What is the dumbest thing you have done during a mission?

I play a lot of missions, especially recently, and have had some real "smh" moments. So what are yours?

 

 

Diamonds are for Trevor: Decided to start the mission in the city and use my Bati pv. Died twice on the way there due to violent traffic accidents.

 

Crystal Clear Out 1: Was screwing around waiting out the timer for higher pay and started shooting at random sh*t in Sandy Shores. One was a gas tank that just happened to be a little too close to me and It exploded, drugs destroyed, failed mission. (Just did this lol, which is what gave me the idea for this topic)

 

On Maneuvers: Was screwing around and completely forgot what the mission objective was. While I was flying the Annihilator to the Sandy Shores airfield I thought it would be fun to jump out and parachute to the yellow marker. Mission failed smh

 

Also got a quote a reply I made in a topic a week or so ago:

 

Was just playing the mission ATV Steal solo. Well, i was having fun of course, the ATV through the forest and sh*t was fun and a change from other missions. That was before I found out you had to collect all four.

So there I am with the 4th and last ATV driving back to the drop off point and I run off course and f*cking ATV gets stuck between two trees. Dude, this was a good 15-20 minutes in the mission, I even had to chase two ATV's to the other side of the map, so I am pissed lol.

I just sat there a bit on the ATV all salty, I didn't want to cancel out or fail so I figure I try hitting the gas one last time. The ATV explodes and I die.

Mission end screen pops up. Mission passed, reward $19,500 lol. Good times.

 

 

 

 

I would also like to say that I have been here almost a year and this, I believe, is the first topic I have ever created on this forum, so be nice lol

Playing Chop Chop I noticed what looked like a gang attack crate on a box at the airstrip. I shot it thinking it might contain money. It just exploded and killed me. Doh.

Coveted: Delivered the crate to the delivery point, but instead, I dropped it manually using the dpad. Now, if you've ever played Coveted, you'll know that you're supposed to let the game drop it for you when you get close. But I did so manually, didn't deliver it even though it was feet away from the drop-off point, tried picking it up, and (I think, it's been so long since it happened) the helicopter hit the telephone post and mission failed.

I was hosting a mission, and went to go make a sammich.

I thought I had put it on closed mat having but two people ended up joining and playing through the better half of the mission before I got back

I used to kick those to conserve ammo lol. Got blown up a couple times

Blowing the wrong things up and in my eager to proceed sometimed noticing im surounded by NPCs with guns at my left and right being pinned sown behind a small object

Using a bike for missions with many armed enemies

Last thing doesnt happen anymore though...all others...well...they still do now and then

Did it yesterday as a matter of fact in a boneyard survival. Decided in round 6 I'd climb the house next to the broken down bus. It says I'm out of bounds/go back to survival area. I ignore it and start blasting NPC's left and right que the Survival failed screen....smh whoops!

Every time I play CC1 solo, as I head back to sandy shores I always hear an explosion but I never have found out what it was.

 

Anyway, i died trying to retrieve the documents in extraction, I killed the guy in the limo, got out the car and I was run over and killed by a truck. When I spawned back it happened again!

 

Crashed the Titan in Titan of a job trying to do a barrel roll.

Acted like I knew what the mission was like even though it was my first time playing it.

These days, if I haven't played it, I'm taking cover behind something and watching how you do it.

when I finish the first part, got the location for the computer, I go there with my Akuma, then I crash and fall onto the high way at the east of the map, I didn't die, but it takes me long enought to get back to my bike, when I am done, other guys already finish the hack part...

We were in the city, and I thought that I could coast the plane over a building, as I picked up

During the "Titan" job, I accidentally – and I have no idea why – I pressed Y, sending me out of the plane.

Of course, I had no parachute, either, which just made that fall to the ground take forever... upon respawn, I got the "mission failed" message.

Double fail. ugh.

Jumping out of the same building tin the very same mission hinking there would be enough distance to open the parachute on the way down...

first couple times playing "A Titan of a Job" i ended up crashing the plane while landing as i had no perspective of the ground...

First time playing Pickup Sticks and for the life of me I SWEAR I didn't notice it was a timed mission (I could swear there wasn't a countdown timer)....I'm a sniper and I snipe on most missions while everyone else is gung ho...I land the heli on the hill across from industrial plant and start sniping and then all of the sudden MISSION FAILED. Time ran out. Derpidy, derp, derp, derp.

Four Trailers: Got rammed by a panicked NPC while delivering one of the trailers. Hit a telephone pole, flipped the trailer, shot to death by pursuers. Got to spectate while another player managed to nudge the trailer upright and deliver it. Extra embarrassing as I was higher level than all the other players put together, and had just completed the mission solo a few hours earlier.

Accidentally hit the Titan in my Bersa, mid air.. Guy sent me a message saying "wtf?" I replied "lol". I honestly felt bad but what was done, was done. He replied, informing me that it scared the sh*t out of him.

I love using my bagger for missions but too many times have I been killed tryin to deliver document, drugs, etc driving it with the cinematic camera on and crashing into something..

 

And pickup sticks: Didn't realize you can't crash the helicopter, tried parachuting at the end and it said "Vehicle destroyed. Mission failed.", right as I landed in the market
