[For Racers] - Offroad Tires Improve Performance (Video Included)

For all of you racers out there, I have some great news for you. Ever since the introduction of performance increasing spoilers, the racing community has found so many other variables that can increase your chances and your lap times. Along with cutting onto sidewalks to increase RPM's, implementing off-road tires onto your car allows you to take sidewalks at high speeds without spinning out. Everything has been tested and explained in the video below.

 

 

Please take the time to answer the poll above and discuss whether you would sacrifice the look of your cars for better lap times. As for myself, it's probably one of the hardest decisions I will have to face while playing GTA: Online.

What i'm getting from this is that the uglier your car looks, the better it will preform. GT wing and offroad tyres here I come.

That's a pretty close minded statement considering the fact that you probably race against randoms instead of actual members of racing crews.

I tend to drive on the road and when going over curbs to rarely cut a better line I back off for a fraction of a second anyway and it makes no difference

 

tbh I really am very very dubious about this...I know this guy is respected and has made some good tracks but I know I've taken that line through that first right hander with high end wheels on a zentorno and not span out or even had a problem...strangely I do have revolver wheels on my zentorno now so it wouldn't make much difference to me anyway...

 

If it isn't in the code how could it change it is my question?

 

my bifta on grass route I always win by a country mile yet it doesn't have off road wheels...my dubsta doesn't have off road wheels either and does well in my suv races...

Good thing I don't race. The last thing I'm going to do to my cars is ruin it with off road tires.

 

People who would put off-road tires on anything that isn't off-road disgust me.

It's probably just an unscripted game mechanic like how the sidewalks increase RPM's. The only difference the really make is being able to absorb shock better, which in my opinion, unnecessary if you know how to control speed when taking sidewalks.

I really won't put any offroad tires on my cars after thinking about it. It's too unrealistic.

I've never been a fan of the aesthetics of low profile tires, but offroad tires usually don't look good either.

 

There's often tires amongst Lowrider, Muscle and Tuner that suit my tastes though, so when this news broke it was welcome to me, because it's nice to know they're at least the second most optimal performance choice after Offroad.
