wiizardii
Does anyone else think that Donald Love was soooo much better in GTA III than his other appearances in the other games? For one, he was more calm and cool in III, he didn't push Claude like an asshole, and he was proabably the most 'generous' contact in the game (with Salvatore being number 2 IMO). But for some reason, I always thought that his personality and that the character was ruined in the other games. For instance his small appearance in VC wasn't that good because he barely talked (if I remember correctly) and it was worst in LCS in wich he acted like a drug addict all the time. Do you think the studios messed up Donald Love's personality and back story in the prequels to III?
simonp92
Nope. It shows how much he'd evolved over the three years, and just how strong he is in GTA III. Granted three years was too short for him to have changed that much, but I thought it worked well enough. R* wanted to give us more of Donald Love, and couldn't just do a repeat of GTA III's Love, that would have been quite boring. (Eventhough LCS felt like a retread of GTA III for a majority of the game IMO). In VC he is a nobody, 15 years before GTA III. What did you expect? It was great how they showed that Avery taught Love so much, only for Love to have him killed, and eat him 13 years later. T here's a line in GTA VC, which Avery says, that almost completely the same as one Love says in III. I believe it's about getting two gangs to battle each other. Love stole the idea from Avery in 2001.
Femme Fatale
I prefer Love's flamboyant personality from LCS. NightmanCometh96 and matajuegos01

universetwisters
I get the fact that in Vice City, he was just some goofy klutz being taught by Avery Carrington and come the events of III, he was the CEO of one of the biggest media companies in America. However, in LCS, it felt like he was just railroaded into the plot to serve as another guy to run errands for. That and making him a cannibal ruined it for me. Could he have cleaned up his act by the events of III? Sure. But it's hard for me to take his appearance in III seriously after seeing him in LCS. donnits, Payne Killer and matajuegos01
Johan
No.. it's a prequel for a reason, it shows how much he progressed and changed throughout those 10+ years or so. If anything, it made me enjoy his character even more when I found out more about him in LCS. It'd be different if LCS took place a few years after GTA III. I also like his calm persona in III, it wasn't overdramatic or annoying, just a calm pace of a personality (wich is my favourite type of personality to be honest). While in LCS he acted like a damn chump.
matajuegos01
I have the theory that Love dissappeared in III because he ate himself. The_Anti-tragedy, NightmanCometh96, Lock n' Stock and 5 others
Lock n' Stock
He was a completely different person in LCS, a cannibal with an awkward and flamboyant personality. How did he manage to turn so laid back and calm in just 3 years, AND expand Love Media so heavily? Nico
Yes, it was ruined in LCS. His small VC appearance wasn't bad since he was Avery's errand boy back then, learning everything from him. In LCS he's a crazy multi millonaire prick who aspires to be LC's mayor. Then he loses everything, cries at Toni for help and a few missions later, guess what? Becomes rich again, just by sending Toni to kill ol' Avery and Ned Burner. That and making him a cannibal ruined it for me. Donald was already a cannibal in III. Ray Machowski sent Claude to destroy evidence photos about him in a morgue party. Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder... ...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?
Lelouch The Zero
Hmm never knew he was a cannibal, of course I never played LCS that much and have only played it on my cousin's PSP which was years and years ago. I only ever did like the first couple missions and that was pretty much it. I really wish they would port the game to PC. Good thing there is a mod of it for GTA San Andreas. I always knew something was strange about that guy, that's probably why he disappeared because he probably ate himself like someone else said lol. Cheesy Vaginas
Love was already known to be a weird necrophiliac that throws morgue parties in GTA III, I don't find it too crazy that he's also a cannibal maybe a little too flamboyant in LCS though

Trillest
I understand that Rockstar wanted to make Donald unique in LCS instead of a III repeat, but I think they took it a little too far and made him into a goofball. With his over the top personality, he could easily fit in The Ballad Of Gay Tony. But at the same time, I kind of like it, because it shows how much he has grown and developed. So it has it's pros and cons, but I think Rockstar should have toned him down a bit. Edited September 19, 2014 by Ray Margarita
Tyla
I didn't like him in LCS. The change of voice actor aggravated this. Felt like he was some kind of frat boy, not any kind of mayoral candidate. Love's VC cameo was perfect. Fantastic continuity with him and his notepad jotting down, "Nothing drives down real estate prices like a good old-fashioned gang war."
