I use to hate jet griefers but now that iv got the hang of it i find myself driving my supercar to the fort at the start of every session for a jet to grief people with, is anybody else here addicted to only flying the jet in this game? and can any experienced jet pilots give me any tips that will help me along the way, thanks in advance!

I like to get a jet and shoot down any other Lazer if they kill someone on the ground more than twice in a one minute time period.

Op you're the worst kind of a-hole. Sucks having to change all intention just to clear one fukko out of the session. Though the solidarity it brings out of randoms to rid the session of a griever is kind of magical.

The jet is very fun to fly. Try being more creative with your kills by doing barrel rolls, upside down kills, flying under bridges and in tight areas. Its a whole new thing to experience.

op your a pretty big coward if all you do is kill with the jet. i love the jet to but i only use it in singleplayer or lazer deathmatch when its fair. only cowards use jets tanks and buzzards to grief people. you make me sick.

Oh for f*cks sake it's a game. just because he pushes buttons a little different than you do doesn't make him any more or less of a man than you or I. Jesus.

I can give you some tips man. Just give me five minutes and I'll unleash KNOWLEDGE upon this here fine thread.

Edit: Okay I'm back here we go.

As far as flying the lazer goes and piloting it, it really depends on how far you want to take it as piloting is gta is concerned. There is a whole sub-culture that takes flying the lazer quite seriously. You might think you're a good pilot, but if you aren't prepared with the right knowledge you might find out otherwise.

What I'm going to do is cover a range of subjects regarding combat with the lazer, then I'll go more in depth if I can help it.

1. Dog-fighting

If your going to be flying the lazer a lot eventually you will meet other pilots. You should know that if your dealing with someone who has been piloting a while they may ask for what is called a merge.

Non-Combat merge dogfighting is to GTAV what the ready rockets for the buzzard were for GTAlV. This is the formal way for piloting to face of with using the lazer. When agreed upon you both flying face to face towards each other and make a pass at the same elevation and angle. The second that merge is over the dogfight begins and anything goes. When you merge with someone you DO NOT use your weapons on them until after you make the pass. You will be ridiculed if you do otherwise.

However if your in a free roam lobby and you haven't agreed to any 1v1's then anything goes.

2. ACM(Air Combat Maneuvering)

To separate yourself further from the typical wannabe you will want to research and study these following dogfight maneuvers in order to survive.

-This video is called "art of the kill" and give you a quick 1 hour course on how to operate your aircraft during different scenarios and to help you gain a broader spectrum of what is really going on in air to air combat.

-"The rolling scissors" is a maneuver that is almost like the choke hold of dogfights, if you get someone trapped in this double helix they have two choices

1. They stay in the rolling scissors, slow down their aircraft and hope they get behind you before you get behind them.

2. They leave the rolling scissors and end up with you right on their six o'clock. If you are the first to leave the scissors you're basically dead.

High and Low Yo-yos..

These movements are pretty simple and are mean't to be used in the beginning of any engagement.

One awesome Wikipedia article... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_fighter_maneuvers#Combat_spread

and one awesome advanced lazer guide...this will helping you regarding air to ground combat. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5C0WcUE_FIxS1NPX1NFaThNdFk/edit?pli=1

If you're going to be flying the lazer more than usual, I HIGHLY advise you find other gta pilots to fly with. Doing so will likely give you 10x the skill you have now because you will be forced to improve.

Edited again for my horrible grammar...
