Marty, amazing job, really. Tremendous quality and excellent performance.

Is it my GTA or maybe your particle.txd that makes helis shadow look like the burned streets when a car explodes??

 

It's simply R* logic at it's finest.

 

Heli's shadow "shad_heli" in particle.txd is the same texture as a texture when you make an explosion (explode a car, rocket launcher, grenade etc.)

I've noticed it for quite some time now, maybe someone would fix it so explosion texture points to something in effectsPC.txd perhaps?

DId you just copy the folder or installed SA properly on Windows 8? I see lots of people just torrenting the game folder, did you do that?

I installed properly. Clean game works good.

 

EDIT:

I figure out that d3d9.dll file causes crash.

Great ENB, as always ^^

Sadly, I have a problem. For some reason, all the car lights become black when they are supposed to be lit.

The problem is solved by turning off reflections.. weird.

Ever seen something like this?

If you would read the topic you could see that me and even Marty McFly have this problem, and it's not this graphics setup problem, but the newest ENB itself. The guy who makes ENB don't have this problem and he refuse to even work on it. (I read this on enb forum)

This new enb is a little buggy !

 

I had some problems with changing game folder's name and start having crashes on startup.

 

Also...shadows in AMD cards are hilarious...just like cartoons !

 

and sometimes I get that black screen bug...it's not a M.Mcfly mod's fault...it's an enb fault !

 

There are some advantages though....Ambient Oclusion performance is great. !

 

but car reflection performance is still crappy...my 7950/3GB cannot handle that properly (if only Boris used mipmaps for reflections :cry: )

 

I will give a try on this mod...even though it seens too colorfull for me (by pictures view).

PS...Is there any way to get water reflection (even fake reflection...or just a better specular brightness) by using shaders on this enb ???

Your card cannot handle reflections? That is the cheapest ENB effect of all. Fake reflection probably not, I cannot access water surface. Game folder renaming must be problem of another mod, ENB isn't relying on folder path. Otherwise, the ENB would crash instantly for everyone because it would use my own folder path which is different to yours.

Do what I said, and It will work. I know 0.248 isn't working for W8, but this is how I got it working for me. You might have some problems with Editor crashing and some settings not changing but Marty's enb will be fully fuctional. I guess SA crashes if 0.248 starts up before game, mod loader starts SA first and then d3d9.dll I guess.

:D Why everyone keep saying that it's not working with ENB, it is working for me. New enb is working ONLY with mod loader.

No, ENB is still connected with his shaders. No one will be able to rip off his stuff.

Exactly. I don't see how you came to your conclusion, MrMateczko. The mod itself is still there, only the file locations changed.

I was thinking about the text that appears when you launch the game with ENB, but I don't think it has anything to do with anti-stealing or to anything.

No matter though, the most important thing is that it works on all systems now.

I do admire the clean layout with minimal files, no more 6+ files just for the FXAA. :)

And to end my curiosity, Copyright_by_MartyMcFly.png also has a role?
