All players who pre-order the game will get $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA$500K each for your Story Mode and for your GTA Online in-game bank accounts).

A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.

 

Am i wrong or the only advantage of pre-ordering it is the bonus cash?.
The second paragraph talks about people that will buy it for PS4/XBox One/PC and that already owns it on PS3/XBox 360, not pre-ordering people, Right?

I was expecting them to announce more for SP like stand up, burger shots etc. There are so many internal buildings completed that I expected to see something about more inside locations making the city come alive etc. Then maybe a few would leak over to online lol.

Will still buy for ps4 as the hard work is done as in Ive got the console but still don't fancy a full price tag on what is essentially an upgrade especially when they offer character migration. If your char upgrades then it's an upgrade so a full price tag is just greedy imho.

i willing to be convinced. i'm just looking for an excuse to go new gen but i haven't seen it yet. & i haven't seen anything in this thread to convince me either - a new/exclusive car? really?

so yea, please tell me why you're so excited about this update??

i know what'll happen - i'll end up buying it on the 18th anyway! but that's more to do w/me having little to no self control (& a few of my friends already migrating) rather than me thinking it's a must have..

30 people online. Draw distance. Animals online. Clean looking tats.

 

 

Remember when they said we would be getting online heists?

Yeah they did but they forgot to mention the year they would be released. (2113)

yeah i think i saw a post where R* clarified and said in order to get the dukes you had to be a current gen GTA V owner who had played through at least the prologue. You must have an active Social club account, and an active PSN/XBL account and when you transfer your profile over to next gen you get a code or something that unlocks the duke and dodo. I think r* should just make those 2 vehicles purchasable on 360/ps3 only and then if you transfer them over, you keep them. that would satisfy those of us who aren't making the next gen switch.

With games like GTA V, the biggest difference wont be graphics. It'll be much stuff will be in the game, like cars, clothes, guns. Also how big the map can be, how many player can be in a lobby, and how smoothly it can play.

That isn't the point. I bought the game for the system i own, not the one i can't afford (well i could charge it and just not pay the card)

 

Why is a car left out from IV that everyone wants now being used as an incentive to buy the game over again? Corporate greed that's why. And I'm expecting them to do the same sh*t with heists. When they announce heists will be next gen only,I'll gladly join the class action lawsuit they will be facing for false advertising and fraud.

Do not want. This looks just like 7th gen GTA V. The only thing that's different is the traffic and erratic weather. I really don't care about the cars and planes. That's pretty dumb in itself.. (IN MY OPINION). If you want me to buy a game, don't you dare convince me with cars and simple stuff that doesn't change the game. It's just like another watered-down update that we get now for Online.

 

Yo Rockstar, where are your heists at, hmm? Hmm?...... Simply releasing a next gen version doesn't let you escape from what you were supposed to sell with 7th gen Online. I'm not impressed by this stuff. Next Gen may look cool and may play better, but I'm not convinced to spend another round of cash on the same game. I don't mean to deter anyone else from buying this, but I think the next gen version looks the same as 7th gen.

I don't know what people were expecting on the graphics front. It's pretty much the standard just like all the other next-gen ports (The Last of Us Remastered, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, etc.) GTA V was released at the end of the previous console generation where the systems were pushed to the limit. The Xbox One/PS4 versions are being released at the beginning of the new console generation. They've barely begun to tap into the graphic capabilities of the current console hardware.

 

I'm hoping for a huge DLC update bigger than the Hipster Update, as I'm currently disappointed with they've announced so far. But as far as the graphics are concerned, they look fine.

I don't see why the above can't be added to existing gen.

Xbox One and PS4 are existing gen, you mean last gen?

 

Last gen's hardware is too old that's why.

Apart from the nicer graphics and increased traffic, all that stuff in the first trailer is in the current GTA V single player.

According to Brian B (a Rockstar employee), the Collector's Edition content will carry over along with your character from your old console to the new one. Although we were pretty sure this was going to already happen, I just thought I'd share this here, as they've been reluctant in the past to say anything about SE/CE content carrying over.

I don't think I'll bite.

 

GTA V SP was good but not enough for me to play more than once, and GTA Online could be so much more than it is(plus, no heists yet, at this point I'm done thinking they'll ever happen).

 

Unless the game is super discounted for last gen owners, I think I'll pass.

wow. rockstar really are money hungry now. well that drops them down a level on my list. all rockstar wanted with this game is money. overhyping it, overpricing online mode things practically telling people to buy shark cards, pre order bonuses of $1000000... So much respect lost.

Who says they didn't? Everything I've read says the dukes, dodo, etc are next gen only.
