LightningLord
At least it's not like Gran Turismo 5/6 where Race Exhsust makes all cars sound the exact same. Gnocchi Flip Flops
Jco_176
Actually on some cars the sound does change. It gets a little deeper, it's only subtle, but it's definitely noticeable.

Yeah, I noticed it with the Pigalle for example.

BrokenLizard
I got a 5.1 LG sound bar and I honestly haven't noticed a change. I'll be paying close attention next time I play (probably never) and see if you guys are right. And as bad as GT5 sounds are, at least each exhaust has a different tone. Sports = meatier, lower pitched Titanium = higher pitched
theworldfamous
I got a 5.1 LG sound bar And there's your problem. I play in stereo but on a quality system and there's definitely a difference. I think it's the same source but ran through some different effects. Yeah my father has Bowers & Wilkins surround sound and when I upgraded my Coquette's exhaust, there was a very noticeable difference.
esato
I play using intra earphones and i noticed some changes. I noticed another sfx sounds, like when you drive on that red bricks used like pedestrian lane. You can hear the tires on the bricks.
SingularSoul
The sound changes a little bit, depending on which car/exhaust combo you go for. I do, however, wish the V8's in the game generally had more of a "rumble" to them, especially when aftermarket exhausts are added; My corquette feels like it lacks "grunt", despite having my PS3 hooked up to my 1000W home cinema system. elfoam
1000w . They must have an interesting way of rating the amp. 100w is enough to ruin your ears permanently.
V8VANTAGE
1000w . They must have an interesting way of rating the amp. 100w is enough to ruin your ears permanently. It's not actually 1000w. It says so on the box, but that is the MAX theoretical power the amp "could" produce if only ONE of the speakers was connected; but then no surround sound speaker could handle such wattage anyway. It would actually be more like 200w with all speakers connected. Also power does not equal loudness per se. (Sorry I could go on for hours I used to work at an electrical retailers...) I'd advise the OP to connect some decent full range headphones and listen to the sound with/without the upgrades. It does change very slightly. It's the same set of audio samples, but it's EQ boosted at the bottom end by the games sound engine.

I don't know why your Coquette lacks grunt but mine doesn't. It genuinely sounds like a 6.2L V8 on my B&W surround-sound.

Payne Killer
It does but you need great headphones to notice it. Don't just play and listen to the TV.
