A great meet tonight DelnEmA68. A couple of people in the lobby thou that don't understand rules and a bit disrespectful to the host. No one is forcing you to stay in the lobby. When you post your GT's on this thread you agree to the rules and the theme of the meet.

Good meet de sorry I was late. To the guy who blew up the trucks consider yourself added to the black list. As freddy said above when u sign up to a meet follow the host and be a little patience. If u don't and want to suggest other things set up your own meet ! Maybe then you will understand how frustrating it is for people to be jumping the gun with suggestions.

 

Secondly drag racing: this quite often involves people waiting around to race. It's part of it, but there is less time waiting if you follow the hosts instructions and give him chance to speak. Plus if you lose because your trucks to slow compared to a different vechile don't stress, just plan better for the next meet, drag racing was always gonna be a part of this meet it was well advertised and it was also refreshing to do it in somthing different that the usual sports.

 

Bitch and moan over. The demo derby was great and by this time everyone was having fun, even some of the doubters early on.

 

Thanks again for hosting de I know sometimes things might of been frustrating, but myself I really enjoyed it ! Looking forward to having u back hosting regularly.

**Feedback**

 

Okay let's get this over with. The beginning of this meet was chaotic. Players were anxious especially with a lot of first timers joining. Knowing that it would take a while for the players to get to the meeting point as it was in Paleto. But apparently after telling the lobby that we were meeting in Paleto half the lobby were in another place. It took a good half hour before everything was finally together. I should of took more control. Everyone was talking at one and there was no communication. Then there was that one player.. which I will talk about later. We finally got thorough the voting and cruise which there was still lack of communication. But since there were a lot a newbies they got learning.

 

But tough love kicked in at the beginning of the drags. One player was away when it was his turn. Antother player stated that it was because he was "bored as hell" I kinda snaped and said if your not having fun feel free to leave. Nobodys making you stay. Along with other host saying the same kinda things. Explaining meets start off slow and all the other subjects on meets. I feel everyone got the message.

 

After that it became a meet! Things were the way they they should be! Everyone was having a great time! Using strictly trucks for the drags was a great twist to the traditional sports drags! Next was the demolition derby which has become really popular! We ended doing another right after! As players faded away we did some muscle car drags.

 

I just wanna say thanks to everyone who showed aside the frustrating beginning I had a lot of fun tonight!

Ok i hope not to be misunderstood and i do apologize if my words cut you De but as a host i feel you really need to show idiots and erratic elements some tough love man rather than give them leeway. As a host i totally understand that you have a lot to look into/after, before and during your meets but you really need to put your foot down (or rather in some ass) if you have to brah! Your meets are fun and relaxing but it's painful to see your hard work getting ruined by rotten elements. IF i may make a suggestion - anyone striking once, gets just one more last (not another) chance, thereafter boot him/her out if the explaination isn't satisfactory. That's tough love.

 

Anywho the meet was fun - Agreed it was chaotic at first but towards the drag race it was great I had to rush to work and was only able to stay till the end of the drag races. Great trucks and i had a few good laughs rolling with you (De), Steve and Freddy Fun time with the regulars and hoping that the new guys would join back for the next event and share a few more laughs with everyone. @Stevedogg51 thanks Steve your always a pleasure in any meet you attend! And most of the reason for them being like they were was because it was there first meet. We're talking to people who weren't when aware of the forums. It's my fault for not asserting my authority sooner than I did. But I think that they had a good first experience by attending a meet with these great hosts and regulars! They now kno what to expect in a meet and they had a great time! There some cool people and hope to see there faces more often! Thanks again Steve!

 

@OutkastRyder you have nothing to be sorry for! I was away from meets for about a month or so. I must have gotten soft. It was right off you too get my ass back in gear! But I'm back and now! Funny thing is I had a hunch something was gonna happen. Turns or I was right. But I think it was good that everything was settled with as little violence and arguing and such as possible! But that's for joining bud! Always great having you in a meet! And thank you for putting me back I'm my place! Until next time!

Awesome pics! Bummed to hear there was a troublesome player. Granted (and as said), it was their first meet but the concept of car meets isn't new even if you've never seen or heard of GtaForums. Car meets are in many games and the idea is extremely basic. Plus, the host is there to explain everything so unless De didn't clearly say what the lobby was going to be tasked with next there shouldn't be any excuses of "first meet". I wasn't at the meet so I can't say anything about it (also sorry if I'm being judgmental) but I'm seeing three Bobcat's with the same hood logo. Was that the group of friends? I never trust crews in meets so you should be wary of that, De.

Again, amazing pictures and the drag racing with trucks is something more meets need to do! They're severely underrated and I'm sure it was tons of fun.

the guys with the hood logos i think were a little new to meets (but hey we have all been there), a little excited to start jumping the gun on things, but half way through the drag racing it settled and they got into it ! and i had a great laugh with them in the demo derby, my only advice to them is step back and let the host do his thing, if there is things you want to do, either suggest to the host and wait for his decision or wait till after the meet and go and do it. there's plenty of lobby's or even solo games if you wan to do things.

 

Still i had a great time it was nice to do drag racing in something different (and have a chance of winning) with out all the double crotching or whatever it is ! (i'm only jealous because i aint had time to practice it yet)

i had some close races with the guy in the silver/chrome sandking, and i think And the demo derby was great great fun ! tash you are a genius with the vehicle choice

@Tick you are very right Tick, I mean the phrase "car meet" shouldn't bring the thought of grenades and sticky bombs. But apparently this player didn't like how meets start. (Usually slow paced at first) so he decided to try and ruin everyone else's fun then leave. But he failed and it was his loss aside from the chaotic beginning the night was great! I think everyone like the more competitive truck drags and the always popular demo derby! Can't wait to see you back! If your not back by next week your gonna miss your first scavenger hunt :´(
