It has.

In other news I've finally pulled the trigger and bought a PS4. My uncle finally bought his this week. My friend bought his, my other friend will buy his today or Monday. So peer pressure being what it is...

That extra 300K is for download only, not disk. Unless you're saying you bought a download code from ebgames, then I agree...you're in the safe zone.

The 300K is a digital preorder bonus only valid if you preorder before November 4th on PSN. :whuh:

Yes...and come to think of it...

I hope this isn't what Sony was talking about when they said they'd have something special for the GTA V fans to honor the franchise that started with them on PS1.

300K? *eyeroll*

Just checking...

What do I need to do to insure (ensure?) I get access to the seaplane? Is that just the whole - "complete at least the prologue on last gen"?

And what does pre-order entail? Just 500k between online and SP? (Doesn't bother me)

By the details that R* has released, for the "rare" new vehicles like dodo and dukes you'll need a social club account and finish the prologue. If you preorder you'll get 500k for Sp and 500k for GTAO (800k if you preoder on PSN before November 3rd)

Tow truck and Flatbed truck activities for next gen.

Tow cars for Simeon. Also the police when they need a vehicle impounded.

Take wrecked vehicles on the Flatbed to the salvage yard or to the auto shop/LSC.

The owners will want their cars back, so a shootout on the way.

Be interesting activities.

Thx for clearing that up. Guess I didn't pay close enough attention to the promotion. I don't trust digital downloads just yet >< that in combination with the way Internet companies monopoly the market here in Canada, I won't be purchasing digital downloads for awhile it seems. I only get 300 gb a month for $70 =/ f*cking Rogers... I was seriously hoping Verizon would've come into Canada and put all these f*ckers out of business.

Not sure if it's been talked about yet, but since we know that there will be new music has there been any news if there will be new TV shows for home or new movies for the cinema?

Dear god, I hope there's something new for the cinema. The cinema almost seems like a waste in this game. Hopefully more TV shows as well, I really like Jack Horwitzer, and I miss the that show from GTA IV, the Men's Room. Bas Rutten made die laughing in that.

I think we will get a GTA Online trailer very soon. Hopefully this week or next

Nah... we'll get "only" the launch trailer at the end of the month

Digital Downloads are actually better than disc because you never have to worry about something happening to the disc such as getting an unrepairable nick in it or something else happening and you'll have to buy another copy of the disc in order to keep playing whie digital downloads you don't have to worry about any of that happening...

Even with the Disc or Digital download you'll have to download the 50GB update that'll come with the game since PS4 downloads the game onto the console now so digital or disc it's going to take up the same amount of space.

The only downside is when your done with the game or bored of it you can't take it in and trade it or sell it to a gaming store.

I only have 3 games on physical disc....GTA V on PS3, The Saboteur for PS3 & Sniper Elite III for PS4 everything else is digital

Where did you get this info?

I looked on R* website and couldn't find any new details do you have a website you could link me?

I much rather prefer the physical copy. The last time I had an issue with a cd was at least 10 years ago when my friend sat on my gameshark cd for ps2. Never again have I had another issue. To each their own.

I hate digital copies of video games. Only time I ever download digital copies is if they're on sale, being cheaper than their physical counterparts or if they're part of Games With Gold.

I got watchdogs and BF4 on digital (cause I couldnt be arsed goin to the shops to pick up a hard copy) and regret it as I wish I could trade them since i haven't played either since release really.

I will be getting GTA5 for PS4 tho on digital purely because since I still play after a year chances are I will always have and want to play GTA5 and the advantage of quieter playing and never having to stick the disk in wins over imo.

Idk about you but my PS4 is pretty much silent, and I like physical copies because I can always sell it if I want to (not planning on selling GTA V for PS4 ever but still) and I want the poster for PS4 because my PS3 copy ripped. :(

I didn't have the option to buy a physical copy for bf4. Upgrading for $10 was too much of a bargain. I have a physical copy of bf4 for ps3 tho! Haha haha. ......

You can pay an extra couple of /£/$ in Gamestop and they'll insure the game for you. You could take it out of the shop, snap it in half and walk back in for another. Just saying, I'm sure PS4's are safe for a while but with the amount of ylod's I've experienced a physical copy was always better. But seriously, who the hell can't take care of their sh*t!? (Games I mean)

This is why I started buying games digitally. For those of us who still have an older Xbox 360, you're aware that the thing is super loud. I originally started installing games via discs onto the Xbox HDD a few years ago. This help cut down on a lot of the noise coming from the console. Then, I eventually started digitally downloading the games, which further cut down on having to switch game discs in and out. Overall, there were better loading times, and I could now seamlessly switch through my games with the simple touch of a button.

When I purchased GTA V on PS3, I did so for a few reasons. The PS3 version was one disc instead two, the console ran a bit quieter, it had more processing power, and I wasn't planning to go online with it. The last reason was a bit regrettable, because I did not realize that I would be playing the game online so much. I prefer to buy my online multiplayer games for Xbox, which is one of the reasons I'd like to upgrade GTA V from PS3 to X1, but I digress.

By the time I purchased my Xbox One, I started buying all of the games digitally. It just makes things super convenient, especially if it's a game that has replay value, a game that you don't intend on selling down the road. Plus, I like to collect games. But again, switching between games has been a seamless experience, and the loading times are much faster. The sound, however, is no longer a problem. The X1 is whisper quiet with it's gigantic 112mm fan. So, I'll be buying digitally once again. Besides, all of the games are assigned to your account, so if the console breaks, you can just re-download it on to a new console. :)

I would buy digitally if it wasn't for the f*cking download times. I don't want to wait 6 hours to play GTA 5 on next gen.

PS4 just downloads the games from the disk so the initial game download for new games is pretty quick, Imo of being a PS4 owner.

If I didn't have to wait so long for downloads I would buy digital a lot more.

Most games will allow you to start playing before they finish downloading. I've waited 30 minutes to and hour sometimes to start playing, and the download was only at 15 or 20%. Also, many games will pre-load onto your console before you're even allowed to play it, in the event that you pre-order it. I know PS4 has all of those features.

PS4 can preload I believe almost a week earlier? Not sure but I know for a fact it can preload and then you can play it as soon as the clock hits 12.

I might preload, just one question. To anyone who has preloaded, how long would a 50 gig download take? I think it would just be easier to have the PS4 download it off the disk, rather than wait for a whole 50 gigs

Depending on your internet speed, it may take a few hours. I have 20 down, so I'd say about 6 hours. I know with Xbox One, you can leave the console off (stand-by mode) and it will continue to download, but I'm not sure if PS4 has a stand-by mode. Does anyone know if it does?

Edit: I just searched Google, and it appears PS4 does have a stand-by mode. Just leave it in that mode overnight, and it should download without a problem.

It would be MUCH quicker installing the game off the disc, literally less than 5 minutes because you can play it before it's completely done.
