Anyone like the little dot over the big dot?

I feel like the little dot's more precise and clean, while the big one make shootouts kinda ugly and feels a little too much like Red Dead with automatic machine guns. Be nice if Rockstar gave use the option for the little dot in Online and the big dot in Singleplayer.

I prefer it. I used to have the Complex aim system but I got rid of it because it's less precise. The little dot occupies less space on the screen which is great for weapons like the RPG or the SMGs

Varying in sizes for different weapons would be kinda nice. Y'know the shotgun, Grenade Launchers, Rpgs with a bigger dot and Assault weapons and pistols, with a small one.

It'd be even nicer if the camera center lined up with the aiming dot, instead of going off in either direction when you hit aim.

Who doesn't? I really don't get why the hell they made the crosshair dot bigger in Online, it only makes the aim less precise.

Obviously cos cash cards...

Less precise = More ammo wasted = More trips to Ammu-Nation = More money spent = Less money available = More need for cash cards

That's enough conspiracashcard for the day I think!

Sometimes I wish the little dot was a touch brighter, my old eyes sometime lose it

I heard that. Thank goodness for AA, I have to get all close to the tv when I'm trying to aim manually.

Little dot is too f*cking small on a 26 inch screen

still too small in a my 32" tv...

small + being white color = i cant see that sh*t!

Complex FTW!!!

I use the little dot, reminds me of all the times in games without reticles that I'd stick a piece of Blu Tack on my monitor to improvise one. Not to mention it's also much cleaner looking.

If nobody figured it out yet, maybe rockstar made it bigger so it is less precise. if everyone could aim perfectly how boring would the game be.

but then what is Auto Aim then?

also i use the complex dot myself, but i thought you could change it in SP and then that carries over to Online. i know some of the other setting options do this. just never check it all out myself though.

I have a 50" TV now instead of 30" but have not tried switching back to the Simple Targeting Reticle as I have got used to the Complex...Main issue apart from how small the dot is, is that it blends in with the background environment to often. Maybe I will try it for a change.

The smaller dot in SP is a bit hard to see so I appreciate the slightly larger dot in MP. I actually find the size to be just right.

My tele is too big too for the small dot. When I take my system on the road, SMALL dot all day. But in the living room at home? Never!!!

Even if the dot turns red, as someone mentioned sometimes it does get lost in the color. Rarely though for me.

Head shots are too easy to get in this game though, my accuracy in this game is MUCH better than my accuracy in RDR.

I like the bigger dot. When I play singleplayer sometimes I'll lose the dot on the screen completely. I don't like playing with complex, as I find it takes up too much space.

You better hope that was a '90s pop culture reference and not one for that PoS that's been floating around the 'the net for the past month...

used the dot most of the time, recently switched to complex.

i'm changing back to the dot.

i sit close to a 32' LED with proper calibration so the dot is always visible even in bright environments.

plus i know where the center of the screen is at all times, having played MP3 to exaustion makes me know exactly where the reticule would be in relation to the character's head in R* games.

since GTA4 i've prefered the simple dot, complex takes away the satisfaction of seeing you bullets hit the target and takes away from seeing targets past a certain range.

DarkSavageDeathlyCloud

I only have sometimes a problem with names on the minimap.

if many people are around the same area...names and dots overlap eachother, wich is anoying like hell

Thank god for the mental state so that almost nobody has the same color
