But still I wouldn’t doubt that the main boys at rockstar would stick around to have some kind of control over it. It’s not like they would give Leeds the keys to the kingdom and say “do whatever you want”. Curiously enough, I like to think that VCS was rockstars testing grounds for a protagonist who you’re supposed to feel for, kinda like Niko. Vic’s story and motivations for doing crime things was pretty different to the rest of the protagonists before him and not too unlike Niko’s after him. Maybe VCS and GTA IV were written very close together, so Dan Houser was in the "state of mind" to write a more serious, down-to-earth story where you care about the protagonist, so he could write for GTA IV. VCS was only released 2 years earlier because it was a simpler game in an engine that Rockstar has used for years. Very interesting, yet as usual, should be taken with a grain of salt. It doesn't seem too impossible though, seeing as how V had ambient music during gameplay. mads1153, UltraGizmo64, Spy Fox and 15 others

Strangely this is the only IV beta song I couldn't find anywhere. I have only seen it on Myspace but I guess it's one of those deleted songs. It won't play if you click it. Still there must be some players who downloaded it when it was avaliable.

Motka 134
Attempted to replace The Journey's logo with the early one. Leaves a lot to be desired since the pause menu image with the early logos is kind of low-res. BrownieBear, Reizov, D.VA and 1 other

It looks like absolute ass. 1. The quality of it looks laughable next to the other logos 2. I tried to make some adjustments to it like color adjusting to make it match the other ones but it looked even worse. If someone could link me to the source where @cctcat70 found those pause menu pictures then I may be able to do something with it. EDIT: Turns out @Kalvin already did a fantastic remake of The Journey's early logo 3 years ago. Whoops. Edited November 17, 2019 by Motka D.VA and Kalvin

Ash_735 17,438
Not quite GTA IV but TLAD, a recent finding shows an earlier background colour used for the loading screens in TLAD, in the final they opted for the basic faded white backgrounds which were the same as the PC version of GTA IV, leaving TBOGT being the odd one out which changes the background on the loading screens. Now for those with a very keen eye you might be thinking that you've seen those colours before, and yes you would be right, here's the game backing image on the Xbox 360 version of EFLC: Edited January 20, 2020 by Ash_735 Kalvin, kubon352, NightmanCometh96 and 13 others
kubon352 786
... and as you can see above, Johnny's TLMC patch above his hip could be black in beta, as it is actually white in the final game.
