Around Los Santos Off-Road Meets [Xbox 360]

Guys I'm thinking of moving the start time for this forward to allow, some of the people who have show great initial interest and support for this challenge a chance to join in ??

 

What is everyone thoughts?

How forward are we talking about? If you move it by two hours earlier you'll most likely miss out the PST and CST players if they have school or work. Outkast (IST) might not be able to make it, too (my partner). I would still be able to make it if it's later than 2PM EST and depending how many people that would be jumping in and jumping out due the the change - I don't think moving the time is a great idea. You should move it just by a few hours, no more. Or move it to Friday seeing more people are open for a late meet on the weekend.

it all depends on what you move it to. if you move it to a later time, i can still do it...but if you move it to an earlier time on Thursday, I might not be available.

Was thinking of moving the time an hour earlier .... But I'm gauging feedback first .... Don't want anyone who has already out things in motion to miss out

 

And I don't want people to have to leave half way through

 

Time wise the meet should last at most 2hrs

“Around Los Santos challenge” Off road “team “challenge

 

Thursday 16th October

11pm GMT// 5pm CST// 6pm EST//3pm PST// 3.30 IST// 11am UTC

 

8 teams will make up this challenge. You will need to find a partner before the event.

 

 

Here are your steps to off-road happiness try and do the steps together in your own time before the meet !!! (It will be more fun)

1. Pick a partner (make sure you are both available for the date and time)
2. Each team picks an off-road vehicle from each of the team members garage (try to keep the vehicles different models) eg I don’t want teams containing 2 mesa’s or 2 sandkings etc
3. Decide on a team name and theme.
4. Head off to los Santos customs and get your team vehicles re-sprayed and moded to match or represent your theme
5. Head to the barbers and get your hair chopped or his and hers moustaches
6. Head to the clothes store and pick your team uniform or theme outfits
7. Keep your theme quiet until the start of the event

CRABCRUST: hi mate sorry i have left the time at 11pm gmt for this, the main reason is i because of the theme and not knowing what people are planning to do, i cant accurately predict a time it would finish, and if it starts running over time and getting to (GMT) late, people may have to drop out before the end.

 

i would have preferred to move it to Friday or Saturday but my real-life has interfered with this

 

so therefore i do hope to run a uk (gmt) meet in the days following which will have a theme.

 

TICK: font should be changed i quite agree it looks pants (and as if by magic if you look again it will be)

 

I will also update the list now, as we have quite a few teams confirmed, and i don't want people put of by thinking we are full yet and not asking. It will also highlight people looking for partners.

 

i would also like to address the reason i have not responded to requests from people to be there team mate. its nothing personal,firstly I would like to get the list full and match people up as i can host the meet without a partner if needs be, i would rather see others partnered up and enjoying the events than have to have some one drop out with no team mate. secondly if there are any unforeseen problems on the challenge night, and someone is left without a team mate i can jump in as a substitute allowing them to enjoy the team events all be it having to put up with me as a partner.

 

and one last point i am sorry for all this inconsistency in the build up to this meet (times, font, etc) but as this is the 1st team event I've run there is certain elements of trial and error going on.

I wouldn't mind doing this. I do not have a partner so anyone that was looking for a partner I am fine with teaming up. I have a mic and gt is chewbacca7775. I do have a question though about the event. Can a pegasus vehicle be used in the off road part and or can it be used as part of the entrance. for example about the entrance you have the liberator in the middle and each persons pv on each side.

In regards to Pegasus ,they are allowed for the intro only not the event. For the event the team must stick with there two chosen off road trucks or SUV (one selected by each player from there garage)

 

Will update this post with the start position to help with intro planning.

As well as the theme I would also like to point out there is some stunning and difficult off-roading included and some new terrain that we have not explored on previous meets covered.

DeWhello (new to the around LS meets, but by all accounts is an awesome player with strong )

Hesselgren (little is known, put from his posts on gtav forums looks like becoming a future regular)

Chewbacca7775 (sounds like he has an awesome intro planned)
