Reemer
So, I dont have a credit card because I know that if I did, I would go off and buy everything. Anyways, I want a ps4, but I dont want the people to be like wtf is this dude doing buying this with cash. I also look younger than I am, because im short and skinny. I think I look like a f*cking 18 year old or something, which is 2 years younger than I am, which is really why I think it would look sketchy. Geralt of Rivia
I mean....They don't give a f*ck. Why would it look sketchy? As long as the bills are real they're more than happy to have your money. matajuegos01
ArmoredxApple
I don't really think it would, but even if it did who cares? You are just there to buy a PS4 with money that you earned. don't worry about, just go and buy one.
QuestionableChanges
If you're so worried then ask a friend to go with you. Either ways they're looking for your $$ and not you unless you do something suspicious.
the young hooligan
They won't care. If anything they prefer cash.
Audiophile
Bitch pls. I once bought a 2k laptop with cash. It was money I just collected and earned. They don't care. They just want your money and you want the PS4. It's just an exchange of goods. They may, however, check the cash to make sure it's legit and not counterfeit. That is normal though. I don't see what is so sketchy with buying something cash-only. matajuegos01 and Flachbau 2 Intel i5-4590 3.3GHz | EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB | 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM | MSI Z97 G-45Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD and Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD | Audioengine A2 Speakers Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire | Corsair M65 Mouse | Fractal Design R5 Case | EVGA G2 850WAudio-Technica M50x Headphones and Sennheiser HD 558 | LG 34UC88 1440p Ultrawide Curved Monitor
Flachbau
Go for it, just don't wave the money around in public, screaming "I HAVE ALL THIS MONEY, COME ROB ME" or anything like that. You'll be fine.

don ovdi' island
Uh no. What would be sketchy is if you were buying a 50,000$ car with cash.. and you're wearing a stained t shirt and some converse. Seriously nobody gives a f*ck. Not even in the car buying situation cus I'm sure the sales person would enjoy that big commission.
t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m
Yes. It is going to look completely sketchy using money for it's intended purpose. Mr. House

IDredMan
"Wait a minute ...How are you paying with cash ...When there's only 20 people in the world?" ^ The worst outcome. You'd still get your console, though.
RyanBurnsRed
I bought my PS3 with cash and had no problems. As long as you pay them they don't really care. Assuming you're buying from a store. Unless it's someone you trust, don't buy stuff face to face with someone off the internet.

Mista J
It's $400, not liek you're showing up at an open house and walking in with $400k in a suitcase. don ovdi' island
NYC PATROL
Sketchy? No. Awkward? maybe. (That is if you are paying in low denominations.) Cashier: "Total comes to $430" "Ok one sec. , one dollar....two dollars....three dollars....oh, nice forgot I had this 10.....fourteen.....fifteen....." Anyway, either way it's no biggie. Cosmic Gypsy
I remember when i was about 18 going into a Game store in my town with about 20 games and a controller to trade in for cash, they gave me some right dodgy looks and in the end refused me, later i asked another friend who had ID also to go in and they refused him also because the recognized it as the same stuff. Another day my mum went in with all the exact same stuff and she managed to trade it in for cash like i tried to do, ridiculous.EDIT: But really, that was just an isolated incident, i haven't had it occur before or since so there is nothing to worry about, buy the sh*t out of that PS4 with physical money. Shadow_Titan17
Nope. That's how I bought and paid off my PS4. I didn't have a bank account or a credit card, so I used my cash.
Goldn-Bayse
It'd be more sketchy if you were a 12 year old kid bringing in a huge back of quarters worth $400 Edited September 14, 2014 by EagleStrike Ai®a©ob®a, IDredMan and NYC PATROL

esmittystud101
There is nothing wrong with paying with cash. But since your young, and I'm guessing you need more credit anyway, just like every other young person today. You should atleast consider paying with a credit card with a resonable interest rate. People are going to tell you not to, that they are evil and such. They are only evil if you overspend on them. The people that tell you not to get a credit card are the ones that have bad credit already and are irresponsible to begin with. Never take financial advice from those people. I haven't had very many large loans in my life. I'm 30 now. I basically put stuff on credit, then slowly pay them off meaning not paying them off early cause its not going to help your credit when you hurry and pay them off real quick. I wouldn't make the minumum payment either, it takes too long to pay off. I would make a 25% - 50% higher then your minumum payment. So if your min. payment is $100, I would pay $125-$150. How does everyone think I got a PS4 and an X1 and HDD's for both. Big LCD HDTV, I could go on and on with everything I have. I only have it because of a credit card. Never be late on a payment as well, I'm sure you know that already. My credit score is 800 now. Not too shabby for someone that has never had a large loan in his life. Its the only reason I have my X1 and PS4. Edited September 16, 2014 by esmittystud101

Twang.
What's sketchy is that you seem awfully concerned with not appearing sketchy. Only reason you'd need to appear so un-sketchy is if you had some sketchy intentions to hide. What's your angle? Cosmic Gypsy and Coin
CheaterMcCheat
It'd only be sketchy if you offer to tarmac the cashiers driveway or request any old scrap iron.
