Oh my lord, say it isn't so. Has GTA V become self-aware??

Holy sh*t, its happening! I'm unplugging all my electronics in case it spreads to other electronics and appliances.

almost at a month to go!!

it's been a long ride. if you'd told me back in October 2011 when the game was officially announced that i'd have to wait almost 2 years to play the game AND then wait another 14 months to buy the game AGAIN .... well I don't think my poor heart wouldn't been able to take it. :sui:

and here i am thinking i've got it bad...i'd hate to be a PC gamer! 3 years 3 months (assuming no delay) to just to play it for the first time

...i know...

And i also have a PS4...

Imagine the temptation from the 18th of november to january 2015...it's going to be really hard resisting to play the game on PS4.

Actually the time is not the issue.

The thing that scares me are the involuntary spoilers.

(Yesterday i had my second spoiler from the ending on the game...even though i stopped reading when i realized it was about GTA V)

As much as i tried to avoid them sometimes you are just taken by surprise.

I already had some spoilers while i was searching for completely different things...

When the game is going to launch on PS4 people will begin to talk about the game again and the internet will be filled with videos...

The reason i initially thought about playing the game on PS4 was to avoid additional spoilers and, as much as i'm willing to wait for the PC version, if i get an other MAJOR spoiler i'll play the PS4 version (Still, i hope to avoid this kind of situation).

Was the redering isssues a result of the ps3 having a slow hdd or was it the games issue?

The hard disk had a major role (c'mon...5400 rpm is such an old technology...even on PS4 they were so cheap to put a 5400 rpm)

I had an SSD in my PS3, but i didn't play GTA V.

A friend of mine, who has the same configuration, told me that the game highly benefits from an SSD (at least on PS3).

The quality itself doesn't get any better, but the textures and props loading is highly improved.

Also the draw distance.

Again...it still remains pretty poor (remember that's a miracle that such a game runs on old gen hardware), but an SSD makes it quite more enjoyable.

A little of both, sadly.

I just hate how ssds are so damn expensive. If I do bother to get one, does it need to meet any requirements?

I know it still won't be perfect and that the disc version has issues but not as bad as the digital version.

SSD is useless on PS3/360. they have old SATA connections that can't fully utilise the speeds that SSD's offer.

technically yes you will get the fastest speed with an SSD but it's not worth it considering the price and maybe storage size. if you want something a bit cheaper but with good speed/storage then you get a hybrid. again it won't be able to give you the full speed of the SSD cache but it's cheaper/bigger storage.

if you don't mind a slight decrease in speed then you get a 7200RPM HDD. much cheaper option and maybe larger storage.

5400RPM is right out. it's a joke.

I think in tests the 7200RPM is just a couple seconds slower than a hybrid/ssd and considerably faster than 5400RPM.

On consoles 7200RPM is the best option for price, storage, performance. If you don't mind wasting money then by all means get a hybrid/ssd but these particular drive should only be used on PC where their performance speeds can properly be used.

as long is it's no more than 9.5mm in height and is between 160GB-2TB in storage.

considering a 7200rpm HDD fits comfortably in my ps4 then an SSD will have plenty of room. buying an SSD below 160GB for a next gen console is just plain stupid and i don't even think there are 2TB SSD's yet and even if there are you'd be plain stupid to spend so much money on it.

do yourself a favour and don't bother getting an SSD. 7200rpm is more than enough for the PS4/XB1.

i have the HGST Travelstar 1TB 7200RPM. it's essentially the same drive that sony puts in the ps4 except it's double the storage (500GB vs 1TB) and faster (5.4k/rpm vs 7.2k/rpm).

So,uh,I was watching the trailer on the PS Store, do you guys think they're going to improve traffic diversity? I know they said they're improving traffic density, but looking at the last scene on the freeway it doesn't appear they've fixed the diversity issue. Look at all the SUV's.

Yes I'm hoping the CVG guys have something to share, James has been away on "Holiday" maybe it was in Edinburgh :p

Yes, it is rather frustrating that whilst enduring the finality phase that the Newswire article showcasing that desired content and more has yet to be summoned.

And actually in conjunction with that, the Newswire has previously supplied a new update, which is unfortunately devoid of anything with relevancy to New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V, though. It has acknowledged those who were victorious in the Red Hook Crit Milano cycling race: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52328/congrats-to-eduardo-grosu-and-ash-duban-winners-of-the-red#comments. That is an attested negative for an article on October 13th, gentlemen. Well, it is accordingly time to designate a bounty of: '$9,000.00' for Tuesday. That Grand Theft Auto: Online nostalgia is alluding to Tuesday being a drop-zone for information. ;):)

It would be more than beyond awesome if your premise of a James Jarvis surely electrified jaunt to Edinburgh for the observation and appraisal of this new iteration, resonates with a resounding truth. :D James will surely, giddily relay his extensive findings to Dan and that would theoretically entail a sizable segment to pour all of the details out. The First-Person driving mode really should be the first tidbit revealed with immediacy.

If another week should ail of an update, which I am so, so hoping that does not come to be, after the 30-day mark has been approached on Saturday, the information flow really needs to start happening in the '20' bracket of the countdown.

There is then the recent mentioning of the $300,000 pre-order incentive expiring on November 3rd. This is all indicative of something coming closer; the information hiatus cannot be sustained for much longer. That is the exciting part. :)

Well...

AS much as the PS3 doesn't take full advantage of the speed indeed, i wouldn't say it's useless.

It actually depends on the games.

Some games on my PS3 (like Red Dead Redemption) don't seem to get any better, others (like Heavy Rain) have much less texture popping and load considerably faster.

A friend, which i trust, had some benefits with GTA V, by using an SSD on PS3 (i wouldn't know on xbox).

On the PS4 The Last Of Us Remastered is an other game that doesn't take too much advantage of an SSD...again. it depends on the game.

I have always preferred performance to storage and i refuse to use an ancient technology on PCs and Consoles in 2014 (C'mon...5400 rpm...)

The more information that we can obtain prior to the Gold Master declaration and November the 18th, absolutely the better. :)

The morning of this Tuesday is inbound (per United States time zones) and given the histology of when the past two Newswire announcements transpired, there was a three-day-gap between the numbers (June 9th, September 12th, within the second week of the month, respectively.

Given that they have revolved around that vicinity of those months, this correlation could suggest that an information load could be designated for this second week of October. :) However, Rockstar could have atoned the Newswire distribution formula and selected another vicinity of October, such as Blood's supposition of the Week of October 27th. :)

New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V's release dates announcement was launched at approximately 8:03AM on that September Friday, Eastern Standard Time and the trailer followed suit at approximately 9:00AM, Eastern Standard Time.

So, in the event that an article were to be awaiting submission, it may perhaps also be launched sharply in the early morning. Only time will dictate the course. :)

Commencing: 'Wait Mode'.

^great words man :)

anyway does anyone here think, that we will get another GTA game (Next-Gen) this decade or even after the 20th Anniversary? it will be great to expand the franchise further into the new handheld consoles (3DS and PS Vita).I hope the franchise doesnt take a 5-10yrs hiatus and just be GTAO and i hope that movie adoptation doesnt happen soon enough.

Would be a great time for some news. Considering late October should be full of other news such as selling merchandise for the 'birthday' of their older games plus, the Halloween update.

i'd say we could easily see a new GTA before 2020. there is probably a group of people at rockstar already working on GTA VI. if it took just as long to release VI after V as it did V after IV then we'd see GTA VI in 2019. We could get it before 2019 considering that Take Two want Rockstar to start releasing games much quicker.

We could see GTA VI as early as 2016 or 2017. That might sound too soon for some people but think about it....if Rockstar started working on it a couple months after GTA V released they'll be close to 1 year of development already. Total development time could be as little as 3-4 years. 2016 is possible especially if TT really want R* to push the games out A LOT quicker but I think that's too optimistic. 2017 is a good bet I think.

TL;DR yes
