Why R* Won't Say if $ Transfers

By creating doubt that our GTA$ will transfer to current gen, it makes some players more likely to spend it than save it.

 

Then once the game comes out, those players will have less GTA$ to spend on the new content.

 

Less money + desirable expensive new content = more incentive to buy shark cards

Even if this isn't their intention behind not telling us if GTA$ will transfer, it's certainly a welcome side effect.

I'm not buying it on the 1st day like the rest of the sheep. If I can't transfer my $ then I'm not buying. I'm not going to buy it just to grind so I can have fun later. I will wait for reviews for things like this as well as bugs/glitches.

And what happens to those who wait a few hours until someone else transfers their file to next gen and tells everyone what did/didn't transfer? If Money doesn't transfer but everything else does, I see a new production line of "legit" Adder Bonds or splurging on Pegasus vehicles. If they don't transfer PVs or Pegasus vehicles, I smell a riot...

They just announced the release dates. Chill out. They will explain the transfer stuff before then.

I am sure everything will transfer, Would not make sense for it to not. Besides, everything is stored in the cloud data wise for what you have online.

I'm pretty sure they had confirmed that our characters, along with their cars, apartments, clothes, rank and money all carry over from current gen to next gen, if you desire.
