What would you rate GTA Online?

I would give it a 6/10, not great but not rubbish so around the middle range.

There has been a few additions to the game such as Capture mode, flight school etc but nothing major or game changing since the release. The majority of new content has been vehicles, weapons, clothing and hairstyles.

The game is still pretty buggy and there are plenty of crashes, connection issues and freezing. But with the way the servers are set up and how people connect to each other that is never truly going to go away.

It feels like a lot less people are playing actual missions or activities and are instead focusing more on free-roam stuff. The number of missions invites I see pop up on the phone is way down and activities such as parachuting or golf for example are pretty much dead.

With the mental state meter the only thing I like about it is it shows me on the map where those people are and where to avoid if I want to get to a specific place in free-roam. Does it encourage people to act like dickheads? I don't know, this game has always had people going after others who were minding their own business.

6. Like above it's not great but it's not the worst game out. It helps pass an hour here and there.

It's ok sometimes but unless they introduce a way out of switching off friendly fire and the police I will continue to spend more playing IV's freemode.

I tend to come back to GTA Online when their is a new DLC but I am soon reminded why I stopped playing it every time. :/

7/10

An ambitious attempt let down by its bloated nature.

So many things could be sacrificed/replaced with the suggestions coming from the commmunity. And the lack of the much-anticipated heists is piss-poor.

Also the same mistakes have been made from GTA4. Air vehicle superiority, no user control over free mode settings and glitches being exploited by a minority have tarnished the game.

Any game I would rate below 6... there's no way I'd still be hanging round the forum after a year. Some of you here must have very strange tastes.

I'd give it an 8/10. It's good, but it could've been better. Still, I'm happy with what we got and I'm sure that they will only improve it in the upcoming years.

It's not bad, but it's not great either. I'll give a 5 due to lack of any meaningful content being added.

12. I have NEVER played ANY game this long. It's been a year and I'm still playing almost daily (it'd be daily if this whole social life thing didn't keep getting in the way...)

No single aspect of the game is perfect. The character creation is subpar and confusing, the car physics are hit or miss, combat mechanics hit a snag periodically, the console freezes, glitches, bugs, modders, hackers, OP vehicle griefers, etc... There's room for improvement.

BUT if ever a game was greater than the sum of it's parts... I have never had this much fun with a controller in my hands. From griefing some low-level hunter who picked the wrong fight to going to war with entire crews, this game has never not been a blast. To starting missions with handicaps to increase the challenge (try High Priority Case with no helicopter). To dicking around doing nothing and being amazed by the amount of detail put into things that most players will never see/notice. This is literally the most massive freeroam sandbox ever created with the most toys to engage in shenanigans with. And they keep giving us free sh*t. Cars and guns. Almost monthly. What's more, even when the game is broken, it's fun. I've had the time of my life getting tank griefers out of their tanks and making them leave the session. Ever shot down a jet and spawn-killed it's pilot until you K/D went up? I've talked enough sh*t to god-moders that they actually came out of god-mode for a righteous curb-stomping...

So help me, this game is as fun (or boring) as you make it. For giving the player that kind of power, I'd rate this game a 12 out of 10.

Still the best online game ever created (along with RDR). Let's face it, we bitch and moan all the time about R*, but the idea of a massive open world where you meet and play with other random people is just amazing. No other game has come even close. R* has created a masterpiece, and this game will still extremely popular until GTA 6 is released!

Depends on if you hope to see changes or not. Some people who rate it a 5 or less and still hang around are probably waiting and hoping that there will be large improvements, especially since R* are drip-dripping updates on a near-monthly basis.

I think once R* officially say there's nothing left to come people will leave the forums until the next instalment of GTA and GTAO.

I give it an 8. If it weren't for the connectivity issues and lack of major DLC, then it'd definitely be a 10.

Given it a 7 because there is still room for improvement as I'm sure most would agree. It's kept me pretty much playing non stop since it first came out and very rarely does a game keep me playing it for that long. The downside is way too many assholes play the game and think they're some kind of god.

6/10, fair.

This game is so broken that I don't know where to start. I've still had a handful of memorable moments throughout.

I guess a 6, it had potential and it still has light at the end of the tunnel through all these glitches, exploits and all.. and I'm sure R* can make it better eventually, maybe in the current gen versions but for now it is what it is.. the game is definitely fun with friends I'll give them that.

5, while I've had some fun with it we still don't have heists and most of the DLC's they've given are just re-textured items. Sure we've gotten a few cars, but that's really it. The missions are repetitive and boring, cash cards ruined the in game economy just as much as hackers. While I can have fun screwing around with friends, there isn't much left to do after I got rank 120 and have a full garage with two properties. The heists were what would set GTAO apart from other free roam sand box games and nearly a year into the game we don't even have a single one. I haven't even touched GTAO in a number of months at this point because it became far too boring, if I want to screw around with friends in GTA I can play SAMP or GTA IV. It had a lot of potential but Rockstar dropped the ball and let it get away.

Dlc = reskins. Gta is the laziest and most incompetent gaming company ever. 2/1000. They make ea games look like saints...

Without all the glitches, bugs, hackers and modders this could be arguably the greatest video game of all time. Unfortunately I had to give it a 7.

I would say 7.8/10

The game still has problems, but overall good.

The biggest problem is obviously R* refusing to release info on heists and the general stupidity of $1000000/1000000 RP DMs, poorly done Custom Races, and Mission Griefers. But, those things happen with every game so it really isn't that big of a deal.

Holy sh!t I'm actually surprised by these results.

You'd think by all the bitching on this forum results would be in reverse order.

Gave it a 3.

No heists, a year after the games release, despite it saying on the game case that they will be a feature.

Things to buy instead of do online, R*'s greed, patching money glitches rather than actual problems with the game (maybe if things were cheaper then there would be a reduction in the number of glitchers to deal with in the first place?)

However the free updates gives my rating a point.

Listening to the community in some cases (moving cars in garages, as an example), another point.

Game was fun in the first 3 months, point number 3.

in all i feel it was a huge disappointment, so much more could have been done, for example if you go back to the San Andreas days, there was something about the game that made you spend an entire weekend roaming it, there was so much to do, yet this game just lacks that atmosphere of a proper GTA game, and to get the money to be able to have fun, you'd have to treat the missions like an actual job (long winded missions for a poor payout)

perhaps the addition or more missions instead of races and what not would restore some interest in this game, its gone dead for me.

Sorry about the rant guys, inb4 redirection to the b*tch and moan thread;)

well quite the opinions and view points so far. some i knew about and had thought about, others i had no clue about. also not that suprised at the results so far myself.

also there is no need to hark on people because of their opinions and rates. it is their opinion and how they feel and there is nothing wrong with that. :beerhat:

I also said 8, feel more like a 7.5 tho. And the majority votes seems to be at 7/8. Sounds right.

I think it can be a 9 or 10 by this time next year tho.

9.It's a great game but there's some things they could easily improve that would make the game a lot better.I've gotten more out of this game than any other.Oh and we need heists already.

No Deathmatch Filter..... 5 Rating.

Give me a god damn DM filter and i'd give it a 10.

All the jobs need filters good point. This would drastically improve the game and a lot of people would waste alot less time trying to find games they like.

This better be adressed I have also quit doing Dm entirely until they add this feature.
