[ENB] MMGE

Fixed package which fixes bugs with no DOF configs has been transferred successfully to GTAinside servers and will be online shortly. This time, also the filename should indicate that it's MMGE version 1.2.

 

@alayanrole: why updating things here? The properties of MMGE didn't change, I just made bugfixes.

Hi! I have noticed a shadow problem just like swaggerolardo had.

I have an error message saying this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 (3.2 GHz)

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro

By the way, it's an awesome mod and thanks for the fix with the modloader, works perfectly!

Well, that is issue of Shadow Settings Extender and only the author of it can give support. At the moment, DK is fixing another issue on SA-MP which could possibly make, once solved, MMGE fully SA-MP compatible with no loss of anything.

 

I can only think of an access violation .... try some generic stuff that I always try when something isn't working properly: If your GTA folder is write protected, remove it. Try renaming your GTA folder. Try running SA as admin. Try running SA in compatibility mode. I'm also interested in a solution because it's the only thing I have 100% no idea what to do; I know literally everything about ENBSeries itself but it's a third party ASI mod and I'm not its author nor have I ever seen the source code.

I tried everything you said: I always keep another copy of San Andreas on my PC, so it was renamed, I removed the write-protection, I tried to run it as admin and finally, I tried to run it in compatibility mode. None of them works. Anyways, thanks for your help! ^^

 

Edit: I could play when the folder was just renamed, but after all changes, i got the error message about "shadows_pixel.fx", but when I closed that window, the game has stopped working.

Well, I heard Marty himself updated the archive on GTAInside.com. Maybe it's time to start updating stuffs here...

Alayanrole, SSE + ENB shadows don't work but 0.248's shadows are so ugly, I decided to use SSE's ones only so in the enb.ini, shadows are off. Only 2 issues are caused by SSE, that thing that he does not find the shaderfile and on SA-MP the enb reflections (yes reflections not shadows) bug the shadows as well. If you have more questions, PM, I want offtopic to be kept low here.

 

@SSE problem: Data Execution Prevention enabled maybe?

Marty, each day i play with your MMGE i think it's better.

The other day i noticed that the car shadows dessappeared and only the ones from some car parts stayed (the rest of the shadows like peds and trees stayed). I've read that you used DK's shadows extender and maybe that has the issue.

But when a SA::Render stable version will be released, I think that DK Shadows Extender will not be necessary.

Wtf? How does that cause lag? When you set that to 0, it disables stencil shadows at visual fx quality low, like it is by default. If you use low fx quality, it should give fps and if you use higher fx quality, it has no effect at all.

No support for SA-MP, MTA and incompatible hardware such as Intel VGA, AMD 3000 and prior, these are not meant for graphical modding and modding in general.

 

Intel HD is just not supported by ENB, it may work, it may not, for reasons which only the devs of Intel stuff know. Ask them.

 

 

 

so marty i have Intel Pentium idk what the series 3.0Ghz with ram 4gb and Radeon HD8500 2gb and black screen appearing everytime i use your enb, i tried all stuff in this topic but nothing can fix it maybe my pc isn't upported, but when im using enb from somewhere i forgot the name, its working fine only this enb having problem

 

 

 

 

and im using win xp

 

 

EDIT: what's your pc specs, i saw in ss it run on 55fps :O wow i hope i can upgrade my pc

Hi

There's a bug in the timecycle file, on:

 

Midday - extracolours 1

 

which that affected on (some?) interiors like Alhambra dance floor on LS and turning it into pure white very bold fog. I copied parameter from another daytime replacing this. and voila yeah i've just realized if there was interior timecycle parameter too.

I apologize if this is off-topic, but since you disabled PM's I will have to post this here.

 

So I think you're aware about those ugly blocky sky gradients that SA has, so I was thinking do you know of any ENB shader out there that fixes them?

 

If yes where can I get an ENB that contains only the fix for the gradients and nothing else?(I'm really a noob when it comes to ENB)

Yes, the gradients and many other things are fixed due to this exact reason.

To make sure Sidoarjo's claim.....

 

 

 

The timecyc.dat file contains the information for how to display the sky, weather effects and time of day. It is split into the many sections. There is one line of data per hour in the game, per weather type (except in San Andreas, where there are hours Midnight, 5AM, 6AM, 7AM, Midday, 7PM, 8PM, and 10PM. In the Vice Cityand San Andreas timecyc.dat, there is an extra section at the bottom of the file named "EXTRACOLOURS". These extra colours are used for building interiors, but should function the same.

And you do know that MMGE has more than the effect.txt, it has the enbbloom.fx which does bloom, enbeffectprepass.fx which does DOF, enblens.fx which does lensflare, enbeffect.fx which combines and tonemaps the image and the effect.txt is only post image corrections like AA?

Damn, I'm sorry. Wrong thread. I meant to ask how to load master effect with ReShade. The name MMGE confused me, sorry.
