wassuppeeple
This is getting really frustrating. i set up compatibility mode, made an xbox live account and a social club account, and there is still problems. when i try to play, it asks me to log in to xbox live, so i do. Then, it says there is an update, and if i dont install, i will be signed out, making it so i can't save, or play. So i download the update. Then, it says save and sign out. But i can't save, because when i try to, it says that an Xbox live update is pending, so i cant save. no matter what i try, i get stuck in this infinite loop. is there any way to solve this? i feel like i got ripped off. donnits
Since you're on Xbox, disconnect from Xbox Live while on the dashboard and then try playing the game. If you want the update to work, you can try signing back into Xbox Live when the game is fully loaded up and then download the update. wassuppeeple
seriously, i need answers. has anyone else had this problem?
radioman
This can be simply fixed by using the Xliveless code tool to bypass Live and WILL allow you to save-either using auto save OR the traditional save house method. The ONLY real difference is that the saves WILL move to the User Files Folder in Documents-the same way as III, VC, and SA did. I use Xlivess on both my Windows 7 machines as I had the same issue way back when.
LeonTheKiller
Games For Windows Live sucks . Anyway, can't you just create an off-line account? I know you may want to play online, but with an offline account you can play the single-player mode and save your progress(well, that's what i remember ,the last time i played IV on PC was in 2011).
