I disapprove - rating of 1 given because I felt the tax payers were ripped off when I used their money to buy GTA5.

Despite many of the problems in GTA:O we've seen over the past year, I've had a solid experience playing it.

 

7.5/10 from me.

I like the story part of it. I give it a 9.

I give public free roam a 1. Not because of modding.

Missions a 9.

The ability to join public missions a 1. Most of the time when trying to join a public mission, it hangs in the cloud, then puts me in the mission alone.

The greed of R* nerfing the missions early on, 1.

Now that it's going to new consoles, they up the mission payouts so people will purchase the game again. LOL

 

 

Money is being stolen by modders. I knew it was a matter of time.

Probably 7 or 8/10 as it is FUN despite the repetitiveness and ridiculous item prices since there is a lot to do in the first place. It is by no means a 10/10 given the bugs and lack of needed features that exist. A few thoughts IMO:

 

- No Heists means a 10/10 can not be justified

- No filtering of User Created versus R* Content means a 10/10 can not be justified

- Most of all the game is not released for PS4/Xbone/PC yet and if the difference is noticeable as R* and this forum seem to claim, then obviously what we have now does not deserve a 10/10 as it will clearly be demonstrated how things can be improved.

 

Also, I do not think blaming Modding justifies bringing the score down since this is also due to security breaches at the Sony/Microsoft ends respectively.

2 is more than generous enough. The game is literally a half-baked unplayable mess.

R*'s ass-backward priorities are the main issue here - they don't fix what's BROKEN. They f*ck around and give you stupid overpowered free cars whilst fixing petty glitches like the gate glitch one. Meanwhile people struggle with the quick join option because it keeps freezing them in the clouds. Bullsh*t.

I hate the blue and yellow circles. And I mean really HATE.

lack of interiors is also a negative point.

 

However, with the last update Online feels and breathes gta in every way. A lot of missions, over the top missions and epic shoot outs. Yeah 8/10 easily.

 

Also the FREE dlc is a big bonus, whuch makes it a 8.5 imo. Soo uuh:

A game I play for a year straight deserves a 10. And it doesn't look like I'll be stopping any time soon. The problems Online has are forgivable seeing as how they don't stop me from enjoying the game.

9, the game is truly a bit buggy, not like it bothers me too much, but still ain't perfect. Also the character customization and the structure of the game looked so different in the trailers.

 

Beside the few downsides, GTA Online is perhaps the best game ever. The open world experience where you play with friends to achieve what ever you desire. The game is neat and unique IMO, and I'm more than ready to take it to the next level.

I give it an 8. Here we are a year later still talking about it, and even getting excited over rumors yet we still havent really scratched the surface of what the game is capable of (future DLCs etc), being relevant after a year as a game is an accomplishment by itself. At times the game does piss me off with some of the problems and lack of things but hey no game is perfect and as we all know Rockstar was holding back (due to console limitations etc). I cant wait to see how far GTAO has come later on now that we have next gen/ current gen (whatever you want to call it) versions coming .

Right now, a 6/10. Glitches, frustrating bugs, and "hackers" ran rampant for a long time, matchmaking is pathetic, money and RP payout slashes, overpriced items, overpowered AI, you name it... But besides those things, this game still has me hooked. I've never put as many hours into video games as much as I did with GTA Online. Besides the games faults, I've never had this much fun and interest in a game. (:

Despite the Rapists, animals, and Cash Cards,this game has been a pleasure to me. I give it 8/10.

Cool summary, but I rate my experience as a 4/10. It was nice, but this game ain't like GTA IV with unlimited potential to have fun. There are nonstop limitations and unused potential in GTAO. In addition to R*'s broken promises and silence, I ain't satisfied like most of you.

 

I'm actually more empty than what I began with.

 

Edit: As long as the [whine] and Moan Thread exists, this game is not a 10/10.

trust me I can see why some get bored. Because it always the same objectives!

 

R* throw something new into the mix because pretty graphics will only go far until it gets boring.

Single player: 9. Fun gameplay, lots to explore, good soundtrack(albeit repetive) Story wasn't the best I've seen but worked. Lots of cars, modifications and weapon modifications. Currently in par with IV.

 

Online: 6. After you have a fast car, a high end apartment and most weapons it gets quite boring. I guess that playing with other people is more fun but I'm kind of a lone wolf so I prefer private servers. Solo online has that "crime does pay" feeling.

I give 4/10. The game assets pump the score up. It's undeniably very good. The lack of animals and some details is very tolerable because this is Online mode. However, bad game balance, bad level design (mission design), wonky server, unable to deliver product as advertised, and current attitude, behavior, and communication of Rockstar are rubbing dirty mud on the game's face.

 

As a proud 12 years fan of GTA, I'm honestly disappointed with GTA Online as the rating is now in the bottom of my list, instead of always on the top like before.

Gave it a 9, one of the best games made, community are a bunch of noobs though.

Very messy launch with countless bugs,glitches and server errors throughout the year.

 

Horrible weapon and car balance.

 

Very repetitive free roam with no variations(cops off lobbies,friendly fire off lobbies).

 

DMs most times are a spamfest with explosives,combat rolling and automatic shotguns.

 

Missions,races and DLCs are plus but the game gets very stale without little DLCs every month or so.

 

After level 120,the game gets purposeless imo and you only continue playing for fun and not goals anymore.

6/10 for me.

Lack of support. I got the BS timer bug and their answer was:

Sorry we cannot help you (we are too busy fixing warmless glitch and selling cash cards)

Getting stuck in the clouds.

I cant go in my garage or put crew logo on my cars.

If I do I'll get stuck in the clouds.

Lack of friendly fire.

Can't turn off cops in FM

I think it's something completely different from what else is out there. It covers so many genres and each part feels well done enough to be a standalone game. Though I was expecting a copy and paste from Max Paynes shooting mechanics I still enjoy the shooting in V and there's a crazy amount of detail in the weapons. Driving's addicting, the online missions are fun, flying's fun and there's the entire content creator that gives you 20+ sq miles to make almost whatever you want.

 

 

Pretty solid game imo and being able to go from golfing to dirt bike races to skydiving to team deathmatches within ten minutes keeps you well entertained on a lazy day inside.
