Transferring Progression to PC/Consoles

Everything is saved to the cloud servers so why would it not transfer?

 

They think their online characters are stored on their current system...shhhh we don't want to be logical in this thread.

TBH, I think R* won't transfer over GTA$ due to glitching. This is their chance to rebuild their online "economy". If they do allow $ transferred over, they will scrutinize the hell out of said accounts for money glitching, and I don't think they want to spend their money and time on this tedious task. Remember, there are no refunds on cash cards under any circumstance.

 

 

You're forgetting that there are still money/duplication glitches...........kinda defeats the purpose when they can't seem to stop them all.

You think they did the money wipe to preserve the shark card sales? You are delusional. They dont force those sales, they dont push them either. They are just there as an option for people.

 

They did the money wipe so people would actually do missions again to make money, instead of sitting there in FR spending millions of hacked money.

 

I hate people like you who think Rockstars sole purpose is to sell the cash cards, and EVERYTHING they do with this game is some ploy to get people to buy them, take off your damn tinfoil hat and go outside for some fresh air.

It isnt a tinfoil hat. You have to be incredibly stupid to not see the cash card problem. Its obvious skeptics have never played free to play games with microtransactions when they say its not a conspiracy. All my friends see it as a problem but tgen again they know cars and such stuff this forum doesnt. This forum must be full of fanboys with thier head so far up rockstars c*nt that they are blind

Yes Rockstar has set the game up to encourage the purchase of cash cards. But it's not so bad you need to run out and buy them all the time, and they don't shove them down you're throat. They feed you new stuff to buy, some people buy cash cards but most people just get free DLC - it's not the worst system in the world.

 

As for the money wipe - all they did was remove glitched funds and they let us keep the 500K apology gift plus all our assets. This would've been done for both customer satisfaction (which results in cash card sales and goodwill) AND cash card sales. Not a conspiracy, just common sense business, no tinfoil hat required.

 

R* is not EA, they value their customers, but they're still a god damn business.

They value us as long as we keep feeding them money. The dukes and dodo prove they just want our money. They ask us what we want to see in the game. We tell them. They respond by adding it into the next gen version to try to get us to buy the same game twice. Tinfoil hat or no tinfoil hat, R☆ is turning into another EA.

I would press my luck and transfer to PC.

 

Even if they try to money wipe my character, I can bet you there will be a shxt ton of money hacks and lobbies off user hosted servers on PC.

 

Do that and I'll have my money back (assuming Rockstar try to stat wipe my transferred character).

Im hoping everything transfers over, but none of us will know for certain until an official announcement is released.

 

I think it would be bad for business if they didnt let us keep everything. Progression is progression. It should be everything.

 

What im really curious about is the CE content. I surely wont be buying the CE again (currently only standard version available for pre-order at EB/gamestop) but i feel i should be able to bring that over the new gen. I asked R* support about it but got the usual runaround.

Yes, that's what businesses do.

 

I think saying the Dukes and Dodo are just to sell the new version is a bit far - nobody in their right mind would buy the game a second time just to access a crappy muscle car and a plane that floats - it was just an added bonus. To me that was just to keep returning customers happy - and being a business - happy customers = more money in the future.

 

R* and EA are still in different leagues. R* still values their customer base as an asset, EA values their highest game profit percentages. I did have that same concern when cash cards were announced, but they seem to have been quite responsible over it. Most players are just enjoying free DLC as a result.
