there to be judge. Some of us had great luck and got both there with out a hitch while others were not as luck at the start. In the end we got to vote. I was feeling really proud of myself after voting ended. I did not win any of the categories but both of my trucks received votes in every category. That really made me happy to see that people liked what I had brought to the table. Even came close to a tie in the last event if only I could combine both of my trucks votes. Then we set off to our first adventure. This is where I freaked out. I saw what the event entailed and swore to myself that there was no way I was going to score anything in this event. So I sat there and watched a couple of people attempt the challenge and that is when I got dropped from the lobby. At this point I started swearing (even made the dogs hide). I was not thrilled. I had thought there goes tonights event all because xbox live is getting taken down again. So while giving it a minute to wait for my live to cut out I attempted the climb with out anyone looking. I did the 2 attempts and failed miserable. I checked my friends list and instantly got 3 invites to the lobby I had just been dropped from. So I figure the issue is on my end. I cleared my system cache and power cycled everything. I turn my xbox back on and reconnect to my newly renewed internet connection and join back in. It was then my turn to do the challenge in which I already tried on my own. I told steve to just mark me at 0 because I had taken the 2 attempts on my own and knew it would just be a waste of time and even more so humiliating. From there we go on to a couple more events and I end up being able to do them and pass. Then came my section. This was when I became fearful. All the pressure was on me to complete my section I had been practicing for. To far to the right I sunk my truck. To far to the left and it is to easy for the others to do. I have to do it just right to sucker them all into going to far right so I win. I do my challenge and I hear from someone"that it?" I then put my head to shame. I thought this was going to be a tough on and end up being easy. So I hear someone ask steve if they could go across the whole section for bonus points. Steve says it is up to chewy. So not thinking I say ok but if you fail you lose points. After one or two people go with out issue then someone goes in and does what I knew would be the kill point. They went to far right. Well being the good natured person that I am I end up giving everyone the pointer of going to the left to be safe. I felt so bad that this person met my evil plan. I sadly think I made a person lose points in my section and that is something I really did not want to have happen. So to whom I did that to I am sorry. Anyways. The rest of the event went well. I had a blast and continue to learn new things with this off-roading group every time we met. I get to learn more about myself and my vehicles. However I truly wish we could have more vehicle modifications to make our off-roading vehicles better at just that, off-roading. Also big shout out to cynister for kind of taking me under his wing tonight and showing me how to do my section in full. Also I could not stop laughing at the end shenanigans we had. Glad you were a good sport about it and knew it was all playful, not hurtful.

Well surprise surprise I came last but Ive got 2 ways of looking at this very positively. 1 I had an enormous amount of enjoyment taking part in this epic event,it was well organised and due to everybody there behaving in a cool respectfull manner went amazingly smoothly.2 I brought up the rear well by not scoring any minus points.Congrats to bunkerbeast and every body who won something.Oh ehh yeah I have a small confession I must have accidently in my panic armed my man with grenades on one run and even worse accidently blew someone up I think this was bunkerbeast whoever it was a big sorry and thanks to everyone for staying cool!! BTW bigd7775 it was me who fell to your evil plan and then had the honour of wrecking freddies car on the bonus point run talk about living up to my name!Got a few pics though
