All the Coil Voltic needs is a traction buff.

I have one character where a Voltic is the only super car in that garage, so I had time to play with it in races.

General Complaint: The Voltic is to slow to be a super car and should be in the sports class.

My Findings: Is the Voltic to slow? Not really. Here's why.

Now don't get me wrong, in a straight line run many super cars will smoke a Voltic. But really how many races are string drags, one in a dozen? The majority of races will have turns and require acceleration, it's because of this fact that the Entity and Zentorno are regarded as better choices then the Adder. Adder has top speed, but not a lot of races will take advantage of that.

Now back to the Voltic, this thing has, simply put, fantastic acceleration and also has a tight turn radius. If you can handle one well enough, it can surprising keep up to Zentorno's and Entity's a lot better then you'd think it could. If your on a track where top speed means nothing, which is the majority of races, the Voltic can actually be very competitive.

The problem it has isn't it's low top speed, but rather it's low traction. Hit a bump or curb and this thing can very easily start sliding. Even on a ramp you have to hit it absolutely PERFECTLY straight and narrow, otherwise you'll spin around mid air and land either sideways or facing entirely the wrong way.

This car has top class acceleration and it very maneuverable even at speed. I'd go as far as to say the acceleration and handling more then balances out the speed cap. But it's the traction that really hurts it in the end. It's tendency to slip out costs it many races that it actually could otherwise very well win.

I say R* should give the Voltic a traction buff, because it really is a super car when you look closely at it. And having a bit more traction to make it stick to the road better would make this very competitive.

To put away any possible confusion.

Acceleration - How fast a car speeds up.

Top Speed - Self explanatory, it's top speed.

Handling - Turning radius, maneuverability, mid air controls, etc.

Traction - How well a car sticks to the road, it's tendency to slide out, etc.

Note I count handling and traction separately. I'm sure most of you are aware anyway, but there is usually somebody that would count it all as one.

Anyway, anyone agree. Would you like a traction buff for the Voltic?

Only thing the Voltic needs is a mass increase and a better collision model.

/Thread.

And yes, I do still own one:

Lets just make all the cars easy to handle just for you kids......

Because pointing out flaws obviously means I can't drive the car.

I have heard of people having success with the Voltic in short races where top speed isn't involved. It's like it's in between Sports and Super classes. That acceleration though.

Traction on a voltic is amazing wut u smoking

Traction is good as long as the car is perfectly balanced on a smooth road. In terms of taking most kind of bumps or hitting a ramp, their is much more leeway for mistakes in other cars then there is in a Voltic.
