Hm, on the ScriptSearchlights limit... 'till it's fixed you can disable it by comenting it (adding a ';' in front of it) in the ini.

But isn't it EU exe or something? We support only 1.0 us compact and hoodlum(14 383 616 bytes).

are you trying to fix our problems?

it's hoodlum, and yes it does fix the problem...

 

ain't see any differences here (though that, the building still flickering here)

Question, I'm looking forward in increasing the number of gang peds to 6 each of them. Vanilla SA only allows me to add 2 new peds and I've read this OLA would allow me to increase that. What would I need to change and which file in order to have at least 20 more new peds slots?

 

I added 3 new peds under the ballas and they show up good and all, but suddenly my game crashes. Anyone know what could bethe problem by looking at this modloader log?

Edit:
I left out the new peds by adding a # and it crashed no more, so I'm 100% sure it has something to do with the limit, as I added 3 new peds, and vanilla only allowed 2 to be added, they do show up and interact with me and the gang though, but it was during combat when the game would randomnly crash. Any suggestions?

At the end of the GTA3 limits in the .ini, there is the option to change the key to display the limits on screen.. By default it is F5.

I wonder if adding handlings will be better with this adjuster

i wanna add handling too.... coz' handling adder dont work for me.. the car wont go or move....

 

afaik you can mix this limit adjuster with fastman92's limit adjuster, which has a handling adjuster.

Yes, it's stable. Although some limits e.g cargrp.dat have a little bug (no memset of memory with NULL) that was fixed in unreleased 1.3 version.

handling.cfg limits have no bugs.

 

If you asked whether using 2 different limit adjusters is stable, then let's define where does the stability come from.

Game is considered stable when it doesn't crash and that could happen because of patched the same memory address by two different ASI plugins.

Functions that are patched for handling.cfg limits are unlikely to be patched by openLA.

Which exes do i need for steam versions of GTA3 and Vice City? All no-cd I have tried give me error when loading or starting game...

I know fastman's limit adjuster patches them but would be nice to see it here as well, don't like the idea of using 2 limit adjusters.

Since this is supposed to be plug 'n play, avoiding user config, the MemoryAvailable limit is set to be a percentage of the physical memory, so someone that downloads this adjuster and has 4GB of ram gets 2GB of streaming memory while someone with 1GB of ram gets 300MB.

(ofc you can set a non-percentual amount, but this comes like this by default :))

Hmmm, I wonder if this percentual memory limit is desirable. Here are some thoughts:

-Consider two users that have the exact same files and the exact same settings. It is possible that the game runs correctly for one user but produces bugs for the other user. Since the effects of modding can be overly complex, this may lead to bugs that are hard to find or produce confusion.

-Another consideration is if you have, for example, a texture mod that needs 500MB extra streaming memory. It does not matter how much memory your computer has, you must use that amount extra memory and providing an absolute amount may be clearer to the user.

To me it crashes at half load the game, when I have all changed the maps I deleted recently there I went well but when you move the mouse crashes again. Link / 2012 because the old version I went perfect without problem, if I am using this old settings I have tried to make the numerical parameter copied to the new me went perfect, but the maps do not ubo way to make it work.

saves should be irrelevant, even the streaming section in saves (which breaks when changing the amount of streaminginfos) should be of little to no relevance assuming recovery ends up loading dependent models by hand
