Japan: A nation that evolved from an imperialistic government and a culture based on strict moral codes to a big but decadent economy and a steadily rising population of lonely weeaboos.

That's not how you use the word "weeaboo". At all.

Good concept anyway. I want those weapons.

Sorry, how do I use it then? :bored:

Why everybody only can think on kimonos when they talk about japanese clothes? What about actual clothes? That's f*cking stupid.
How about this? [VARIOUS PICS]

Those haircuts would be great too...
Fair enough, I just didn't think of many other casual Japanese clothing other than kimonos. Since I'm not into fashion, what are the names of those?

If they put samurai armor, katanas, and gis in this game, they would need to add a couple of "silent assassination" sneak up behind someone type things... I'd love to be able to sneak up behind random npc's and throw a hadaka jime on them...
want to make it really cool? when the samurai armor is equipped and the character chooses the easy way out, he performs seppuku... also would love to see a shinobi shozoku costume that takes you off the map, similar to Lester's ability...
or an updated fight mechanic that would allow you to block a katana strike of you also have one equipped...
The seppku idea is genius, definitely adding it in a bit :D

Kei Car seems great (would love multiple vehicles in this grouping), but considering there is already an (apparently significant) Korean population, I'm thinking they would go for that nationality first.
As for the weapon, seems like the rifle would be a slight bit faster than the Musket with the option for a scope. Aren't there any "unique" Japanese weapons like the "Katana" (which, for insta-kill on each hit, is way OP; I'd expect something like that to cost real $$$) that can be used instead of an older bolt-rifle? Say the Type 99 LMG with Bayonet and a unique (and longer reach) melee animation for the bayonet in close-quarters, instead of that elbow slug. Perhaps have it as a "charge" option? Hold down reload (or something) and you charge ahead with the rifle's bayonet.
Well, the thing is, I think we are in need of a bolt or semi-automatic scopeless rifle in the game. It actually kinda disappoints me that there are 5 generic assault rifles that are almost the same thing in performance, but not an M14, or a FAL, or an M1 Garanad, or an Arisaka for that matter. And I don't think the katana is that overpowered, the Cavalry Dagger is also a one-hit kill most of the times, and in a game where there are machine guns and grenade launchers, I don't think a one-hit kill katana is that much of a big deal - Especially when a person can also kill you with one hit by slapping you with a gun :p

A weeaboo is a westerner obsessed with the Japanese culture. The Japanese themselves cannot be weeaboos by definition. "Otaku" would be a more appropriate term.

Wow, really? I'm not really into otaku culture, but I could have sworn that otaku is the standard "appropriate" term and that weeaboo is the "derogatory" version, I didn't knew it was related to nationality.

Well, the Mineba PM-9 looks almost the exact thing as the regular Micro SMG, so I think I'd pass on that. The Type 64 is definitely interesting though, especially if it can also be converted into a sniper.

All these concept threads make me want the items we will NEVER see in a GTA game.

At least not in a bundled DLC pack.

It was featured on GTA IV as the Dinka Hakumai so it shouldn't be hard to convert.

Though it should also come with the Aerodeck version

OP this is the best thought out update suggestion that I have ever seen on this forum. It's a shame that the lead designer will probably not read this, because you've done a great job. Realistic numbers of things to add spread out throughout the various options like, cars, planes, guns, clothes, etc. Seriously great job!

I like the other car suggestion like the Miata and the newer version of the Skyline too. Now I want this update so much! I just wish it were real. :(

Like I said before, Rockstar should definitely add the Nissan Skyline R34 if they're going to release a Japanese themed update. Here's how they could do it:

1999-nissan-skyline-gt-r-r34-v-spec-fron

Annis Elegy RH7

The predecessor to today's Elegy RH8, the RH7 took the world by storm during the 1990's, appearing in a plethora of movies, magazines, and video games. Unfortunately, due to strict motor vehicle regulations in the United States, only a few amount of these cars could be imported. So, if you want this legendary beast, you'd better have a boatload of cash and the balls to handle 600 horses under its hood.

Category: Sports

Price: $1,300,000 on Legendary Motorsport

Its performance is on par with the Elegy RH8, but compared to it, slightly driftier.

Sometimes, a car isn't expensive because of the performance. Things such as looks and perceived rarity can cause a car to be very expensive. For example, the Stinger and JB700 are considered to be lower performing cars in the sports classics class by many people, but they have high prices due to their looks.

Also, in real life, it is very expensive and difficult to import an R34 into the United States, so there are very few, if any, R34's in the country. By contrast, the R35 was officially sold in the United States, so you could easily walk into any Nissan dealer and buy one. Plus, I'm sure that there are many GTA players who'd rather have an R34 than an R35 in-game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar does make the price that high, being the cash card/money grubbers that they are.

For some reason, I feel most of this idea, save for a few of the cars, wouldn't really fit in with the atmosphere of GTAV. Dunno.
