Good question. With the better consoles and pc I think they would remove the cap, unless its there for a reason other than CPU limitations.

 

I don't think the cap is there due to limitations though, it's just to balance racing.

Notice how sh*t spawns 10 feet in front of you when travelling at full speed? if you were going faster you would crash into sh*t you dont even see cause it hasnt rendered yet, which already happens anyway in full laggy public session lobbies. I stand by what I said, play single player and some cars are much faster than others in it's class. Online it's more balanced due to the cap. I don't think the cap will be going anytime soon.

I've never really noticed the rendering thing, maybe it's just poor connection on your part.

 

yea they are but its limitations cause more players taxes the hardware more, play invite only by yourself and notice how much more npc stuff spawns than what you see in full public lobbies where people are shooting rockets and tanks at each other and there not a single npc on the map, zero cars, zero cops, hardware limitations, theres no proccessing power to spawn and control them so they never show up. the more its taxed the less you see, the faster you go the more stuff has to render and the more people in the lobby the more it has to keep track of and it just cant, thats why they slowed the cars down and didnt add animals and stuff like that, simply not enough power! the same car goes way faster in an invite only session by yourself compared to the full lobby with bombs going off everywhere.

 

and no, it aint my connection, i have a 30Mbps up/down fiber connection, thats the speed of light my friend, speed of light! and none of the rendering has anything to do with the internet, all that info is on your hd and disc, your console draws it on your screen and the only data going through the internet is where the other player is at and what his name is and what guns hes shooting at you, lol! everything possible in the game is on your system already so theres no need to send it through the net. thats why you can play games with a slow 1Mbps connection, if it transfered everything like some people think no one would have a fast enough internet connection to play online, lol

Transferring your character from PS3 to PS4 will still work if you use a different PSN-id on the PS4, right? I'm guessing it will since you can also transfer from PS3 to Xbone and PS3 to PC. Just wanna make sure.

Like I said, play single player again and tell me how racing would be competitive without the cap. I have a jailbroken console and have exceeded the cap on many occasions using various mods, very rarely have I had pop-up issues.

I have experienced non-NPC spawning in both full and empty lobbies, I put that down to Rockstars crappy servers rather than limitations. It'll be the same on the PC/PS4/One no doubt.

I think I care more about that dust on my PC then I do about Dukes. If you can be that attached to Dukes you might aswell buy a next gen console..

According to the first trailer recorded from the PS4 version, it will work, yes. See the scene where you see a backseat view of Michael driving and the speedometer moving.

 

I wouldn't say it's 100% confirmed until we actually see it working in-game, though. I mean, you might as well say that the Hydra is a confirmed vehicle after seeing it in the second trailer, even though that clearly wasn't the case.

Then you didn't read very many replies on that newswire post. There are dozens of posts where people are complaining hecause they wanted the Dukes for 360/ps3.

 

Maybe I don't want to buy next gen. Maybe I'd rather pay my rent or utilities.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. First of all there aren't any servers, it's peer to peer. The only server is a cloud server that stores character data. Every been playing when it says it can't connect to the server and the game save not successful? That wouldn't happen if there were servers you were paying on, you would be disconnected completely.

 

Second why would they slow down cars and then add catch up and slip stream? And besides they aren't balanced anyway, shut off slipstream and catch up and go race a sultan rs against an elegy and see what happens, go race a zentorno against a voltic. You think that's balanced? Lol!

 

It's just your jailbroke console exceeding the hardware limits more often which causes you more npc non spawning than a regular console. My Game is way slower than average and the roads/buildings pop in and out transparently grey see through when a cheater/modder like you is in my session and you guys infect regular players Game cache like a virus with your pot leaves rocks and ferris wheels in the roads and sh*t, it follows us to next session slowing us down until we restart.

 

It's hardware limitations plain and simple. Do you have another regular console you could play it on? You will easily see then how its related to you moving faster and then in public sessions everyone combined and is even worse to the point of nothing spawns at all.

 

Or simply ask whoever modded your console and they can tell you is a hardware limit. When you are utilizing those mods it takes more processing power, and the ps3 simply doesn't have enough. I don't get how so many people have a hard time grasping this simple concept. It's elementary level stuff, lol!

 

Look around, how much other 8 year old technology do you see and how much better/faster is the 8 year newer version of it? A ton. It's not a maybe, or a could be, it's a motherf*cking guarunteed fact and it's very simple to prove just from sitting still and slowly increasing speed which creates more processor demand and watching stuff keep disappearing until you hit the max output the processor is capable of and freezes.

 

I have an old 60 gig fat and a new 500 gig super slim and they both have the same problems, ive formatted a couple times and there's no change. I took the fat one apart and re did the thermal paste on the cpu and graphics chip, which should be done around every 3-4 years cause it dries out and no longer transfers the heat properly.

 

I installed an ssd in both of them and that makes the initial load time into story mode about 40 seconds shorter but the rest of the problems are still there because the main problem is the processor is too slow and there's not enough ram.

 

Go play a non modded console alone in an invite only session and pay attention to the npcs and work up to full session with tanks and bombs going off and nothing spawns at all.

 

There are definitely some sh*tty patch code problems but the root cause is hardware limitations and this game will well never run correctly on the ps3, that's why they cut half the sh*t from story mode in the first place to compensate for adding more players but it's not enough, it just doesn't work and the ps4/xb1/pc will be so much better it will blow your mind.

It's not even fully playable on last gen because hardware limitations, that alone is a reason to buy it for current gen imo. Also, I'm sure R* has more in store for current gen, and to me it feels like R* created the idea of PS4/XBONE version of GTA V first, then just cut a sh*t ton of stuff to allow previous gen to play, then release the real version a year later.
