Yes, this is another "Concept" topic. It's the Top Gear Update!

 

Ahh yes, finally, driving fast, cars with gadgets used to make the average 55 year-old in a midlife crisis feel young again, calling your mistress in an unusual red telephone box on the street, or making trips to the dentist with equally bad teeth no longer belong to the British. Now, some say we are giving you another update with cars, guns, clothes, etc. Well.... we are, and this isn't all we know. It's the Top Gear Update.

 

Vehicles: (Specs posted later) - One thing I hate is that people always want new cars added to GTA, but shun the idea whenever it looks like another car. That's how life is, you're never gonna have a car that doesn't resemble another in some way. And most manufacturers use the same basis for their models, so it will never be completely different.

 

That being said, these vehicles have been inspired by some of those that have appeared on the show and would work amazingly in the game. I also added 3 high-end cars (1 for each show host).

Addition to the map:

 

 

 

Introducing the Top Gear Test Track. Some of you may know this from a segment called "Star in a reasonably priced car". Others may know it from watching a mysterious male(?) in a white suit set lap times in insanely fast cars.

 

 

Players can do whatever they want here since it's an addition to the map. They could use it for car meets, deathmatches, or for purely racing against each other or the clock. The freedom is yours!

 

 

 

Clothing:

 

 

 

**Stig not included**

Cause ya' know, it's British.

 

 

 

Features:

 

 

 

• Drift points for doing power slides throughout corners in free-roam and racing (if enabled) which increases RP.
• New Mini Game - Guess the price of vehicle customization / upholstery and win money and RP. (Inspired by the game played by Jeremy and Richard during the "Perfect Road Trip"
• Impromptu hotlapping on Top Gear Test Track. - While waiting at the starting line for 5 seconds, you may choose to set a timer which will start once your accelerate your vehicle, this recording a lap time. Online leaderboards enabled for this feature.
• More to come...

 

 

I know this won't be implemented but, for f*ck sake, the track is a good idea

it's a nice idea, but a little lame and badly thought out. Where are the amphibious vehicles, the Hilux (indestructible Rebel)

and the cool wall (something for the planning room).

I know there's so much more I could have put in. I probably will add a lot more once I get time and after I add the specs for the vehicles. I figured that since, nobody really takes "concept threads" seriously (I know I don't ), then what's the point of adding a sh*t ton of thought when you can give people an idea of what you think and add more as you go along?

The Laferrari's backside would be implemented better into this model. Also, the Schwartzer doesn't have nearly enough power as it should considering it's almost an exact replica of the C63, so maybe they could add a Schwartzer Sport or something.

Typo really, just better performance altogether. That's basically what a sport version of a vehicle is, though, better all-around performance and better made for the track.

He's one of the main hosts from Top Gear UK. He actually got a pretty nice sense of humor. I'm not huge fan though.

Ok, we need this update. NOW.

 

Even though the only real "Top Gear-ish" vehicle I'm seeing there is the Robin, I think a Peel P50 (And a "P45", for the matter) would be way more fitting than just more sports and super cars (Even though I can obviously see why a TG update would definitley need some fine modern cars).

 

But I mean, seriously, can't Rockstar just gather up with BBC and make a "Top Gear Special"? That would just be... Awesome.
