Where did Johnny live?

Recommended Posts

Honestly, I'd really like to know. I mean, does Rockstar really expect us to believe that during the TLAD, his safe house is a storage room in a clubhouse, his bed a mattress on the floor? Surely he must have had his own place to live somewhere else.

It probably was. Then they he gets an actual house that dirtier than the clubhouse.

Yeah, the one which Brian was staying in. That was a dump with a capital D. It could have been a good place. It was decent in principle, but it was falling apart. The state of the bath, the rooms, the boarded up windows, the whole environment was really horrible. What on earth possessed the developers to give Johnny such a horrible retreat?

Could have lived at Ashley's for a while. Lost paraphenalia on the walls, and God knows how she can pay rent.

Simple, I think he just doesn't give a damn about where he sleeps and sleeps wherever he can and wants to.

But seriously though, as dirty as it may seem Johnny probably just sleeps in the storage room and that dirty ass house. My question, though, is exactly why does Johnny sleep like the way he does, like just sitting down and leaning forward?

Probably because it's dirty and he's just sleeping those 6-hour "power naps" like all the protagonists do. Sleep is a quick necessity between criminal activities, not a luxurious ordeal.

Niko & Luis sleep in actual beds and lay down. Hell, Niko even did it when he was dirt poor in Roman's apartment. If anything, Johnny should've been given a big comfy armchair to snooze in.

True. Guess Rockstar just wanted to change the way the protagonist rests. If we go deep, maybe Johnny is tough enough to sleep in that position, instead of resting like the other members.

Or maybe, it's more secure. It's faster to stand up while being sit down, than stand up while being lying.

I remember once I got TLAD and saw Johnny sleeping like that, I tried to sleep like that for a night just for the hell of it and I ended up falling forward onto the floor.

If I was to attempt to do it myself, I'd probably end up falling backwards to sleep. I don't think I could sit up for too long before my body demanded that I let my upper torso rest without applying any vertical weight on my legs, even if I was sitting down.

Be sure to bring your bandaids and pepper the floor in front of you with pillows.

Tough, we need to learn from Johnny's way to sleep.

Or else, we should visit a doctor.

Surley gravity will take it's course sooner or later in your slumber if you sleep like that. You're either going to fall forward, or backwards, or to the side. You can't just keep sleeping upright like that unless you were backed up to some sort of support.

Speaking of support, I know in Vietnam, soldiers would sleep sitting down, back to back, so they didn't have to sleep in the mud. Perhaps shortly after Johnny snoozed off, another biker guy came in and joined him like this?

Alright, so that's from Forrest Gump. I do remember my brother telling me they'd sleep like that when he was in the Marines, though.

Johnny's brother is in army? Maybe he came every night to support Johnny's back, yeah, that's completely logic.

I get it. Your theory is that two people can support each other's body-weight, through the instinctive need to support each other. Could work. I reckon wartime is a good time to put such a thing into practice, but in peace time, even when involved in organized crime, I don't know if the situation would call for it.

Who's to say Johnny's the only person sleeping at the clubhouse? Maybe another biker joins him in his slumber?

I don't think Johnny ever "fully" slept, if you will. Since he is a prominent member of the Lost, he'd need to stay on his toes the entire time, in case of the AoD or the cops. He probably slept in the Lost Clubhouse so he would be able to go from resting straight into the business.

What about the others? I know Jim had his own place, but we never found out about the rest.

Lol this thread was hilarious but yeah, my stepfather literally used to sleep like that . he was around the same age as johnny but he only slept like that when he was drunk so idk and i guess johnny would only sit like that for a few minutes before laying down and really going to sleep ( this obviously wouldnt be shown as the game fast forwards time )

i slept in worst places, currently i sleep in a couch with my feet hanging, i'm sure an indestructible badass biker can too.

This thread got necro'd and I ain't even mad.

Keep in mind the length of the campaign's events... couldn't have been more than a week or two. Must not need much sleep if you're always busy in a short window.
