Or maybe your someone like me and doesn't like PC gaming?

the only people who dont like pc gaming are broke people who cant afford a gaming rig and have never actually done it. theres nothing to not like, its 1000X better in every way with zero downsides, other than the cost of the machine i guess, lol

Except it gets games like GTAV more than 1 year later... But hey,I hope pretty graphics are worth it. Also as mentioned,I see downsides because it lacks certain game franchises which I want to play. So obviously,I'm not gonna invest in it.

Or maybe your someone like me and doesn't like PC gaming?

I don't have any reasons to dislike PC gaming,I mean. Besides the whole "PEECEEMASTURREJS" thingy but these are just kids so who cares.

It's just not suited for me.

Not always, most good games are on pc first and gta is the only reason I have a console. It started on pc but the explosion popularity pushed rockstar to go to console and abandon pc for some reason, Maybe to hard for their bottom barrel programmers to make it good on the pc as they clearly struggle with simple consoles even, lol. But it depends on the type of game you like too, if you're a wii tennis kinda guy then consoles are awesome but if you're a fps battlefield or rts coach and conquer game kinda guy then consoles simply can't compete.

Check out battlefield 4 or any rts game on a console and then on a pc for example. Your average console defending retard thinks it's the same thing but in reality the console is version is like literally half the game with nowhere near the customization ability, play ability or graphics of the pc version and only supports half as many players on the map.

A console is a cheaper and thus less powerful version of a pc and that's what happens with less capable hardware, there is no way around it. Consoles keep costs down but sacrifice ability, which doesn't matter as much to broke causal gamers. Who wants to spend 3k to play a game 5 hours a month? Fair enough, but don't be so ignorant to think your cheap sh*tty version of a computer can compete with my 3k custom built pc. That's like saying your 1980 Chevy s10 4 banger is better than my 2013 f350 6.7 diesel platinum. Not even in your wildest fantasy, lol!

Now I don't care who you are or what you like but even if you hate that type of game its not hard to understand how much better it is on the pc than a console for those people that do like that type of game and I'm not saying you personally, but everyone in general, if you can't understand that simple undeniable fact then you're a clueless noob. Excuses about cost are irrelevant to hardcore gamers, they will make the money and buy the pc and upgrade every year for the best possible gaming experience and love every minute of it, everything that is better always costs more. That's a fact of life.

Another example maybe easier for kids to understand is this. Console=push lawn mower pc=riding mower. They both do essentially the same thing but one clearly does it better and faster. Consoles great if you don't play much, push mowers great if you got a small yard, or a kid to push it for you, haha!

I'm just gonna go ahead and say that I wasn't commenting on any component of the PC or its community,I don't play on it because I've got no interest in it. Like,I could not care less that the PC version of GTAV will look amazing on PC. I played the game for the past year and if I want to see it look amazing I'll just look at some YouTube videos for 5 minutes and that's it,I value content. Also,as said, once the PC gets games I like,I'll consider switching, until then PS4 it is.

Since we are on PC gaming and "affording" it again :/ I have played PC gaming GTA 1 and 2, I just didn't like pressing the keyboard to play games, I prefer holding a contol pad. Yes graphics are better, but like I said it's not my preference.

Not everyone is a hardcore PC elitist wanker. f*ck me, yeah it may be better/ graphically superior but guess what ? ......... Not every one cares and it's not about money there's people out there that make your wages look like something they found down the back of the sofa. And guess what they probably have a ps4 over a gaming PC. Like I said you stick to your PC and I'll happily play on my ps4 and enjoy it. Opinions are like arse holes everyone has one and mine is that I would rather play on my ps4 with my friends

So if I understand this correctly, I have to CHOOSE which console I want my player data to go to? Why can't I just use the magical cloud they have and use my character on both Xbox ONE and PC? I don't want to restart all over again when I purchase it on PC since I'll be using my current Xbox live account.

And if this cloud is so magical why can't we have cross-platform multiplayer?

Some people don't want that.

You can connect a DS3, DS4, 360, XONE and many other third party game pads to your pc....even Kinect

Yup, but you won't want too cause the control is the second sh*ttiest part of a console. I used to think this way and actually did hook a gamepad up to mine for a short time but they suck ass for fast fps games and if you use a game pad the people using a keyboard/mouse will wax your ass easily every time, lol! The only good thing about a console controller on a console is everyone has the same problem so it's more fair.

Well, consider this the proverbial pot stirred...

After reading through page 4 here, I finally went to check out the video.

Nothing really NEW, IMHO. ;)

Just the same GTA:V we all know, love it or hate it. It looked like some additions to MAYBE adding aquatic life? Killer whale? So now in single player you can't swim deep with only a great white eating your ass... An Orca too!? So add the to another reason to be careful swimming in the ocean. Hell, how many of you became a mountain lion "turd" in SP because those devil cats will kill you easily?

Maybe they're adding a "Sea World" type of venue? Be worthless really, UNLESS they add in Legal Income and you become a sea lion trainer there for GTA:O jobs?

As for the dogs. Play Single Player, folks. EVERYTHING and Everyone and I do mean EVERYTHING about that trailer is ALREADY in the game! 99% of what I watched is a cutscenes from single player missions ALREADY in this Gen console (PS3 for me) that makes me not too excited. They just made it HD for the trailer.

Lemme ask anyone here on PS3. When you fire up your console does your TV indicate 1080p like mine does? Denotes HD signal. But... When you start GTA game up, notice how it transforms to 720p? Mine has and always does ever since owning the game. Point?

They make this game lower definition now! So maybe, hopefully for those that bought PS4's, they finally made it a TRUE High Def game...?!

Sorry to ruffle feathers folks, wasn't my intention here, but unless you can own a killer whale in your Online characters Pegasus inventory, it's all eye candy.

And, unless all aspects of your current Console online character can transfer to next Gen, then it's not that wonderful to me.

:(

I got an X360 controller for my PC a while back, but if you're doing free aim, the guy with the mouse is probably going to beat you to the headshot.

About the transfer, does anyone have info on whether or not after you make the transfer for argument sake to PS4 from PS3 if you can switch between the PS4 and PS3 with the same stats, money and the rest of it? I cant any info on that they're only saying you can make 1 transfer, to me that means if you want to go back to PS3 for what ever reason you have to start again but I got a mate convinced otherwise.

Sony just announced that the Japanese/Asian PS4 version will also launch November 18th in Japan (and possibly other Asian countries). It will launch with the English, traditional Chinese and Korean language.

easily, every time, lol! those type controllers are good for certain games, like singleplayer GTA, but not FPS. thats why PC doesnt even have auto aim. Its a console attempt to remedy the crappy controller problem cause no casual gamer like free aim on a console, it takes way to long to get good at it and even when youre good you still suck compared to a mouse and will lose against one every time, even if the the mouse user is a beginner and youre the best guy in the world with a gamepad. it simply doesnt have the range of motion or sensitivity adjustments to be able to compete.

I was attempting to reply to your pc gets games last comment but I kinda went off on a tangent, i didnt meant to direct that all at you only, i was directing it mostly at people who incorrectly state that consoles are in any way better for gaming, as is this post as well, because that is simply incorrect to any real gamer who games competitively and considers "better" to be things like play-ability, customization, graphics, map size and player limit type things as better and know you gotta pay to play and dont care about the cost, they just want the best gaming experience possible and no console will ever achieve that effect more than a PC will unless they start making them upgradable with better controllers, which could happen eventually when more console users start to figure out how much better PC gaming actually is and start demanding better consoles and are willing to pay for them.

The ps4 and xb1 looks to have pretty impressive specs right now but its not upgradable and im not sure how much the screen on the controller with do to improve usability but in 2-4 years they will be lagging behind in the spec department significantly and if it lasts 8 years like the ps3 did its gonna be just as sh*tty compared to the then current available tech. You simply cannot have better games 8 years from now on the same hardware unless they sandbag ability at the beginning and not fully utilize potential. Which they do, but since they are cheap to start with theres not a lot of room to sandbag with so youre not gonna get anywhere near the amount of improvements in games that you will with PC games and always utilize the best available hardware when they are created which is why you gotta upgrade your PC ever year or two in order to play the new games.

You might think a console is better cause its cheaper but thats exactly why its not better to a hardcore gamer actually, there are downsides to the gaming experience which ive previously listed. If you think the console gaming experience is good enough for your needs then fair enough, thats cool, but dont insult anyones intelligence by saying its a better gaming experience, cause its not as good as PC even when first released and its a damn sight worse 8 years later when the technology gap is huge, lol!

I feel sorry for anyone who thinks 500$ a year is a lot of money who bought a ps3 or 360 in the last 3 years, but they will know better next time around. Get your ps4's now if you want to get maximum value for your money, you arent gonna want to just be getting one 5-6 years from now, they will be the same price, maybe 50-100$ less, and they will be replaced a year or two from then and youll be right back where you are now, stuck with an old slow outdated console. Personally I do not think 500 a year is a lot of money and I never had any trouble making more than 2000$ a year cash to spend on frivolous items even when I was 15 years old. I had a construction job and worked all summer and after school and was able to buy a vehicle and build a computer and I still had money to buy food gas and beer easily, I even had one of these babies when i was 17,motorola-bag-phone.jpg lol! Living the f*cking dream I tell ya! My parent never gave me anything but food and clothes and like 10$ a week allowance. If i wanted anything cool I had to buy it myself. course the downside to that is when youre working youre wasting valuable game playing time but if you dont work you cant afford it in the first place so its a catch 22, you gotta find balance! If you are 15-16 and older and are too lazy to get off your ass and go find a job and crying about 500 a year being expensive then i do not feel one bit sorry for you. Its pretty easy to make that much money in a years time even for a young kid.

As far as im concerned as someone whos been gaming since the 90s if youve played a 60$ game for a year consider yourself lucky and you definitely got your moneys worth, stop crying about it. Most games arent even playable for that long, especially these days. Back in my hardcore days there were few games that lasted that long and even fewer that lasted longer, pretty much any good game had an expansion pack or a new version after a year and as a gamer i always moved on to the newest one, at least until EA and then others turned into a sh*tty company that started cranking out lots of sh*tty games very fast instead of making really good ones and supporting them like companies used to do back in the glory days. Now most games arent near the improvement over the previous one and they dont have near as good or long of a storyline and if youre waiting a year to buy an online multiplayer game its gonna suck cause theyve moved on to the next version usually and they get overran by cheaters whom are no longer blocked cause the developer quit supporting the game and no longer updated the cheater detection/banning ability when cheaters make new version cause the old one dont work anymore.

gta 5 pretty much sucks on ps3/xb1 and theres no doubt that render distances and graphics will be improved which is a big enough improvement for any real gamer or fan of this series to spend another 60 bucks and buy it again. the $500 console i dont even consider really, cause real gamers buy the new system the first day, the previous console version may remain playable for a while but its never going to get anything as good as the new ones and being 8 years tech difference the improvement is so great that no one with a new one will ever touch the old one again unless perhaps for the first year or so if they cant afford any games for the new one, but they slowly fade and die, its inevitable, you cannot fight it no matter how much you think you want to. You will get a ps4, and you will buy gta5 again if you think its even worth continuing to play at all, stop acting like you wont and that you didnt do the exact same thing when you were playing ps2 and the ps3 came out and you thought youd be playing ps2 forever cause 6 years later the ps3 is 500$, f*ck those greedy bastards, how dare they, my ps2 is awesome, lol! youre only trying to convince and fool yourselves, everyone else knows better.

So is this thread about discussing platforms now...?

its about discussing how much better gta 5 is going to be on the newer platforms and why they are better. any more questions?

That fits as well. I bet the differences side by side will not be noticeable.

I'm one of those gamers that has too many pairs of loafers that cost close to the price of a decent gaming rig. I don't pc game because of compatibility, and the lack of games I wanna play. I'm a GTA fan over any game in fact it's the game I judge systems on. My not be correct to you, but atleast I'm playing on PC with GTA 1 at the moment (with my DS3).

PC is only the best if youre patient. Which I am not. I cannot wait for PS4 GTA to drop sh*t is awesome!

So is this thread about discussing platforms now...?

its about discussing how much better gta 5 is going to be on the newer platforms and why they are better. any more questions?nope. You've pretty much nailed it.

That picture brings back so many memories

Does anyone think with the game coming out to new generation consoles, that our online characters would be able to wear hats inside vehicles?

I just have to say that im really excited to see finally this game coming to next gen.Funny thing: last year i went to a store to pre-order my copy of gta for the last gen and the guy told me that the game would not come up to the last gen but would come up to next/current gen in November 2014.I laughed in his face, but i guess he was right about last part of the sentence. xD (did he worked for Rockstar or what? xD)

Unfortunately im only gonna get a ps4 probably in December but i can't wait to see the result of this game on next gen/pc already in November.Too excited

The only thing that makes me sad is that you have to pay for the game again but it's alright lol.

Sorry for my english btw.
