of course everything will transfer.

 

1. if it didn't it would put a lot off

2. it's hardly hard to transfer what I assume is a few config files

3. why would they transfer just player stats and not money/properties/cars? would be pointless.

 

They'll want people to be able to just pick up where they left off. they aren't stupid

 

 

Well in answer to your question...

 

1. What will it matter if they've already bought the game? Especially folks like myself which will get the digital copy...can't return that. And if you get the hard copy, it's still a sale. Whether you take it back to get something else or not. They're going to get their money.
2. We don't know what the technical aspects entail. We can assume it's not difficult. Maybe it is. Given they have had difficulties in the past replacing lost items, monies and the like...it may be too difficult. OR it may not be difficult at all, and they want people to start from scratch given all the hacked/glitched monies out there in the community. Their easiest way of making things even is to not let millions carry over whether those millions are legitimate or not. And if you say, "the community will outrage!" See number one. They will already have your money.
3. Maybe to Rockstar it would not be pointless as your level unlocks, missions, items for upgrades to cars/guns, certain clothing...and in one case a Pegasus vehicle. In the future, there will probably be more unlocks based on levels. This is why your level is important. And why they could rationalize transferring it over your other items.

Now I'm not saying this is the case. But I'm giving you a reasonable response to your query...something other than the Cash Card Conspiracy that is often thrown around here.

 

Do I want this to be the case? Absolutely not. I want my rank and stuff. And I hope that my and other's theories on everything not transferring will be proven false. It is crow that I will gladly eat with some salt and a nice bottle of wine.

I personally don't think Rockstar is that dickish to withhold things we legitimately earned when we transfer to the new console/PC.

ok here is a question for you guys, opinions/ legit answers preferably. Would it be feasible that you can access your online stuff on next gen, but also keep it on current gen and use it there too? Like say my buddy doesn't have next gen yet, and we played on 360 before, but i get it on next gen on ps4 and transfer my stuff over, is it possible to still play and it be up to date on cars, money and etc on the 360 too? I hope that made sense haha

Only if it was platform to platform, ie. PS3 to PS4 or 360 to X1. Also, all of the content available on next-gen would also need to be available on last-gen. That's the only conceivable way I could really see it happening.

Explain the exclusive vehicles other than R* being R*. There's no console limitations on why we also can't get the new vehicles.That has me pissed off the most tbh.

The Dukes pisses me off bigtime. The one car i really wanted from IV and they basically use it as a "we know you want it, buy next gen" ploy. f*ck that!

Still doesn't lure me into buying it for my PS4. Nothing saying to me is "excitement" to buy. No one will be f*cking online for 30 player sessions until (mid-late) 2015/(early) 2016. That is depending if anyone or enough purchase it for PS4, but again why bother? Nothing is said to be introduced (well they mentioned for online NEW 30 player sessions - and?) only thing said changed for SP/ONLINE is the flashy graphic colors which means nothing to me. Oh, Wait a duke and sea plane, please.. I'd blow your bucket or outdated sh*t up with my tank, f*ckoff with your new gen candy cut color sh*t remake with no sales pitched for a buyers market. Unless you are PC waiting, the PS4/XB1 versions are wasted $ as of now.

I'm just saying that stranger things have happened...it would be hard for Rockstar to defend not putting out heists for the original consoles when they were prominently advertised and there were no "new" versions coming out. Yes they said it was coming, but they didnt say WHEN it was coming. They said "spring" but they never gave a solid date. The fact is that they can release it whenever they want, or they could just cancel it completely, and there is nothing you people can do about it. Now the youth of today dont understand this fact. They have an "IWANTITIWANTITIWANTIT!!!!!" mentality and when someone tells them NO they throw a tantrum and start spewing words like "boycott" and "lawsuit".

 

I hope they DO make heist only available for current gen Just so I can watch all the old gen players kick and scream.
