GIVE US TIME TO QUIT JOB LOBBY!

If we join a job, upon joining the lobby we should have a couple of seconds to quit.

Just because I'm searching for a job, doesn't mean I should be forced to play it because the host starts it immediately.

You can still quit at the selection screen, you jackass.

why join the job if you want to quit?

using the on call feature, you have no say in the job it sends you in.

I 100% agree, i wish i could at least blacklist a few jobs i hate so that it never puts me in those.

Missions and survivals don't have selection screen.

Because if you join a job by searching, vs. accepting an invite, you have no control over which specific job you are placed into.

Then I guess youre sh*t out of luck

I think that's the wrong way to fix the problem.

They should just have a checkbox next to all the missions in the mission list in the start menu, and you can just toggle which missions you are willing to join.

So dont use on-call... problem solved. If you use "alone" then you have as long as it takes the host to start the game once you've fully joined the lobby.

I have thought a lot about this too and I think that when the on call feature puts you in a mission, where you see how many players it is in the lobby you should also be able to see the missions name in the corner where the player count is.

Problem solved!

Even if you don't use on-call, when you search for a job you don't choose the specific job. And if the host chooses to, there is no time for you to quit upon joining.

Except Rockstar will have to make the feature. And judging by many threads they can't do it properly. I personally wish the game would go back to its original state.

I have a better solution for you OP.

Just host the jobs you wanna play and it's problem solved.

It's always a long ordeal for me to get a lobby going.

It would be quicker for me to search for and quit multiple lobbies than it would be to start my own.

Join a good crew, then. Ideally, one that places quality over quantity.

Even then you can't always play at the same time as your friends.

My proposal to prevent the host from immediately starting (just a 2 second delay please) is reasonable.

Let me guess, you are on PS3. Am I right?

I don't have that problem on the 360.

It's either that or you hit auto invite first.

What is wrong with hitting auto invite first?

It takes an eternity to send invites if you it hit first.

Hit friends then crew, skilled players, recent players, lobby and then hit auto invite.

If you're that f*ckin picky, host your own job/mission. Problem solved.

You just gotta keep at it. Eventually you get a following. Players like a host who has a thoughtful, varied playlist. Just like anything worth doing you have to put some effort into it. Not expect the game to change because of something so insignificant.

More or less, a decent idea. However I still want a damn feature that says Join R* Created/Verified (Race/DM/Capture) or Join User Created (Race/DM/Capture).

I think the point here is that if you're trying to find something YOU would like to join, the game gives YOU no time to back out if it's not to your liking. The struggle is real to fill lobbies of course, but in my case, I usually get the shaft when joining something (not On Call btw) and the player launches it immediately. As soon as people like me join and realize it's something like "Mega RP, Mega $, Mega JUMPS!, Mega STACKING!", we try to quit and cannot because there's no grace period to do so.

I think a 5 second period would do well before you're trapped in a job (yes you can quit from the team or vehicle selection screen but you may not have a very good idea of what you just got yourself into due to any network issues that could force you in at the last moment).

I understand that there are alternatives to searching for jobs

BUT

Why NOT give all players 2 literal seconds to back out of the lobbies they join?

@LA_Takers

Unfortunately this is part of a much larger problem of requiring filtering of User and Non-User Created Content to improve Matchmaking. Granted you may not want to play certain R* jobs, they will at least be playable and balanced...As with On Call, I stopped using it the day after it was released as it is once again another well intentioned but pathetically introduced feature by R*...

You still get no indication of what you are joining and can start Jobs immediately as you indicated amongst other things.

Yea woud be nice to avoid rr

Rather do trash talk with a buzzard or coveted playlist with a tank

That being said its kinda sad noboddy wants to do that one with me for 16 times :/

I woud even be the one driving the tank and all as long other players woudnt hinder me

Because player bonus is player bonus :)

Quick job > R* created match

Quick job > player created match

It's a matter of time before this is implemented, and we all know R* reads these forums.

I tried accepting a apartment invite and the list changed as I was selecting, made me join a stupid 1mil rp death match

Thankfully I was able to quit but seriously
