Any real reason Niko's gloves were cut?

Drunken Cowboy

He wears his finger-less gloves in all the trailers and game art. Any reason in particular R* cut them? Technical reasons?

Niko also doesn't like it when he drives drunk, but he does it anyway.

I remember when every other thread was someone complaining about them not being in-game. In response, Rockstar featured them in the PC trailer(and still didn't include them in the final build).

^Damn, wish I had a PC.

at-least you console folk have the coveted TURTLENECK SUIT, there's no decent mods to bring it back for us and no-one's bothered looking at the model formats. too great a loss to bear imho :(

Because of a bunch of stupid people at R* headquarters that either forgot or removed them on purpose for no good reason.

Yeah, there are a couple of tutrtleneck suits. I wear the black/charcoal one for assassination missions.

I miss that suit :( Why you no in PC version!?

I know the suits were kinda changed for PC version, but it's pretty weird they would get rid of those ones. They were kinda glitched though, they wouldn't count as smart clothes to wear toward Three Leaf Clover and the Pegorino missions. Still, i like wearing them when doing missions for Ray Boccino.

OT- Maybe they got cut because there would be no way to equip and remove them. As in, when cycling Niko's wardrobe, where would his hands fit into that? If you press left or right, you cycle clothes and up or down cycles categorizes. That's how console was, at least.

Well they could have added an extra category. Under Torso, above Pants.

Even if they were cut because of technical stuff, I don't understand how a pair of gloves is so difficult to put in the game?

Yet so easy to use with a trainer

Yea, true. Just spit ballin'

Because it would've taken an additional five or so minutes to create a miscellaneous option for things like that. Plus the models are unfinished. They have slightly shorter fingers and the knuckles are dipped inward.

True. I've started a new realistic GTA IV playthrough and I'm planning to download and use the fingerless gloves.

Its probably because they're a bunch of lazy assholes who couldn't animate a pair of gloves.

What? It's just a hand model set. They are already animated because they use the same bones as the normal hands.

I think they cut them only because it'd be a bit weird if he wore them all the time. Sure, they look good with say, his default outfit, but imagine him wearing them with one of the suits. They'd look out of place with some outfits, whereas bare hands go with everything. That's just my opinion, though.

Yeah, but wearing the hat is the players decision, so unless gloves could be taken off and back on at the player's leisure, it'd be a bit strange.
