About the transfer, does anyone have info on whether or not after you make the transfer for argument sake to PS4 from PS3 if you can switch between the PS4 and PS3 with the same stats, money and the rest of it? I cant any info on that they're only saying you can make 1 transfer, to me that means if you want to go back to PS3 for what ever reason you have to start again but I got a mate convinced otherwise.

Nobody knows yet. I'd say it's most likely a one time transfer since there will be exclusive weapons/cars on new gen systems.

Nobody knows yet. I'd say it's most likely a one time transfer since there will be exclusive weapons/cars on new gen systems.

 

 

Yeah it's not confirmed.

But from their use of the word "transfer" rather than just saying "use your existing account" - makes me think it's a one time deal tool

Went looking and found 5 days ago they said they haven't decided yet

- New weapons, vehicles (inc dukes) and activities

- Additional wildlife

- Denser traffic

 

I don't see why the above can't be added to existing gen.

No enough memory in the console, also not enough processing power

 

I see the Denser Traffic definitely not being in due to RAM Problems, but really GTA V on PS3 never freezes for me. The Wildlife could but most likely will not, as for Vehicles and Weapons they will probably be added in a patch alot later.

 

The Newer PS3s seem not to freeze/lag, probably because they had more RAM installed then previous versions.

I hope they do it that way. If you're allowed to go hack to ps3/360 that would possibly force them to not make the dukes exclusive on next gen. I still say they should just release it on 360/ps3 before the switch. Those who want it can buy it and migrate over or keep it on 360/ps3 if they don't upgrade it or and then don't release it for next gen. That way it's exlusive for all 360/ps3 owners and will still be just as exclusive on next gen if it can't be bought there. I highly doubt people are going to buy next gen just for that car. PS3 online is free, maybe they can't afford the outrageous premium to play online

This. You get up to 6 or 8 games monthly for free (across the 3 consoles), most of them are indie games, but sometimes you get major releases like Tomb Raider, Payday2 or Bioshock. Also when there's a sale in PSN you can get up to 25% off extra discount, buying a game that's usually 20 usd! you can get it for 5 usd. Also you can upload all your game to the cloud and redownload if lost or in another ps3. Not sure how Xbox Live works, but PS+ is really worth it

In my case we have to Xbox360's and TVs in the house. Me and my partner play together most evenings.

I'll be buying the XBone and new GTAV - however I'd need to go back to 360 whenever we were playing together.

Will be the same for anyone else who has close friends / gamer friends who are still on the old platform.

 

Actually kind of annoying not being able to switch, because to start a new character I'll probably need to buy another XboxLive sub

Good question. With the better consoles and pc I think they would remove the cap, unless its there for a reason other than CPU limitations.

 

I don't think the cap is there due to limitations though, it's just to balance racing.

 

its most definitely due to limitations. Notice how sh*t spawns 10 feet in front of you when travelling at full speed? if you were going faster you would crash into sh*t you dont even see cause it hasnt rendered yet, which already happens anyway in full laggy public session lobbies. Not due to limitations he says, lol! good one

 

I stand by what I said, play single player and some cars are much faster than others in it's class. Online it's more balanced due to the cap. I don't think the cap will be going anytime soon.

I've never really noticed the rendering thing, maybe it's just poor connection on your part.

I don't think the cap is for balance, they could've just balanced the cars or adjusted it for races only.

 

I'd have to agree it's most likely console limitations - it's hard enough on the poor things in SP, then you make it send/receive position information continuously to other consoles - poor little bugger! But one other thought I had was that it could also be due to network latency concerns - the faster you're moving the more important low latency becomes and the more position updates the game would have to transmit to nearby players.

 

Slower vehicles would've been slowed as well, otherwise all cars would be as quick as supers (so that was for balance no doubt). But I don't think the original speed cap was motivated by balancing.

 

What will be interesting is to see the top speeds possible in SP on the new consoles. Some cars like the Adder, their real life versions will go well beyond 200mph.

they will start charging for ps3 psn access as well soon enough, if they dont just shut it off completely cause everyone has a ps4 by then. no ones still rocking the ps2, cept maybe a couple hundred people to play a nostalgic game everynow and then.
